On the flipside,

Payment of workers have improved, the major grind now is backlog still owed pensioners,

It is one of the baggage the next admin gonna inherit, every pensioneer and worker deserves to be paid every dime they worked for,

This is one of the Achilles heel of the incumbent,

Another thing is that we would love to see an accountable and transparent disbursement of LG funds to the respective LGs beginning with the conduct of elections,

The incoming government can lobby the federal government for assistance, as regards help from ecological funds and other world Bank assisted grants to help fix the erosive orlu drainages and other erosion sites in the state,

There is a need for harmony and synergy between the state government and federal representatives from the state, To help lobby some of this ecological projects to be brought to their constituencies, like rural feeder roads, rural electrification, drainages, water works, schools etc,

At this juncture, I think having rochas in the Senate will be highly beneficial to orlu zone,

The next admin of the state, gotta ensure that reputable trusted and tested construction firms are awarded road contracts for execution,

Good a thing ihedioha have been in administrative and elective positions, hence we imploy him to run an open government,

With proper management, the state can shoulder the debt financing.

The youths should be given a chance to partake in the governance,

Finally I wish Ihedioha nma and Imolites the very best.

Rochas started off as a good leader but I don't just know what came over him along the line.

Like how would a governor not pay salaries and pensions as and when due Does he want people to starve to death

Again, whatever made him think that Imo people will sit back and watch him impose his son in-law on them as governor??
He should have just settled for his senatorial ambition and support another APC candidate in the guber polls. By now, he would have been enjoying the support of APC in his quest to go to the senate and possibly he could have even emerged as senate president.

Some politicians just deliberately kill their political careers due to their selfishness

Medical students of Imo state university teaching hospital Orlu were tear-gassed for asking gov Okorocha to repair the road to their institution and provide necessary study equipment.

Okorocha rather built diagnosis hospitals in Owerri, instead of at the teaching hospital.
The road to the teaching hospital still remains like this more than five years after the tear gas episode.

Okorocha now wants to represent Orlu zone in the Senate.

whether you like him or not, whether you are been sarcastic about him or not he remains one of the best governors that have ever ruled the state of IMO. His physical infrastructure is visible all around the state. Owerri, Orlu and Okigwe are no longer the cities they used to be. There is currently an unprecedented budding real estate business in owerri because of his special touch in the city. Though am not from the state but am a regular visitor and investor. In fact its the only state in the east that I have my investment. He may has his shortcomings n flaws but believe me that guy is visionary

Since you are not from the state better keep quite and dont be unfortunate please...we would have been better off without a governor for those agonizing 8years.
Rubbish!!

the only thing that pains me about this man is that is his Senate seat, they should give him the seat even though I don't like him, I see him causing doom for APC in the Senate chamber, if only he has been given certificate of return, these man would have scatter the plan of that short man from edo state, he scattered his plan is plan in Imo by making APC has faction, now if steps in I see problem for APC cum 2023, then he will jump as usual, I trust him, then he will be full okoro instead of okorowuasa, lol okorocha anyway you caused your downfall, just pray that I became the inec chaiman next election I can make you win LGA chairman if you go for it lol #GT

We are looking at how owelle is leaving imo better than how he met it.
I agree, it's Rochas on the helm of affairs in Imo state, made us see Owerri as home and we invested within world bank area, at nite it looks just like Hollywood. I am from Abia state, Rochas will be elected by business persons as the best business friendly South East governor and by my opinion the best Imo governor have gotten. If that tempo do not continue we will disinvest.

I can corroborate his opinion,
Owelle got his pitfalls and imperfections, but it is a truism that apart from dee Sam mbakwe, Owelle raised the bar of development in the state more than any other, hopefully ihedioha's administration gonna build upon his legacy.

If the mods can permit, we can take a holistic look at the state under owelle.

Excuse me sir/madam, are you an IMSU student??. I really doubt you are if not, you won't be posting aerial view of the love garden and senate building.
You might be trying to justify Rocha's actions they were good intentions at the start but as they say, "power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely ".
Try interviewing a handful of IMSU students I'm sure you'll take down those pictures you posted here without anyone telling you so.

Owerri looks like Hollywood in your assessment, but Orlu is nearly non habitable, floods, dilapidated streets, no thanks to gov Okorocha who destroyed most of the govt development infrastructures in Orlu, caused mass population migration from Orlu.

Rochas Okorocha is the only leader in the world that destroyed the Economy of his people willingly.

He destroyed peoples retirement assets worked over 35 years in service without paying compensation.

People are dying, families are broken and poverty is now widespread in Imo State.

Government of Rochas Okorocha became devilish and anti people the moment he realised that his joining APC was against the wishes of most Imolites. His revange was devilish and obdurate.

Poor Ex-Governor.

Am a victim of Rocha's miscalculated policy that render it's citizens bankrupt and hopless. The only way to survive in IMO is by driving a mini bus or hawking around the town. A whole capital territory does not a standard market. Looting and thuggery has become the order of the day. Owerri indigent have swung into multiple tasking of hawkers and visitors. Douglas road has lost it's glory. I wonder how emeka ihedioha can be able to fix all these mess. For all those praising Rocha's and his agburu' what goes around always come back around. May he visit you family the way he visited IMO people;;;;;;;iseeeeeeee

This bastard posting numerous Private owned hotels, eateries, shopping malls and co as Okorocha's achievement ,,u remain a fool forever undecided so all the thing mentioned in d post isn't enough for u to wakeup and embrace reality?...even the projects Ohakim started and nearly completed like that flyover that hasn't even been in use is still Rochas achievement right?...and why getting most pics from bird view?bring ur camera closer or get d latest pics of those fake projects with substandard materials such as that ICC center and see how useless ur role model have been....what of the youths he forcefully stopped from making advances with their Keke thereby making transportation across owerri city more expensive than travelling from Mbaise to Umuahia..what of the poor masses he and Uche collected their lands forcefully?

Well with the flag in ur vehicle,I won't doubt where u are coming from..once more ur a fool

Forget all the media propaganda.

The good people of Imo state that live and work in the state know the state of affairs.

Successive bad governments in Nigeria did not prevent individual efforts to better their lots. The same goes for Imo state. What one can see in those pictures are individual efforts. Passing through Owerri, it becomes obvious that there is no government presence in that city. The whole place looked depressing. Owerri arguably has the worst road network in the SE/SS regions. What did the government contribute in Emenike's house or Dr. Okpala's Neuro center? Zilch.
Okorocha should just pack up peacefully and go. Giving out contracts to cronies to build white elephant projects is not good governance. The governor ought to be the administrator of the state.

Imo people are the ones who wear the shoe and know where it pinches which explains why they unanimously detest anything Okorocha. It is pointless trying to change the narrative when reality points to the contrary.
