just to emphasise that xiaomi is "doing rubbish" they've jumped from Nokia to Samsung to Huawei to even Vernee. Yet Xiaomi has been giving people joy since 2015...
Xiaomi have done a wonderful job in rendering great devices with great specifications with reasonable prices due to the materials been used for production, not minding their shortcomings the brand is really impressive but they should know their place.

umidigi phone is trash not durable ,heats like stove. charge burns after few weeks, doesn't operate well in hot temperature, equipped with useless processor. Nokia x5 beat all umidigi phones intense of speed. even f1 is useless note5 is way better than all their phones. not to talk of their worse camera battery draining and not fasting fast
Lies.

you are getting it wrong, we know xiaomi cut so many corners, they know their place, we would like for them to have more android 1 devices, more corning gorilla glass 7 phones, phones with quick charge 5 on 5000mah battery or with super amoled displays etc but they dont have, and we are not complaining. Nobody has pointed gun that you should buy xiaomi or you die, you can even Samsung galaxy fold its your choice. But like xiaomi like that. So leave em for us like that.

But most things surrounding tech are usually perceived to be associated with youth and the younger generation. I thought the elderly were supposed to be knitting and taking care of their grand kids.

Let's not forget the stand of the MI corporation which states that they only make a profit of 5percent anything higher than that they try to return it to their customers.

I haven't come across any ads on my RN7 since 1 weeks I've been using the phone. Does it have to do with the fact that I turned off personalized ads (or something like that) while setting up the phone?

nobody said you are a kid o, but to gain more respect just argue factually, provide facts to back up your arguments and share your opinions and also try to see another point of view that isn't yours.
