Yes, this can happen --though it depends on your definition of a few years. It will be very hard to displace UCT, Wits, Stellebosch..I've been to some of these places.

However, if Covenant continues this way, with the money they are pumping and their insight, they will reach top 3 is a few years. I think it will be relatively easier to displace Makarere and Kwazulunatal.. But UCT, Wits and Stellenbosch, e go hard in the short term
Yeah UCT, Stellenbosch and Wits would be difficult to displace. But CU would definitely displace Makerere this year...

we need the economists, sociologist and psychologist too....

we need a balance that cuts across fields....

Economics is a very important field, and we need more solid economists in Nigeria

we need a whole range of fields, not just the science ones
We need STEM only

this mentality is a very terrible one to have undecided
How can you say we need STEM only?

We need STEM quite alright, but we need much more than just STEM undecided

Take a look at the critical sectors in Nigeria, and you see that our citizens are not participating.exploration of the oil?refining the oil?shipping the oil?mostly foreigners earning more than locals.lebanse dominate construction and building,Chinese dominate construction ,minning ,trade and manufacturering.indians manufacturer in Nigeria .we need stem in an under developed country.

As far as I’m concerned, convenient university is the best school in Nigeria. It’s still evolving and has to do away with some practices and learn new practices but I can see a school with a vision to be the best in Africa and maybe the world someday.

Hiring foreign professor with Nigerian Descents to lead research while teaching in Nigeria will greatly open up the marketability of the University and increase the variety of talent pool groomed by the university!

P.s. I went to a federal school where I was abused and mistreated and victimized by lecturers who now make less than the guys that man my gate. It is well.

I strongly encourage all parents with university aged kids to try private universities or go abroad. Don’t kill your child’s talent in federal unis.

Boss pick my call na. U may be my destiny helper Sir.

As little as you can will be appreciated.

Which Unilorin? Iffa hear!

I have personally requested for 2 transcripts from Unilorin since April and August last year, they still can't find either or both. Claiming they were not computerised and can't find the hardcopies.

Shame of a University with 'ethno-religious' grandstanding.

Which yr did u graduate from Unilorin or which yr transcript did u requested for?? Getting transcript in Unilorin doesn't take long at all...

I know of a good number of Indians whom are in Nigeria for management roles

The majority I have met don't have degrees, but technical education, only Indians family business culture in Nigeria is like that ,because they do accounting, sales and manufacturing and Nigerians has labour. The wife is an accountant, the sons are sales and marketing and the father runs the factory with Nigerians labourers, because they don't trust Nigerians. You don't see clearly the problems of the country.our problems are critical ,you need to take all the problems of society into the class room and produce graduates to fix them.i hate to always see a white man in big projects in Nigeria.

BUT WE NEED MUCH MORE THAN STEM

Even though the government subventions are not enough to run these traditional universities, the like of the university of Ibadan has transcend all subjective believes and of course has over the time edged herself as the most celebrated and the best University in Nigeria. It'll take a few decades fro CU to achieve that feat
