- where will you stay? Hotel or friends, family? If it's hotel 3 weeks stay is 2-3K approx + food, transportation, your 5K is not enough for 3 weeks stay?
- do you have family, friends in USA? Which city, state are you going and what kind of tourism, what are you going to see in the states?
I will stay in hotel, I don't have anybody in the US, I book hotel in Texas, I'm going on vacation, please give some tourist areas in Texas, thanks

Good Day House,

Finally we were able to get a date for late April for our 221G interview. Was quite surprised as someone actually called me to go check the dates. We didn't have to wait long before we got our date whereas others have intervals of 5-6months. From what I see, it seems the whole 221G has various levels from where they place different applicants depending on their situation from light weight to serious cases. And they allow different profiles to have access to varying dates. That said I cud be wrong.

In your estimation, which cases are allowed to have earlier dates? I tend to agree with you because once I got the e-mail, I was able to get a date which was about 20 days away. Our cases are too similar. Had a baby (although she came very early) stayed for 5 months plus. Got another visa but didn't use it in the 2 yrs. Went to Europe a couple of times instead. Reapplied now and got a 221G. When I travelled after having my baby on the same visa as I used to birth, I was asked for receipts at the point of entry which I supplied. The 221 form did not specify documents to bring so I will carry everything I can lay my hands on. I didn't get a zero balance because I did not know it existed. I just got the itemized bills and a receipt,.
I am following your story although my interview comes up before yours.

Which city? If you don't have anybody in US, it's good for tourist visa, the embassy assumes you don't have anybody to help you staying illegal.
The embassy will also ask why Texas? Tickets are cheaper going to east coast. Hotels are expensive, check prices and book on airbnb.com, rent a room in a private home, it's safe and usually very nice, also the owner can guide you, even pick you up from the airport and give you rides somewhere. Check online tourists attractions in the city you are going, ask airbnb renter if he/she can help to show you places.

why don't you both meet in a neutral country that will be easy for both you and her to get visa?
I suggest Kenya

She could buy her ticket, you buy yours and you meet in Nairobi ), and you bankroll the encounter and take a lot of pics.

Those pics will help you later on, if she files Fiance visa for you.

apart from that, your chances don't look good

Work that out with her sha

Go to a country where you both have easy access to without visa wahala.

And all these after just two months ?

Baba I hail o cheesy tongue
please how do I travel to Kenya?
Do I need visa?
What will it take for me to live and work there unlimited?

Thank you

Pls what should I choose from Previously Refused and Regular( Previously Refused - If you have been interviewed and/or refused within the last 6 months, please select “previously refused.” Applicants will be denied visas for false misrepresentation) as am trying to schedule my interview. I was refused a Visa in December 17, 2018. It's not up to 6months.

Please, I was denied in 2016, and I want to re-apply this month, should I choose previously refused ? Can I change some of my information ? I don't know if they will still have my information on their system through Biometrics. Please I really need your advice because I have changed my job and I made some mistakes on my school starts and ends dates on my 2016 ds-160 form.

Re: USA Visit Visa Part 4 by DrStrangelove: 1:31am On Apr 06, 2019
Yes o. Very very similar. My wife stayed for same number of months and travelled to Europe. Didn't use her 2 year visa also.

We also got a date after three weeks.

I think we got flagged for the 5 months and not really the non usage of visa for the 2 years validity.

The receipts and bills u have Shud do. Just have an explanation for anything they ask. I think they ll ask about the 5 months and why that long. Also they ll ask about what u do or work to gauge if u have ties here.

Once ur confident and defend ur answers, they Shud reissue u the visa.

What are ur own thoughts? Is ur interview next week?

Wish u good luck

Please I have a burning issue. When I applied for America visa with my family i was asked if my wife was pregnant to which I answred no cos she was not. We got the visa. Fast forward to a year after she is now pregnant and wants to give birth in the U.S and has not been to the U.s before should we write to the embassy to inform them of our plans or should she just go since she has a valid visa already

am not sure writing the embassy will be a problem since pregnancy came after visa. Let gurus (seyewest, hiatuses and etc) in the house assist on these.

Big burning issue it is indeed! Dare write that letter, she won’t fly with that visa. She goes to the US to birth with that visa, chances of renewal is almost slimmer than slim. Birth in Nigeria, almost undoable and painful for one with the visa and the money.

Wish she already used the visa at all this past one year or so, that could have at least spur you on easily to go birth there with mostly CBP hurdle to cross, then pay good money instead of crazily discounted payments to have a chance at renewal. But she hasn’t used the visa for the purpose it was issued, it’s not a good position to be in....

I feel the same way especially when we were only asked if she was pregnant and not if she was going to give birth in the U.S.

What is the worse that can happen if I write the letter?

Google countries that are Visa free for Nigerians but no country in the world accept staying without permission. Benin republic, Cameroon, Ghana deport Nigerians that does not have resident permit. if you want to migrate to another country, take your time study ways to do it in right way without cutting corners while you are doing this, pls enjoy naija as well. Travel to neighbouring countries and see how Nigerians are living there,

One of his siblings in the US must have filed immigrant visa for him...and yes it takes that long.

Either way, the guy was determined to wait it out and thank goodness he finally got what he wanted.

Was his father a US citizen?

It wouldn't have taken this long for him to get the immigrant visa if his father had filed for him rather than the siblings.
