Still not cast in stone..yeah many of us have been invited for 221g but a friend did drop box recently with her hubby.she had her baby in 2017 in Dallas.Bill was approximately 11k because she had a labour scare.well they both got their Visas renewed via drop box this March.Truth is we are not sure really what these guys want or are looking for. .Maybe its the bill spent but she didnt even have the opportunity to present her bills via drop box...Its so confusing sometimes..but nothing is absolute

Let's be honest we do.

First of all, going with your husband for interview is a no no due to high denial rate
& secondly, the 6K is it for both hospital & Dr because Doctors charge about 2-3K for their services only & hospital bill is also different.
Also prepare your budget sheet & make the figures high because they likely give visas when they see you are spending alot of money.

..and factual

Good morning, please I just tried to go for my interview I booked for since October last year,? Getting there I was told my appointment was cancelled. I don’t know if anyone has experienced this or what the problem can be.

Hello, with the recent visa denials due to using “selfpay plans” most especially with hospitals in Texas, I would like to ask if these denials translate to a ban. If yes, does anybody know for how long?

To God be the glory
Had my renewal interview today and it was approved despite all my fears about not having a bill up to 10k
God came through for me
I used stroger 2015,not one single documents or question about discount was asked
Only asked what I was going for this time
I said vacation
Thanks to the forum I was “readily” ready for the interview
I posted on the USA visit thread too.i hope I am not spamming the thread

Congrats! i tapped into your miracle.

I’m currently pregnant in Lagos. I am a USA citizen but my fiancé is not. Our wedding is scheduled in December but I am due to give birth in August.. and I would like to give birth in the USA... I want him to be there.. what is the best solution for me? What documents should we bring? Will I follow him to the interview? We are not married yet, how would that work as for applying for the visa with me?
Just a little background information, i relocated to Lagos a year ago now but my mom and siblings are still based there. I also have medical insurance there already which I plan to use for my child delivery rather than paying out of pocket.
Please let me how I should go about things giving my situation. I only have 4-5 months until my delivery date. Please help!!

He should go and try normal B1/B2 visa. He should explain why he's applying for visa, he should demonstrate his ties too cos I doubt if the VO will consider anything about you or your pregnancy cos anyone can claim anything.

Ahh thank you so much.

Please do you have any Ob-gyn that is affiliated with them also?

I plan to use Holy Cross or Anne Arundel though and I have my Doctor already, just that these two hospitals don’t give you hospital fee estimates or any email correspondences at all.

Good day mama's & papa's,

Dis forum av been of help to me, been a reader since 2017. I promised myself to give feedback, am sorry I am just fulfilling it.

In d spirit of giving back here is my Visa story, POE story and return story.

LAGOS US Embassy:: B2 [October 2018]

I did my research and mailed the hospital that I want to use, got my detailed bill from account officer, corresponding and appointment date after scheduling a B2 visa interview ...Am a first time mum.

VO: why do you want to travel
Me: to have my baby
VO: you work at *****
ME: ***** as a ******
VO: you choose Illinois cos your av relatives there?
Me: yes
VO: av u travelled out of the country before
ME: no, I av not
VO: do you have a Dr there?
Me: yes, Brot out my correspondence and gave her
VO: how much is the dr fee?
ME: told her the dr and hospital fee, and brot out by budget to give her
VO: av u made any payments
Me: no, financial officer said when I come, I can pay
VO: your husband works at ***** and for how long
ME: at ****** for 4 years, although I was wrong....
VO: do u av ur statement of account here?
ME: yes, brot out investment account letter to the embassy from d bank of about 6.5m, apparently she didn't understand, she kept looking and asked if I av another one, I gave her DH payslip from January to September .
VO: okay, bring all the documents that you have,
VO: when do u intend to travel again
ME: as soon as I get my visa, cos my dr appointment is in two weeks time.
VO: gave me a 221g form and told me, they need to verify something, I will be informed of my visa if approved or not. Passport and all documents was withheld by VO.

Got home and did my research, checked my status on the Embassy site, it indicated "ADMINISTRATIVE PROCESSING" I tot that's the end, cos they wrote minimum period for that is about 3 months and am 28th weeks already.

6 days later, I got a message to pick up my passport and my documents, lo and behold it was approved...
I learnt in this thread to be truthful as much as possible, and it helped cos the embassy did thier investigations and approved the visa... God helped me.

I really don’t get you.... if those are your options then u have to chose the more obvious one...? Or u keep refreshing n hoping for a close date. This tho might be risky as u might lose both dates.
