It Will Be Hard For An Igbo Man To Be Nigeria President by nigeriagospel(m): 10:39am On Apr 04, 2019 |
Am from the south south region of the country , the structure of Nigeria politics will never make an Igbo man ascend the throne of president in Nigeria. I believe in the saying nothing is impossible to achieve, but before an Igbo man could occupy that throne, the mindset of an average Northerner about the Igbo must be changed firstly. The northerners with the belief they are born to rule frown at non Muslim not to talk of an Igbo they see as an infidel rule over them. Take it or leave it , they see the East as a conquer Territory , how do you feel when you win a fight with a fellow kid? You them as powerless and as someone that must bow to your wish, same way the north views the Igbo. Nature has a role to play I'm this too, Even if election are to be conducted free and fair northerners with their population will beat an Igbo man hands down not even talking about child voting that is norm amongst them. |

nigeriagospel: Most Igbos are not too bothered about the presidency of Nigeria, they know that there are other things that are far more important than that such as restructuring and self determination Igbos have also watch for the last 50 years and seen that the office of the president has not helped those who who have held in the past, that much. The only Igbos who talk about Igbo presidency are the greedy politicians amongst them who want to get it such as Okorocha. The mind of the Igbo man is business-like, the vast majority of Igbos don't care about presidency any more, it is not what will put food on the table 46 Likes 6 Shares |

We shall put that to test when an Igboman picks the Presidential ticket of any of the mainstream parties. You guys shouted that Igbo blood in any ballot is dead on arrival yet just 9 years after the war, Shehu Shagari used it to win the presidency twice. Few weeks ago, Atiku used it to clear the nation until the vultures rigged him out and on 2 occasions, Buhari used it to clear the North. OUK used an unknown party to came third in the first presidential election he contested for even though he lost in the SE woefully. What many of you alarmists have always failed to mention is that politically, North-East have been political allies since pre-independence and outside politics, no other region can boast of a robust working relationship with the North more than the East or with the East, more than the North. Don't worry about us. 18 Likes |

An igboman presiding over the country would be to the immense benefit of nigeria. But if we all decide to keep rolling back the hands of the country,so be it. The average igboman will definitely be very comfortable come rain or shine. We survived a 3year holocaust,..our survival and prosperity skills have been honed to perfection. I always try to hide my bemusement anytime people say it to spite me that igbos cannever rule. .. Who rule help if i may ask ? And yet those that have been ruling litter the gates of my cathedral, waiting for my kind gestures in order not to starve to death. 11 Likes 1 Share |

nigeriagospel: I bet to disagree with your assertion. I believe in this life, nothing is impossible. Nothing ventured, nothing earned. I believe an Igbo man can be become the president of this country if the igbo put their heads together. One strength that igbo and the South south have is that you go in the same direction all the time when it comes to deciding who becomes your leader. Your voting pattern is almost always predictable. You vote massively for PDP both for presidency and Governorship election. That is your strength. You can use this strength to your advantage. Negotiate and lobby the PDP to produce a candidate from your zone in the 2023 election and vote en-mass for him. Find a good, generally acceptable, accomplished, honest candidate and support him massively. Furthermore, negotiate with other zone especially the South West PDP and even APC. Southwesterners would vote for a candidate they feel is credible and a man of great performance. Tinubu and the likes will not take this but from time immemorial, voting pattern of South westerners are not known to be one-sided. They usually vote based on issues and performance than party affiliations or loyalty to a political figure. Remember, Obasanjo lost gallantly his presidential election in SW his home. Who say, Tinubu or Osinbanjo or whoever SW produce come 2023 will win SW. Then the north is where you have work to do. APC will likely produce a South Westerner as presidential candidate come 2023. You have 75 percent SS, 90 percent SE, SW split between APC and PDP as usual, PDP has made inroads into North, seeing by the strict competition to get the gubernatorial ticket. The deciding factor Buhari who command staunch follower is no longer in the race. North voted massively for him because they see him as a honest and sincere man. Buhari is out of the picture, so the coast is clear. Finally, without strategic planning and having no united front, you will lose PDP to Northern candidate come 2023. Igbo can produce Presidential candidate if they get their acts right. There is so far no serious negotiation going on in producing a common front for a Igbo presidential candidate under PDP that I know of now, except for the barrage of hatred, insults, character assassination and denigration of certain SW individual and the generality of Yoruba population by the igbo. This will not get you the presidency. Your hatred to the Yoruba and Hausa online as well is not helping. Who knows an igbo presidency will change the economic fortune of this country up north like Trump has been doing. For me, I am a Yoruba and I honestly do not give a damn who becomes president, so long the individual have a Trumplike magic wand in the economic development and such a person is able to tactically deal ruthlessly with saboteurs, corrupt Nigerians across board. 10 Likes 1 Share |

ChristianNorth: Which election did Shehu Shagari win fair and square? Is it the highly debatable 1979 election or the highly rigged 1983 election? You wrote that Atiku was rigged out. In other words, he won because he used Igbo blood? Supposing Atiku won, you would think it was because he used Igbo blood? Smh. This is nothing but delusion of grandeur. 3 Likes |

ChristianNorth: Sorry, son. You are the fool here. You passed off the 1979 election which should have been inconclusive as clean. You even pass off the highly criticized 1983 election as clean. But you were just as quick in finding fault with the 2019 elections which have been largely declared as fair by a motley of observers. And the most foolish aspect of your rather senile conclusion was the Igbo blood nonsense. 2 Likes |

nigeriagospel: Thé bolded has exposed you.. You belong to tribe that breaks graves. If you had spent time in the North, you would have known that notherners don't know who is from SE or SS. Go and check the name they gave Jonathan when he was in power.. You are not from where you claim you are from because the some SS where Jonathan came from Fought along side with Igbos till the end of the war . You should be more worried when Yoruba Muslim will produce the vice president of Nigeria.. (Let's not discuss about Yoruba Muslim presidency).. Don't tell me that Yoruba is Yoruba. Obasanjo a Yoruba Christian presidency was given to afonjas on a plater of gold because the two main political parties then decided to zone it to SW because of June 12 1993 crisis. Have you asked yourself why Obasanjo was rejected by afonjas that's why he showed you guys paper. ? Ask Tinibu.. In fact, Obasanjo killed one of your own Bola Ige, that will tell how useless you are politically and otherwise. You guys won't smell that position again. Even 2015 and 2019 election outcome was not determined by Yoruba Afonjas are throwing owambe because they never imagined that a party they supported will smell the center since the creation of Nigeria. You know when a child learn how to dance, he would like to show off because he never imagined that one day he will be on stage showing the world his @$$. Come 2023, you will go back to your normal position. It's not a threat, it's a promise.. May God keep everbody alive .. 5 Likes 1 Share

ChristianNorth: You remain obsessed with this concept of SW not gaining the Presidency in 2023 yet you don't know how much of a vengeful loser this makes you appear. Your whole outlook is now pathetically about 'anyone but the SW'. Look, Yoruba candidacy in 2023 will be from a cadre of intelligent and proven performers capable of taking Nigeria to the next level like Osinbajo, Fashola et al. We don't have any Obasanjo-type 'business-as-usual' candidates who will regress Nigeria in the ruling Party i.e APC. Nigerians, including the North, will key into this concept - especially if APC do well in the next four years. We Yorubas are far more politically sophisticated than you and we know how to build bridges/alliance and work patiently and doggedly for what we want. We look at permutations also and plan for outcomes such as the APC being popular and well-supported going into the 2023 race because of leadership efficacy and national development. You, on the other hand, are short-sighted and not relevant so keep focusing on your myopic anti-SW vendetta. You won't even see it coming when we pull it off because you are so simple-minded you think stopping the SW is only about aligning behind a 2023 Northern PDP candidate if indeed the Party even nominates a Northerner. You are not smart enough to know the likes of Shetimma don't speak for the whole North. Otherwise the cabal would never have been defeated and GEJ would not have become President let alone go on to win a general election against Northerners like PMB himself and Ribadu. You call them "born to rule' but many influential individuals from the North are honourable and visionary enough to be aware of balances which keeps life peaceful and workable today, tomorrow and for a long time after we are all gone. This was why GEJ won in 2011. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Igbos don't have problem with the north, our problems are with the yolobas, many of us have each parent from either the north or the east. Ike nwachukwu mother is from katsina state while his father is from abia, myself my mother is from Niger state while my father is from east. Further more, many of our people made it in the north hence we don't have any issue with the north. Fulani no be among oooo. Igbo man must and will rule Nigeria again and nobody will do anything about it. 3 Likes |
