Good day house. How can I change the account number initially used for my MMF. what procedure do I need to follow?

My bro made a request 10.17am today and got credited exactly 4.46pm

Who else is still awiating stanbic ibtc mmf 1st quarter fund

Call or send a mail to your asset management firm and request for an update. There should be a form to fill to update such records. I think stanbic calls theirs bank nomination form.

It goes both ways, I've had to wait for more than 24 hours to get credited and I've equally gotten my redemption proceeds in less than 3 hours.

Please I need some form of clarifications on this quarterly proceed. I guess is an option some choose as against the daily payout, but won't the benefit of compound interest be lost temporarily with this option as the quarterly interest won't be added to the principal sum until the end of the quarter if the reinvestment option is chosen?

It happened to me. It took about a week to be reconciled. And then I got this mail four days ago, to avoid it from reoccurring.

Note that your daily interest is not paid out daily. interest is earned daily but it's paid quarterly. If you choose the reinvest option, it's also reinvested at the end of the quarter. Hence n you will will always see accrued interest in your account during every quarter. it's accrued interest that becomes payable interest.
The only time your accrued interest becomes payable before end of a quarter is when you decide to pull out. at that point your capital and accrued interest will be paid immediately. I hope this help

If you want to receive yourselves the stress of checking minutes and not seeing your interest..especially for those using Stanbic IBTC asset management. What you should do is screenshot your account daily by 12 - 1.00 p.m every day excluding Sundays.. Pay more attention to what you see on Mondays because the interest credited is alway for two days..both Saturday and Sunday.

I am saying this because I just noticed that lots of people do not take their time to notice the interest credited in their account daily...

I check my account monthly, and sometimes longer. (like when I want to top up)


I remember the information when I subscribed to Stanbic MMF said:

"interests are paid QUARTERLY"


before they started showing his daily interest thing.


All I do is use the average for the month to check what was added for that month.


It always checks out correct.


I see NO need for all this "MAD" daily monitoring; THIS IS NOT AN EQUITY FUND OR STOCK MARKET


Just saying my mind/attitude to MMF.. No "beef" intended O

I was actually referring to those saying there were not credited on a particular . Apparently they have time to check it daily that's why they could say there were not credited on a particular day...

I went to the bank last week Monday to open a stanbic mutual funds account, till today I haven't gotten any notification.

Someone from their office called on Friday to apologise for the delay. However I'm yet to receive anything till now.

What could be happening?

personally I would suggest you go with stanbic ibtc mutual fund or my second choice axamasard
