Anytime i read any news on covenant university, i see many people who comment speak out of senseless sentiments and ignorance. We must remember that it is a CHRISTIAN school not a secular institution. They made this fact very clear to whoever wants to be part of the school. Christian schools are expected to not just carry out academic activities, but spiritual activities.if you don't want the spiritual part dont come to the school. I dont see anyone talking about islamic institutions, that's simply cos they wunt compromise on their islamic rules and regulations.

2. Don't public uni grads proceed to do master abroad after graduation also? That makes you assertion a paradox.

75% of these Start ups are from Covenant University it doesn't even cover 5% of very successful ICT start ups doing great in Nigeria. I'm talking of Multi million dollar and multi billion naira companies. No matter how much one wants to hate, the facts are there. I know more than 50 CU graduates. Maybe only two or three are average or somewhat dull. Majority are very very sound individuals, forget all this "glorified secondary school" people keep ranting online.

So does Primary Schools. Are the degrees recognized abroad? The guy has 3 degrees.... registrar job... at the same CU.... and what does it show when he/CU states that no one will be speared?.... really? Now that he is out of a job...let's see which doors his degrees will open. Universities are for higher education...not discipline.

I'm not a CU basher but this new rule is just outrightly crazy. Why should you force tertiary institution students to wake up by five to go to church! It's absurd and even counter-productive.

Isn't it hypocritical that, Oludayo who was a major promulgator, initiator, driver, prosecutor ...etc. of some of the stringent rules & regulation while he held sway as the Dean Student Affairs and 2-term Registrar now just came to his senses that some of those rules by coercion are more fruitless than imagined.

CU students, AUN students fall into this category. I work in the IT industry, all our interns in the last 2 years have been CU and landmark kids. We have absorbed a number of them and they have become highly skilled. But they came in because they knew the MD, business connections etc.
Another factor is that these kids have been attending the best schools since kindergarten, so it is not surprising if they are highly intelligent, they have been exposed to the best schools all through their lives. So their intellect is not just due to CU. Its a summation of the privileged life they have lived.

Why i can never see the fact that CU is one of the best university in Nigeria as a good thing for Nigeria...Bkaz 80% of Nigerians can't afford to enter the school.. And Social inequality becomes worse in Nigeria!!!
