LazyGold:u dey think at all? Hold the leaders for not building a port in the as/se? Or what re u saying? Approval of such comes from the FG which the SE/SS is always seen as not relevant yet they want to benefit from its resources. So tell me how will a single state government project or try to change the deeds of a President? We all know what will happen to apapa if these sea ports in SS/SE re opened. Well, I don't expect u to understand cos even if u do, u won't ever agree since its about ur region |

Alezy: Shebi Stella Oduah opened a "world-class" Airport in Enugu? Why don't you use it? Even if the open 10 ports in each state of the SE, Igbos won't use it. Besides, the state governments won't put in structures to make it work. Eg Tinapa 3 Likes |

Hotfreezer: Nigeria as a country don’t trust the Igbos. In fact the entity is scared of the Igbos. Why SS is not getting these ports is because of proximity to Igbos. But in the big plan of Nigeria’s development we need to damn these fears and trash the rubbish concurrent list versus exclusive list. These days I just say it the way it is, I have no time to massage anybody’s ego. 1 Like 1 Share |

LazyGold: Do you think a sea port in Calabar or Rivers will help relieve apapa gridlock? Yes o no? Do you think it is best for the country? Will federal government allow states to proceed with such projects? Why shouldn’t states develop the natural ports available to them if it will benefit the country in the long run? Keep thinking in the direction of GEJ, PDP, Buhari etc and watch how we all will remain underdeveloped |

LazyGold: This is good for a short term. Same as all the inland dry ports scattered all over the country. But how many sensible countries with vast sea shore and natural bays will continue to depend on one sea port and several dry ports? The country don’t trust the Igbos, otherwise why not allow costal states build ports? We know what is holding us all back but we want to keep on window dressing |

IntrovertedK: Jonathan was busy doing what he thought was most important, pacify the north and get them by his side. Igbos don’t own the SS. They have tried their best to convince Nigeria that they are different from the SE and maybe, just maybe, they will start being allowed some level of autonomy. A port in the SS will benefit the Igbos more. A rapid development of the Igbos remain a nightmare to a lot of Nigerians. |

Hotfreezer: They are talking of port, you are talking or railway. Because of the Lagos Ibadan railway, they want to build a dry port in Ibadan. However, the others existing ports in the country are non functional. Where is thy thinking sense? |

IntrovertedK: The Biafra war and perceived Igbo “Arrogance”. But it is who the Igbos are. They won’t change. If an “Igbo” carved god decides to go wayward, the community will remind her the wood out of which she was carved. That is why there can never be a Tinibu in Igboland. Funny, but if Atiku had a Yoruba VP, Igbos would have voted for him still. Most Igbos hate poverty mentality, with Passion. |

Alezy:only the SE is not relevant, don't drag d SS into this, moreover do they buy things in d SE, what do they need port for? Ask ur brothers how many Igbo's buy things from them in Yoruba land, it's always Yoruba's nd other tribes that purchase from them. So investing huge in SE won't bring fortune for the country. 1 Like |
