Just to clarify if you would have gotten PPR before the baby arrives. If you are going to land in Ontario, start looking at midwife clinics in the city you intend to settle to see if they will accept your wife. I used a midwife clinic for delivery and didn't have to pay except for some lab tests. But the pregnancy up to delivery should be without complications if not you get sent to the hospital and that means huge Bill's. Also explore pregnancy care centres. They may refer you to a midwife clinic/Obgyn which can accept you on short notice Runo03: 5 Likes 3 Shares |

This is what I did: Before I left for the hospital I sent an email to AXA( The office that handles claims is in France) telling them I am.going to the hospital. I kinda did it to give them a head up. When I was done at the hospital I told the nurse to give me a medical report in Axa's format but she rather gave me a print out of the diagnosis and everything relating to the visit which I forwarded to AXA, including my policy document and passport data page. AXA negotiated and paid the bill to the hospital. PS: there is an excess policy of about USD100 on their policy meaning they would only settle a claim after you pay the first 100usd. I did not understand what the excess meant until I had to revisit and pay 60CAD. When I sent it to AXA they claimed the excess policy clause. evanehman: 9 Likes 6 Shares |

I had to call the Finance department the next day to get my bill sent to my house. It is not like Naija where you pay before service but AXA had negotiated based on my email with the hospital and paid the bill. wizean: This got me laughing, to be fair it's not only Nigeria but Africa and any where you meet black in majority. Before Europeans arrived in Canada it wasn't developed. Indians and we blacks are more connected to nature & maybe this is the reason why a lot of things are left the way we met them 10 Likes |

My people my people, how una dey? I want to invite my mother-in-law via visit visa and I need some clarification. 1. Can I be the invitee instead of my spouse? 2. If yes, does she (mother-in-law) need to show evidence of finance (statement of account) or I can use mine to support her application? Also let me know the amount value 3. If no, does my spouse need to be working to make a successful application for her mum? I am mostly worried about who to be the invitee and financial status. Thanks |

Please i hear you can come into canada freely with a SOLOMONS ISLAND passport. How feasible is it?Whats the implication |
Re: Living In Canada/Life As A Canadian Immigrant Part 2 by evanehman: 5:34pm On Mar 31, 2019 |
GEJDHERO: Solomon Islands citizens with GENINUE passport don't need visa for travelling to Canada as tourist. The stay is usually Short stay with a period of 180 days and visa expires in 180 days and you cannot work or study as a tourist. An eTA is mandatory for all visa exempt national..An eTA doesn’t guarantee entry to Canada. When you arrive, a border services officer will ask to see your passport and other documents |

GEJDHERO: What do you mean offer? Are you dual citizen or how do you intend to actual a solomon island passport .. I smell scam, becareful and do not waste your money on fraudster promising fake passpport And no other way you can stay in canada on a tourist entry even usa citizen cannot convert tourist visit to permanent stay I will advice you use your nigeria passport to process the permanent resident via federal skill program by going back to page one of this forum you will have access to the whole process step by step.it well explain 8 Likes |
