The only time a gaming topic gets discussed in large number here is when it is moved to the front page. Where different d!cks who don't know jack about gaming would just contribute to insult or advertise some sh!t.

The kind of people on this forum are:

Condescending pricks - 5%

Uninformed people -20%

Marketers -40%

Casuals who dgaf -20%

People who just lurk around waiting for one to post so they can criticize -3%

Normal people who just want help with some sh!t -10%

Actual passionate enlightened gamers - 2%

Good topics by people like Vasserati, hakinze00 get posted and people just view and pass like, not even a fvcking troll. This platform is like the only one I'm in that there ain't trolls it's that serious.

I posted a topic here with 1 unrelated comment for days, I posted thesame topic on another gaming forum and got more than 60 comments in 3-4 hours thats why I had to make this post.

The last time someone posted a topic asking what's wrong with Nairaland gaming section I thought dude was overacting. I now realize he wasn't.

People often diss me thinking I'm always serious but, for real I just troll most of the times make comment just full d topic.

Anyways... If it's enlightenment we seek, make we talk and if it's just lack of interest toh, that's a damn shame. Cuz, it's very discouraging. That was why I slowed down.

I'm not saying you just go and start posting but, you are gamers, explore, read stuffs, watch reviews, think about ideas, solutions, walkthroughs, write reviews yourself, post it, learn basic fundamentals for a logical argument, joke, troll, anything... Haba!

Nigerians as a whole think gaming is time wasting and for kids. Especially if you spend hours and hours on your PC or TV screen playing video games. This mentality needs to change before gamers start coming out of their shell.

I for one follow gaming news and updates with an average watch time of 3hours+ watch time on YouTube mostly on IGN YouTube channel, Streamers, game trailers (Sekiro gat me hooked btw) etc but I don't feel comfortable talking about these stuffs here because first, Nigerians are judgemental about gamers and two, no engagement like you said even if you want to discuss about gaming releated topics.

I still follow the board tho.

I get you man. I can't add much to the conversation regarding newer games. I'm fatally outdated.
I wanted to buy Forza Horizon 4, but on top of the retail price, I have to somehow buy enough data to download like 50GB. The cost implications are unsettling for me in my current state.

I try my best though, when I see a topic I contribute to.

Most times what prevent me from being a gamer is my lack of device specs needed for the game
example
I love pubg mobile(some says mobile gamers aren't gamers) that i want it streemed on youtube or twitch and other gaming platform
But i dont have the device needed for it so i play the pubg mobile lite still lag bcuz of airtel network
Even my phone can't record without lag
So that's my opinion a broke person can't be a gamer

My phone's screen right now has problem and I couldn't play BR anymore so, I just play clash royale. You're not alone. Enjoy whatever you can and forget what other d!cks say. It's not a race. Find something you enjoy within your means. And discuss it with like minds. You'd realize you don't need everybody.
