When France took a teenager to the world cup ahead of already established players who raised brows? Because they have seen the potential of Mbappe and guess what the teenagers contribution helped France become world champions.
We should be playing players based on current form not based on what they have done. Rsshford today starts ahead of Callum Wilson.
To me oo Chukwueze will be our joker going to the AFCON any player who isn't in form should be dropped. Dude play both as RWB and a RW with a left foot. Very scarce entity with Messi and Robben with a better left foot.
My humble opinion

Now let's look at our wings options : Musa, Kalu, Onyekuru, Simon, Iwobi(if Mikel returns) and Chukwueze. Rohr took only 3 wingers to the WC and is likely to take up to 4 to the AFCON. Let's say Iwobi is included as a Midfielder and u are left with the other 5 wingers, who will you drop?

We don't need Onyekuru and Kalu for Sudan

If Imama can't beat Sudan with the squad he has, he might as well quit the competition

Nops, Football is not like that. That was what we said ahead of the Libya clash only for us to find out it ought not to be treated with kids gloves.

If Onyekuru and Kalu are available, after all it would have been end of season, why not use them?

there's a small window of him joining the U-20s the la liga season will finish days before the commencement of the world cup but i think he will be more useful with the U-23 dream team.

as for AFCON i will just trust rohr's judgment on if chukwueze should go. let's however take it easy with putting to much expectations on the lad remember this is his first full season of top flight league football

Ah! If that be the case, he should join the U-20 world cup team. The dream team has more players in that category.

Who should Rohr drop for him on the RW?

If Imama still needs the two to beat Sudan while having Dennis and David Okereke I question his ability

Its not like Sudan are better than Libya and this will be his third game in charge

Samu offers something that simply does not exist in the super eagles right now. Natural left footed attacking players offer something different.

When Onyekuru, Musa and Kalu trouble the Barca defence in a competitive game, we can talk about upgrade. Those players are not obviously better.

hmmm tough call but who says anyone has to be dropped? rohr could easily go with ighalo, onuachu, osimhen/iheanacho, musa, simon, onyekuru, kalu, chukwueze (iwobi listed as a midfielder) that's 8 strikers good to go

i disagree chukwueze looks an upgrade on some of this underlisted players in some aspects

he's a better dribbler than onyekuru, a bit faster only thing henry has over him is an eye for goals which samuel is steadily improving on

better dribbler than musa but not yet as prolific as alhaji musa in terms of goals.

at per if not better than kalu in terms of dribbles, more direct and business minded than kalu, looks to have better goal sense than him too. only thing kalu surpasses chukwueze in is crosses

Haba Rohr may not use wingers if he plays 3-5-2 at the Afcon, besides his position is what we have in abundance the SE

Instead of sitting on the bench at Afcon he should do us proud at the U20 world cup

U20 is for young professionals...Messi was already signed and playing for Barcelona yet beat us in the final....Chukwueze is playing for a smaller club compared to Barcelona...ARGENTINA s Correa,Aguero,Columbia s Rodriguez,Quintero, etc were already first team players sef yet played in u20...

We need to win this u20 willy nilly...

Chukwueze is not the first to be shifted like that...i remember Kanu Nwankwo...after 1993 u17 triumph..Westerhof invited him to Super Eagles...then he went sent to u20...at a time Ajax blocked him from going to Mauritius 93...i think so..another player sent to u20 was Celestine Babayaro but Anderlect blocked him..If Samu can help us win the cup...why not? It is not an insult...look at the current german u20...they are all first team players in their Bundesliga clubs...playing for two to three season now while Samu just started playing la Liga this season...Samu has just played one friendly match for us..not even competitive game...HE MUST WIN U20 FOR US BEFORE WE CAN CALL HIM GREAT...

Maradona played u20
Messi played u20
Raul played u20
Mbappe played u20
why not Samu?
Even Rodriguez of Columbia played u20...

The question here is did these guys play in the U-20 World Cup at the expense of missing out on the COPA America or the Euros?

I won't drop let them compete for the spot, that's the reason they go into camping. Whoever is deserved of the spot let him take to AFCON. That he should be dropped because he's young and new holds no merit.
Anthony Martial, Nabil Fekir, Valbuena were all dropped for Mbappe. Show your mettle and let he that wants it more have it.

Add 8 to the 3 goalkeepers and you will get 11. How do you pick the remaining 12 players?

Unfortunately the U20 WC would have commenced before SE camping begins.

So it is a decision that Rohr and Aigbogun have to make without any SE camping.

They would not want Rohr to drop Onyekuru either. Ask them which winger Rohr should drop between Kalu,Musa, Onyekuru and Simon grin
From the 5 wingers in that team Chukwueze is the least likely to make the AFCON
Good enough arrangements are already being made for him to join the Flying Eagles.

Most of his assists were at the beginning of the season

Rohr does not rate Chukwueze better than his current wingers

He going to U20 world cup

Seems Rohr has already made up his mind on his team to the AFCON.

Chukwueze should even feel happier at the U20 WC. An easier team for him to break in, easier opponents to face, better avenue to display his abilities, more viewership all over the world and he can only have this opportunity to play the WYC. But he has so many AFCONs ahead of him by God's grace.

Ozornwafor and Chukwueze(likely) will not be part of the U23 game against Sudan because they would be at the WYC. Awaziem definitely has to play both legs and at least one of Kalu and Onyekuru could replace Chukwueze.
