stock Android isn't as bad as you guys make it seem. Miui is good, but over 50% of the users of xiaomi's product prefer stock Android to it.
I nr dey even talk about stock versus skinned. I mean the rom itself, the way the OEM implement Android itself, simply put, optimisation, synchronisation of hardware and software, then support.

Just like most of the people I have interacted with who use Transsion device, they don't even know the processors their phone run on. I was in a phone sale shop the other day and the sales rep was trying to explain why this model is better than the other, the buyer only said "shey it has big battery and the camera clear" that was all the important information the buyer needed not all the considerations we tech enthusiasts put in before choosing a phone to buy.

It is just a tale of different strokes for different folks
the thing is baffling why buy a phone just cos of camera and battery or just brand name? Its extremely weird

why should I allow them leave in ignorance? That's how one guy I met in January, I knew more gestures in his Iphone X than he that was the owner

But it isn't though, people will always buy what they want to regardless of what you tell them. Their money, their choice.

according to commenters on miui forum and xda devs, a lot of people complain about miui os especially 1st time users. In fact on this thread people asking for help on xiaomi phones with miui are far far more than those complaining about xiaomi phones with android 1 and that's why Mi A1 and Mi A2 and Mi A2 lite sold so well

Naaa, u don't have an idea of what you are saying, freak faya! You think this is about brand? I will recommend some Tecno or Infinix devices over some Chinese brands anyday. I am not against your going for whatever brand you want, na your money na. Am talking about recommending some brands to people, this is more than affordability. How can I tell someone who has managed to raise 32k in a period of almost a year and is not planning to change his phone anytime soon to buy brands like Oukitel, Leagoo, or even Soda? And about Xiaomi, what other brand do you think is better than Xiaomi in the mid range segment considering price / value? We are ready to learn sir.

Navigate to Settings and then select Battery & Performance in the list, select 'Choose Apps' and click on all the apps to select Restrict background Activity' on the none critical apps.

Makes no sense having some of the apps running in the background after closing when they are not critical to your usage.

Ok. Thanks

First, can we say all or majority of the commenters on Xda or miui forum a representation of the total users of Xiaomi devices? Even using this thread as a sample space, how many percent prefer stock over miui? How many users of Xiaomi even know what Miui forum is? I can bet that over 80% of Xiaomi users on this thread have not made a single comment on miui forum, let alone Xda.

They left xiaomi and bought infinix or tecno or soda or elephone or cubot? Am sure, if they are phone geeks, they would opt in for premium brands which offers what Xiaomi offers or more like Oneplus, Huawei, Nokia, Samsumg, Iphone,

Of course no doubt, but are you all on Stock Android or running some other custom roms? In my own case, everyone around me, over 20 using Xiaomi from the Redmi 2 to the latest using the Mi 8 lite are on miui. Even using the Xiaomi tweaking thread as a case study, you can tell most Xiaomi users are still on Miui, otherwise that place for dey rush like market.
