Guys, I'm just wondering why Lagos- a supposedly no man's land have over 95% of her street named in yoruba language for centuries now. Imagine a land dispute involving UN arbitration body, how easy will it be for another tribe to lay claim to Lagos as their territory? No man's land indeed!

I Blame Lagos State government. Yet they will say Ambode is working. Working what! If you provide the best infrastructures and bridges but no affordable housing project in the whole of Lagos, you are telling Lagosians to be squatting in the whole of Lagos.

What about the ₦2,700,000,000 per year? Surely, that must be a mistake as well!

All in all, this thread has shown that Nigeria is a God-forsaken country. Nothing more, nothing less. And the things they call flats sef, would be an eyesore ... many of them look like abandoned properties angry sad shocked

You need to understand simple economics here. What's the point building the house in Iyana Ipaja or Sango-Ota and work in VI? Is it not better to rent in Ajah and reduce the stress and potential health issues? Besides, anyone who has the money to rent in those areas (VI, Ajah etc) will ordinarily decline to reside in other interior areas of Lagos.

@Topic: When compared to the environment and infrastructure, cost of rent in Lagos nay Nigeria is overpriced. It's still the same potholed roads, generator fumes, SARSed streets etc.

Where you do live bro? I live someone in the east and I pay 135k for a self con. Houses rent is expensive here in the east, I plan to relocate.

I heard that apart from Lagos, house rent in other South west states is dirt cheap.
