Get a water treatment unit close to the well, connect your surface pump to the unit and then from the unit to your storage facility.

Truth be told I don't understand anything u said here. You were just vibrating. Bring those terms down to an understandable and simplified term lay people like me can understand.

I think he's trying to tell you that you can actually do the foundation without including the little partitionings.

I have also done this before.

However you have to be very careful to keep the dividing walls to a minimum span. That is, the distance between 2 walls should not exceed say 4 metres. The longer the span , the higher the chances of failure.

Also, you have to be careful when placing your columns and plumbing pipes in the foundation. The measurement has to be accurate

You can start laying the blocks the next day after casting the lintel. Remove the woods by the sides but don’t remove the wood under the lintel until after 21days.
Decking work can commence the next day after the block leveling.

Silent follower of this thread and learnt a lot.
Pls house I just discovered something today:went to get items for roofing wood work and had to pay omonile at the 3"communities"or rather 3 major points the truck passed before getting to my site,if not the truck would not be allowed to pass.
I know of foundation levy, roofing and fencing levy, but am experiencing this for the first time.
Also had to pay Carpenters union 5k before they would allow my roofer to work, though he came from outside Lagos.
Pls is this the norm now in Lagos or has it been like that for sometime?

Hearing this for the first time
Experienced it for the first time.
Each community you pass through, you pay for your truck or trailer to be allowed to pass.
Funny enough d distance btw one community to another may just be one not so long a road, but once it bears a different community name, you have to pay.
Had to pay through 3 different communities, total distance from d 1st to third about 2km!Each community being a stretch of just about 1km from 1st to 2nd and another 1km from 2nd to 3rd!!
If not that my site diverts into d third, would have had to pay d 4th community!!!
No wonder some people cannot withstand d stress and financial burden of building their own homes.
A new one I found out is that if you are bringing someone outside Lagos for a work,in this case woodwork, you av to pay the roofers/carpenters union 5k.
It's a wa!!!!

Was a shocking experience.
Maybe because I moulded my blocks and bought some from a block around d site area during the block construction stages, that's why I didn't experience it initially.
It's well.

Ok.
By the way was just reading the first 2pages of your thread on the 4BR stuff when I decided to check my mentions, only to find out one of them is the construction guru himself.
Interesting thread because hoping to one day start something like that, probably next yr,God and resources providing.
Going through that thread from start to latest update and following it closely.

Gurus in the house, I have a question that has been bugging my mind for a while now.
Sirs/mas, if I'm going to do a DPC ( pour concrete on a DPM), why then should I bother myself with all the partitions during the excavation of the foundation? Why not just get the external diameter, and make some partitions and leave the rest? For instance, instead of digging toilet, ante room, parlour dining, kitchen, store, all the rooms, etc. Why not just a selected few out of all those and then, do the full partitioning after the DPC has been done. I hope I'm understood. Thanks.

That's quite thoughtful of you but good a thing construction is practical; so it won't work if is not correct, sooner or later the result will call.

*Point: Because the kind of foundation you are talking about is a component of shallow foundation; it may not work its called strip foundation or wall footing.

We are talking about strip foundation here you can't just make a wall round in the shape of the house you desire without those internal walls ( brace stud walls)

The importance of the internal walls:

1 It strengthens the foundation from internal burst or collapse depending the height of the foundation.
2 It resists earth movement (depending the type of earth movement)
3 it steadys the soil from further settlement
4 it assit transferring load of the building to the footing
5. It prevents dpc from sinking or foundation cracking
6. It supports the columns
7. Etc

Note: Because this wall is a load bearing blocks ( LBB) you must introduce some quality blocks for this purpose.

The more the walls the better the foundation strength. (Few or many of the foundation walls are not advanced except it's professionally introduced.

Thanks

If you use a covered truck, you will be able to avoid some places. Covered trucks are more expensive but that's what I use.
