Just came back from the game and I must say, this was the best I ever saw Ndidi play. He was not just good in his marking but his tracking back to win balls was off-the-chain.

His passing also improved and he was very balanced in his play.

I think he is the most improved player.

wait o....is Success performing?

If he needs a fourth striker, let him kuku carry Simy that scored a brace for Crotone, at least he has more goals than Success.

There is no wisdom in dropping one impotent striker for another.

I don't think Rohr has plans for both players against the AFCON. But if I had to choose between Simmy and Success I would go for Success.

Simy over success. Simy will do well against African opposition. Simy Onuachu pairing will put confusion on our opponents defence, especially with a ball playing Onuachu

Can u feel the Rodgers effect? Andy has been the best player for Leicester since Rodgers took over the reigns and with his reputation even before Rodgers, this boy might be headed for ManU by summer, bkus to me he is the last puzzle in that United midfield. Pair him (as the destroyer) with Pogba as the CM, then watch ManU reclaiming their rightful place at the summit.

BTW, Leicester, a tale of two Nigerians. While one is assimilating the said knowledge from Rodgers, and showing it, the other is wasting away on the bench.

I disagree with your last comment. We can not say Nacho is wasting away because he is part of the team. At the end, Rodgers has his first eleven but it does not mean the others are not assimilating the knowledge Rodgers is passing to the team.

I think the whole team is performing better, not just Ndidi. Are you seeing Wes Morgan playing like a ball playing defender? Not seen him in that light but it is working under Rodgers.

Rodgers has said Vardy is his top pick and he is playing Nacho as a center forward. Meaning Nacho will get his chance when Vardy is not available or when Nacho gets ahead of Vardy in performance. Meaning Nacho needs to keep working hard in training to get ahead. I am very okay with that.

Not true at all. I have always hammered that Ndidi has the ability of playing with more bravery and confidence. Conservative systems prevented us from seeing Ndidi in the light we saw yesterday.

What we saw was a result of training and playing in an offensive pattern. Sorry, that is not Rohr’s pattern.

Despite his height, this boy clearly looks his official age. Facially sef, he looks younger than 24, this makes me wonder if he was born abroad abi him no follow suffer the Naija harsh weather that makes most of our players look older than their ages?

Well, I just hope he uses his opportunity when he is presented with it. I dont see Vardy letting up anytime soon though.

Yes their performance has improved buh Ndidi has been the best. He was the reason they defeated Burnley even with Burnley's numerical advantage early in the game. The less said about their game yesterday, the better

Jamil and Shehu are not SE quality. Both have no business in the team. I would rather Ola Aina manned that LB/LWB. As poor as Idowu was and will ever be, to me, he aint worse than Jamil. That LB remains a cog in our wheel.

Steve Bruce echoes Stoke City fans as he purrs over Peter Etebo

It was what Steve Bruce said as he was leaving his press conference that was probably most telling.

“Where did Stoke find Peter Etebo?” he asked reporters.

“Feirense in Portugal, eh?” he added, with a little whistle of admiration after being told about last summer’s £6.3m signing.

Etebo produced a star turn in the middle of the Stoke City midfield next to Joe Allen as he continued his run of impressive and energetic performances under Nathan Jones.

It’s a midfield which has helped keep five clean sheets in a row… but can’t help break down the door at the other end. It’s four games without a goal in the right end too.

But Wednesday had arrived at the bet365 Stadium as one of the Championship’s most in-form teams and, although injury-plagued, were held largely at arm’s length.

“We are playing a bit makeshift at the minute, truth be known,” said Bruce.

“It’s not the way I wanted to play Hooper in particular, then we have got Winnall and Forestieri has had his problems and with Fletcher not being fit.

“You come here and they have got good players, to be fair to them, very good players for this division and so considering the problems we had, we haven’t played anywhere near where we have been able to.

“Like I said a lot of them have been away, a lot of them are carrying a few knocks and bits and pieces so it’s a point on the road even though it’s probably not what we wanted.”

Anthony Ujah was at the Confed cup, and killed his career. The rest of the players you called are not out and out strikers so I wonder how they got into the conversation.

Now let's talk about Eneramo and Ideye. Please show me their stats for that year

He mentioned four strikers for the Afcon

So if Iheanacho is not performing Success will take his place

He said he was considering four strikers for d AFCON. The most he will pick is 3 ..

Ighalo is the only one whose spot is 100% guaranteed... because Onuachu scored against Egypt doesn't mean he has gotten a ticket there. anything can still happen...

@ ur last paragraph .Don't hope too much...Brendan Rodgers will splash the cash on a new striker in the summer..I can guarantee u that...

The clock is ticking for Iheanacho. maybe you won't believe it until it comes...

Onuachu is not tested yet....He should leave that Danish league to join a stronger league in the summer...but i think he should go to AFCON as part of that testing[testing the microphone]. We cannot rely on him based on one match...otherwise we may see ourselves in a ditch last time it happened... Ogbeche came here to bamboozle us with a bycleta...we took him to the world cup and rest as they say....

We have been here before....
