Ekong and Balogun took us from the world cup qualifiers we qualified from the toughest group with a game to play

We came to the world cup and conceded 4 goals in a group comprising Argentina and Croatia, qualified for Afcon with a game to spare conceding only 4 goals

If that doesn't command your respect I don't know what will

Ekong and balogun are good and I like them

We are super eagles and I consider us the better team in that group ,Algeria was the only hard team to me and they where crappy ,cameroun team and Zambia are farmers ,so are we supposed to fail to qualify for the World Cup while farmers qualify ?

Oga the only hard team in that group is Algeria take it or leave it

Did balogun and ekong did the whole job ?

Thanks to the midfield ,iheanacho ,victor moses also ,don't make it look like balogun and ekong did the whole job .

Guinea prevented us from going to the last Afcon maybe your definition of 'crappy team' should be revisited

That's not the point sir

We no qualify for afcon for some time no mean say as we qualify we go say na because of some particular players bros

You can't compare Zambia or Cameroon to eagles ,I don't care if they are African champions

They are a crappy team ,I only rate Algeria there .

using the rangers game is a bad example. it's like saying because real madrid were knocked out by ajax in the UCL then the dutch league is better than la liga

I disagree, l think it's very apt.

The style of play of Rangers mimicks the Championship but not as good as that more reflective of league one.

These leagues are very fast, non stop intensity and physically taxing.

It is these attributes that the top level of La Liga can contend with and overcome possibly without too much trouble.

However, the lower half of La Liga will struggle with the physicality they simply don't have the quality of technicality to overcome the physicality.

You must have watched how many EPL clubs fell to the hand of Championship clubs and even league one. That should tell you something.

I am not looking at individual clubs but style of play and ethos. Technical football vs physicality and sheer brutish physical blood and guts football mixed with speed and s bit of technicality.

If Villareal struggled to keep pace with Rangers what do you think Derby County, Middlesbrough, and Aston Villa will do to them.

Agreed without one iota of reservation.

But l would substitute the word tactically for "Technically " but it's open to debate.

use any word u like o jare.. I enjoy watching laliga games cus they are entertaining. but I don't follow d league that well..it's too predicable and d difference in class and finance of the teams are too much..

the serieA, ligue1 and Budensliga are worse...

You are now comparing two players career based on one goal grin

You forgot Ighalo had a 15 goal season spell in the EPL, what Aghahowa never came close to achieving

Aghahowa time at Wigan was worse than a waste it waa a NIGHTMARE of. CALAMITY.

Aghahowa was a far better player than Ighalo. By the time he went to Wigan, he was already finished. The age was telling.

He never played a decent club and had 14 goals in 32 appearances for Nigeria

Ighalo has played everywhere and already has 10 in 27 appearances for Nigeria

How is Aghahowa a better player?

The number of penalties would differentiate the two. The quality of goals too would show who is better. Aghahowa is more prolific but didn't last long.

Half of Ighalo's goals were penalties and the Libya games helped his ministry.

Shakhtar Donetsk as a club is better than every team Ighalo has played for.

Aghahowa was much better at his prime. Towards the end, he was finished.

100% agree with that, exactly

I usually agree with tbaba but I gotta differ with him on this one. Apples to apples, the 1994 team is better than the 1998 team. Don't get me wrong, the 1998 team was loaded with talent but they were missing some critical pieces, like in the goalkeeping department, and some important players were carrying injuries as well (Amuneke, Kanu, etc). The 1994 team was the most balanced Super Eagles team in recent memory. Unfortunately, inexperience cost them against Italy.

O pari

Like tbaba said - the defence of 94 is a bit overrated. Team of 94 lacked depth and the pool of talent to pick from wasn't as big as 98.
I think team of 98 had more creativity as well.

Villarreal will not beat Fulham.

And certainly Derby County, Middlesbrough and Swansea will finish them off.

A team that struggled against Glasgow Rangers.

You are dreaming wake up.

Seria B is on the level of English League one.
Villarreal will most definitely beat Fulham.

Fulham is one of the softest epl teams I've ever seen. Their defense is shit. Villarreal is in a false position. They have Fornals, Santi, Iborra, Soriano, Trigueros, Ekambi, etc all good players who will be picked off if they get relegated.
