It should be able to play without lag on balanced mode...not sure of hd....why not get redmi 7 for a better experience or u can add money to get a note 5/7

I don't use any. I try as much as possible to avoid storing files on my phone. If I need to, I store on my laptop. Only trivial files I store in the cloud - Google Drive or Dropbox

Cloud storage remains the best for now. Laptop and external storage can crash or get stolen like I experienced late last year. Lost over 10 years worth of academic & media files

You can use Drive for unlimited storage of pictures and videos (and it won't take out of your 15GB storage) so far you use the "High Quality" backup settings.

You can then use the 15GB storage space (gmail storage included) for other things.

PS: The "High quality" settings will automatically compress the size of pictures higher than 16MP to keep them under 16MP, you still get quality pictures notwithstanding.

U can save ur files on cloud drives (dropbox, mi cloud, 4shared, Gdrive etc). U can also use Pen drives.
