Most top positions in RCCG are usually headed by the yorubas. Why is this so?/

cause the church is attended by predominantly Yoruba people. Or do you see people complaining about how there are no Yoruba leaders in Catholic churches

Forget about branches.. How many branches sef are headed by other tribes which are not Yoruba's. What I'm talking if here is the top positions in RCCG like assistant general overseers, PA s, national overseers etc. You get what I mean.

The reason is basically because the foundation members are mostly yoruba by tribe. All the names you see in that website are names of people that have been members of the church when the church was unpopular and only have few members. Just the same way we should not expect to see many yorubas occupying top positions in churches founded by Pastor Oritsajafor, Pastor Mike Okonko, Pastor Ntia Ntia etc. Not because they are tribalistic but rather because the foundation members are mostly people from other tribes and not the yorubas. And it is those foundation members that will rise to occupy many of the top posts as the church grows.

You cant dispute the fact that there are few Yoruba Reverend fathers in d Catholic Church. Probably because majority of Catholics in Nigeria are Igbo. Also in Christ embassy the members of the central executive council are all from Edo state like pastor Chris oyakhilome, because they were foundational members & have been in the ministry longer working with him.
Only a twisted person will start bringing tribe into d matter.

My parish in pH is headed by an IBO man, assisted by an akwa ibom man, the area pastor is a hot Igbo man, the provincial pastor is Rivers, the regional pastor is Rivers and always travel abroad with Adeboye.

lol we both know that's not true .If you go to most Catholic Churches in Lagos, they are dominated by the Igbos. Does that mean that Catholic Church is Igbo Church? Of course, No. The fact is that most Yorubas have left the Orthodox Churches for the Pentecotal Churches that is why RCCG, Four Square, MFM, Winners and the likes appear to look like Yoruba Churches.
I once went to a Catholic Church in yaba, I could hardly see any Yoruba family in that Church. I also went to another Catholic Church in another area and still the same, the Yorubas could as well be complaining of being marginalized in the church by the Igbos.
As already outlined by other Nairalanders, in RCCG the training path is known and open to all members

Statistical evidence shows that RCCG is mostly dominated by Yoruba which contributes to their heading of regions, zones, parishes and areas. This is not only peculiar to RCCG but other churches too.
The Lord's Chosen is mostly dominated by Igbos. Deeper Life Bible church is mostly dominated by introverts/ socially isolated people. White garment churches such as Celestial and Cherubim & Seraphim are dominated by Yorubas. (In fact, it takes miracle to se an Igbo person attending a white garment church.
I don't think it has anything whatsoever to do with tribalism.

Statistical evidence shows that RCCG is mostly dominated by Yoruba which contributes to their heading of regions, zones, parishes and areas. This is not only peculiar to RCCG but other churches too.
The Lord's Chosen is mostly dominated by Igbos. Deeper Life Bible church is mostly dominated by introverts/ socially isolated people. White garment churches such as Celestial and Cherubim & Seraphim are dominated by Yorubas. (In fact, it takes miracle to se an Igbo person attending a white garment church.
I don't think it has anything whatsoever to do with tribalism.

I get that the church may dominated by Yorubas more than any other, but what's funny is Pastor Adeboye's recent fatwa on "whoever introduces tribalism to RCCG....", which is confusing because their list of leaders shows that tribalism has already been introduced to the church.

To STOP all these, simply avoid such churches or Gatherings just like you avoid PLAGUES.
Mind you, no God will ever punish you for such.
In fact, GOD does not dwell in Churches or Temples.
