naijapips04:Not in defense of whoever but it is known to every Tom, Dvck, and Harry that the Nigerian constitution is riddled with ambiguity. It is 10 different lawyers could give diverse interpretations to a section of the constitution. The vague and ambiguous nature of the constitution is clearly exploited at every turn in the country, so long you hire brilliant lawyers who can convince the court that their interpretation is true. 4 Likes |

NgeneUkwenu: This APC SANs reminds me of Elijah and the priests of dumb Baal. How can someone who calls himself learned fellow, even a senior one at that, come up with such dump reply? I am highly disappointed in the APC SANs,and their qualifications should be questioned. Even you NgeneUkenu,i am also disappointed in you for even rejoicing. 2 Likes 1 Share |

The success of your argument must be based on the 1963 Consistution. I am yet to find anything that automatically makes Atiku a Nigerian by birth. Please, the provisions of Section 10 is not clear enough to make a Atiku a Nigerian by birth. I can see why you couldn't quote section 10 and dissect it. So it remains that Atiku is not a Nigerian by birth. APC argument is rather unfortunate to the descendants of the former Northern Cameroonian colony. The government needs to amend that law retroactively. 5 Likes 1 Share |

It goes beyond Atiku and Buhari. By Constitutional Provision, they are not Nigerians. And..... No one is actually Nigerian if we want to take it a step further. In 1919, January 1, the Southern Protectorate and Northern Protectorate were joined together for a 100 Years, and that 100 Years have long expired in 2019, and Nigeria as a Country has ceased to Exist Constitutionally, but what Exists now is Nigeria Company. A company dealing in Trading of Oil Mining Licenses and Oil Producing Licenses as well as Tax Collections and Sundry services. Nigeria Company as a Business has about 200 million entities as employees, albeit undocumented. Based on the Universal Code, this land we walk on belongs to the Crown, held in Trust by Queen Elizabeth for the European Families I will refuse to mention at this juncture. That aside, a child of 'Nigerian' parent of Yoruba parent birthed in Ogun State can become Citizen of Lagos State, and even go ahead to become Governor, but a child of a 'Nigerian' parent, of Igbo Ancestory birthed in Lagos, can not be Lagosian and can not attempt to be Governor of Lagos State. The same is for a child of Nigerian 'Yoruba' parent birthed in Imo State etc etc. BUT; Shockingly, children of Yoruba & Igbo Parents, birthed in USA, by parents who are not Americans, are by full right, Americans and can become President of that Great Country. The Blackman must sit himself down, and question his sanity. Full stop. 7 Likes 1 Share |

APC has thrown Nigeria into a citizenship problem , it was easy to rig election, now come and defend it, they have come up with cock and bull story of citizenship.....the country is totally messed up, this is the result you get when your president is a Robot and illiterate . Bihari can not tell APC that using Atikus citizenship is not a better defence , but will rather throw Nigeria into Chaos. illiteracy has turned Nigeria upside down. |

naijapips04: But thats the point. Even if you can argue they (NC) were not part of Cameroon of today, it is also crystal clear they were NOT PART OF WHAT WAS CALLED NIGERIA AS AT OCT 1ST 1960. Not really a fan of APC and thier crew, but if 1999 constitution is applied to the letter ie citizen BY BIRTH, they (APC) may have a strong case here. 1 Like |

alezzy13: But going by your logic, British columbia was never a country. So the only country Atiku has ever been a citizen of, is Nigeria. Meaning he was Nigerian by birth as the rest of our fathers and other indigenous clans that had no country until Nigeria became a republic. |

Nigerian by birth refers to those whose parents or grandparents were to born in Nigeria before or after 1960.....that is belongs to a community indigenous to Nigeria. Nigeria became Nigeria in 1914, and the northern Cameroon did not form part of Nigeria until 1961. There is nothing yet to show that Buhari's parents or grandparents are not from Nigeria. He comes from the North which has been part of Nigeria since 1914 Let's see what PDP has to say. baralatie: 3 Likes |
