Good day house.

I will like you to please help me compare and advise on which is better in terms of maintenance, affordability of spare parts and durability.

KIA SPORTAGE 2008
HYUNDAI TUCSON 2008
JEEP PATRIOT 2008

They all carry 2.0L engine size. The reasons I am considering these vehicles are good ground clearance, low fuel consumption, and I also want something that will be easy to maintain because I will using it as an everyday ride and also some interstate journey.

Thanks in anticipation.

kia sportage
Hyundai Tucson

I don't know much about the jeep patriot. it is more of a hybrid car to me, VW engine, Hyundai gear and some Mitsubishi gear.

The sportage is a solid more popular vehicle, the Tucson is too but majorly I see it with the V6 engine.

The patriot has a poor follower and bad resale value. If you can keep it in mint condition for a long time it could be a classic for your children and grand children they will reap the benefit then

There's no 2007 C300. 2007 was the W203 - C280.

The C300 is a decent car. More expensive than it should be, especially on the Nigerian market. High demand due to "Benz or nothing". Pretty slow too. Not the most reliable. Interior quality is pretty bad for a Mercedes. It's a good cruiser, though, and you do get the prestige of the Mercedes badge.

With that 4m budget, why not look at a 2009 Acura TL with SH-AWD or a 2010 Infiniti G37? Both cars will run circles around the C300 and have comparable if not better interiors. They'll also be a lot more reliable.

An IS350 is also a good option.

There are several cars in that category which utilize 2L\100km of fuel.

The easiest you can lay your hands on is toyota prius

There's more to economy than engine displacement. VTEC, for example, is better for economy than Toyota's VVTi.

Best option. Not very popular, though, and I'm not keen on hybrids.

Speed: That M113 on the M500 is solid and you'll enjoy it more at high speeds. Nothing beats a V8. That said, it's the still the heaviest car of the three, so you must factor that in. The MDX is also a 300 HP beast. GLK is last.

Fuel consumption: GLK has the best. MDX is a guzzler since it requires premium, and the M500 is a big V8.

Maintenance: I'd go with the MDX. It's a Honda. The M500's engine is probably the most solid, though. Should be the cheapest to purchase too. The GLK's wheel sensors always die out, going by what I've heard.

Handling: SH-AWD is a beast. Acura was using torque vectoring way before the competition and it shows. Definitely the MDX. GLK is next after that, and probably very close. The M500 is the worst of the lot.

Infotainment: Depends on personal preference, tbh. You'll have to do your own research, but it's a fight between the MDX and the GLK. I haven't really taken time to appraise that MDX gen sound system but I can assure you that the GLK is a banger. Great sound system. The first-gen MDX Bose is a bit lacking in bass, not sure if it carried over into the second gen. If it's ELS, it should be fine.
