masterchi: Call back Goatluck Jonaddaft to build sea ports in each local governmwnt of SS and SE with the billions in his wife's accounts. Politics is investment, you invest 5% votes and reap 5% infrastructure, SW invested 60% votes and is getting 60% infrastructure. 4 Likes |

masterchi: LASG is developing the other 2 ports in Lagos in conjunction with the private sector just giving NAP statutory share holding. Should Lagos state be held responsible for SS and SE Governor ineptitude or visionlessness? or should Lagos stop advancing because your Governors are daft and stupid? Mr man I beg shift 3 Likes |

masterchi:Please take time to read the article well. Theres a part that states the water channels of the niger delta is too narrow to accommodate most of this vessels. When the cost of dredging the waterways in Warri is in millions of dollars and you havent factored the cost of the sea port itself, dont u think it will be cost effective to build in another location where it will cost less? Lets stop putting sentiments and tribalism into every issue. 4 Likes |

Good if port Harcourt one sea port is too narrow and can't accommodate large vessels, forcing shippers to use The congested Lagos port, why not fast track the expansion or dredging process while you guys are still considering ibom sea port.. lol. 1 Like |

olas24u: The government had in the past year, invested in developing the eastern ports of Warri, Calabar, Onne and Port Harcourt, whose river channels are too narrow to accommodate large vessels, forcing shipping companies to take their vessels to Lagos Lies. During colonial times these seaports were working. Infact as of year 2000 the one in Port Harcourt was still working in full capacity. I know when OBJ shut that one down. 1 Like |

olas24u: You dont know what you're talking about. You can clearly see both projects listed in ICRC concessions. FG owns 20%, State owns 20%, other 60% to private sector. 28 January 2018, Sweetcrude, Lagos — The Lagos State Government has increased its equity share in the Lekki deep seaport project from 18 to 20 twenty percent. 13 February 2018, Sweetcrude, Lagos — The Nigerian Ports Authority, NPA has paid twenty percent, 20% of its equity share, representing $23million of its $110.9million investment in the on-going Lekki Deep seaport project. 1 Like

OmoEpe: How can the EAST do it without approval from the Center. Do you know how many times they have tried? Maybe you are too young to understand the political consequences of having those seaports in the east... Do you think the Hausa fulani elite would ever allow that? |

Ondo state has the highest Ocean Routes in the whole of west Africa, yet there's no a single seaport in the State. For the federal Government to site the right project at the right location, is either it is influenced by a reputable politician from the ruling party or the president is from that region. it's a pity everything is being politicised in this our country. it's time to give Autonomy to the State 1 Like |
