user4321: You never know those people... If I talk now.. It will seem that I want to run down their business but we have to still say it for others to learn... I had to make one wrong comment on one of their post on twitter before they agree to release my VDF last week after two weeks ooo.. Then all I got as interest for on $1,000 for over 8 months of that investment was $1.8.... 3 Likes |

FBN really needs to step up their game as regards their system...... I transferred 50k to my FBN MMF since 27th march and its yet to reflect in my account. I was like how about my interest since the day i made payment will it be added once the payment reflects she said she wasn't sure that she will get back to me soon. |

I opened 3 mmf accounts recently; United capital, Axa mansard and Investment one. To me United capital is the best so far of the three, followed closely by Axa mansard. Im still thinking seriously about Investment one. I so much love United capital though, their customer service, ease of funding account and daily interest. I also plan to open with FBN and Stanbic soon |

eddyakinrinde: What is your average daily yield on these accounts for the month of March? |
Re: Mutual Funds by eddyakinrinde(m): 9:51pm On Mar 29, 2019 |
234ng44uk: Ok I only spread about 2.5m across the three funds, 1.8m on united capital, Axa 250k and Investment one 200k plus too. I have my reasons for putting much in United capital. I decided to move around 2.5m from my matured tbill to Mmf so as to diversify a bit. On the question, united capital use to post average between 730 and 750naira daily. Axa between 80 and 100naira daily, same with investment one. 1 Like 1 Share |

Desanta:If their redemption process is easy, i won't mind opening an account with them. |
Re: Mutual Funds by GonFreecss1: 8:03am On Mar 30, 2019 |
234ng44uk: I actually still maintain this position. I did the average of money market fund rates over the years till date, and Stanbic MMF was the clear winner. This is because they had over 17% in annual Money market rates 2 years in a row (2016 and 2017). Followed closely by FBN quest. United Capital too is quite cool. Their redemption is also fast too. Also there was once an argument about Stanbic MMF vs GIF, the verdict was GIF right?, we were all wrong! Stanbic MMF has beaten GIF over time, even FBN MMF beat Stanbic GIF over time. Though if you begin to calculate from 2016, it will seem GIF is better, all you have to do is look at years back, there were some years GIF had rates as low as 4%! So those doing GIF should know this and be careful. Also, there was a year United Capital Bond fund did 28% (2017). I have used and researched many Mutual funds and MMF, Stanbic, FBN quest and United Capital though have their cons are one of the best out there. United Capital is so good, you can monitor all your investments in one account, from money market, to euro bond fund, even the stock market (equity), you can even create a will too. FBN quest has technological issues but their charges are one of the lowest out there. Stanbic is well Stanbic. A class on their own, best MMF so far hands down, in terms of average annual rate. I will still do my research and all and update you all, but this is it for now. But best MMF annual rate over time is Stanbic, followed closely by FBN quest, this year will determine if FBN will unseat Stanbic though (I think they actually might as rates seen so far this year). 1 Like 1 Share |

It's compounded I guess, as the accrued interest is added to your principal to yield more interest. |

Good evening house, please has anyone had to wait for 48 hours or more after initiating additional subscription on stanbic mmf before the transaction value hits their account? I did on friday before the 12 noon cut of time and I'm yet to get value for that transaction as I write. I also observed that the accrued interest over the weekend (Sat and Sun) was not added to my balance on monday as against the usual practice. Anyone with such experience should please drop a word or two. Thanks. |
Re: Mutual Funds by kendsage(m): 4:18am On Apr 02, 2019 |
I clear observation of MMF rates of Stabic, Investment one, ARM and Axa shows that FBN had higher rates this quarter (from January to March 2019) averaging above 14%. I have not really monitored United capital but will do so this 2nd quarter. |
