Thats because you applied for COREN without NSE. If u had NSE, you would only submit technical report.

The Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) Corporate Membership Application for category (B1, B2 and C1) has been increased from 2 diets to 4 diets in a year.

Members and Prospective Members are to note the new changes as highlighted below:
Application into Category B1, B2 and C1 are now open throughout the year for period of four (4) diets.
Candidates can select any of the four diets and apply. As at now, Candidates can apply into either April 2019 (Application for April Diet closed on April 7), July 2019, October 2019 or February 2020. When April 2019 diet is closed, April 2020 Diet will be opened automatically to complete the four diets opened at a given time. The active diet will be the most recent diet.

Each diet will come with its own time table, candidates are advised to study the active diet time table so as to plan effectively.
Only applications in the active diet will be given utmost priority while applications in other diets will be treated when such diets are active.

FootNote on Membership Category
B1 - Candidates who are holders of the Bachelor's degree in Engineering whose qualifications are accredited by COREN or any overseas accreditation board recognised by COREN. Such candidates must have acquired a minimum of 4 years post-qualification experience.

B2 - Candidates who obtained HND and PGD in the same field of Engineering from approved Institution and had acquired a minimum of 6 years post-graduation experience in the practice of Engineering.

C1 - Candidates who are holders of correct and adequate basic academic qualifications by COREN Standards and Regulations who are 40 years and above. Such candidates as at the time of application must have a minimum of 10 years post-qualification experience. The candidates must appear in person.

Please what is the procedure for nse registration for Chemical Engineering graduates with over 5 years experience? How is the technical report be written? Because I observe the major coren/nse candidates are civil and elect/elect engineering graduates.

It depends on your work experience.... what is your work experience on?

Please, does anyone know if persons with online topic B.eng degrees after HND can be lincesed as graduates of conventional universities.

I work in an extrusion factory. I do production costing and management. Chemical Surface treatment of extruded metals also.

Please I need clarification here, I am planning to apply for COREN as I already have NSE. I went to COREN site and saw a form but it is written on the form that it is to be completed by my employer. Please anyone here to shed more light on steps and how to register for COREN

Yeah...there are two forms you'll need to download, complete and upload for your COREN application.

The first is Proposer Confirmation form and the second is Certificate of Experience. I presume you're referring to the Certificate of Experience form, this is the form that is to be completed by your employer/senior professional colleague that is COREN registered and up to date in his/her COREN dues....Basically just someone that can confirm your engineering experience.

NB: The person signing your Certificate of Experience form should be from same discipline with you and preferably work in the same establishment with you. He/She should also append his/her official seal on the form.

For your proposers, any registered engineer up to date with his/her COREN dues can sign for you. The official seal is not mandatory here, but he/she should sign on COREN stamps on the provided space on the form.

You probably are a student member or graduate member. You will need to register as a corporate member with NSE before you can proceed with your COREN registration.

So what do we do when we can't get someone to sign off work experience form. Proposer is easy but that work experience form might be difficult.
