OBAGADAFFI: With hindsight, you saw opportunities in Diamond. İf Access had not come, what would be of Diamond? Let Diamond release their 2018 YE results and let's all see what people had bought before the Messiah came to save it. Like Warren Buffett would say: The rearview mirror is always clearer than the windshield. Rearview mirror=hindsight. 2 Likes |

kolaish: My dear, I will advise you to err on the side of caution. This is safety! That is why I'm stock investment, if market falls that I can't come out, what should I do? I hang on and chop dividends. But a stock that has not paid dividends for almost 10 years coming out to speak turenchi, I will quickly run once the exit door opens(especially for those trapped for 10 years). 4 Likes |

Mcy56:The bolded is understandable to you alone. What I am saying is very clear to those that understand the NSE and the Nigerian system: Case Study - the returns that Diamond of recent, has given is never comparable to what stocks with fundamentals will ever give you. Pitch your tent where you know it pays you. I have JB, Fidelity, Caverton, Transcorp in my portfolio, but once in a while, I dives into opportunities in stocks with sentiments and LUCKILY I have been making kills. Does that make a sense? Even Japaul that I bought way back still gave me 30% capital appreciation then. 1 Like |

I agree 100% with you, Sir. Meaning that we can play with funds we can afford to lose. Some of us do not have that type of fund. It doesn't mean that our portfolio is immune to losses. It will not be bad to have 10% of one's portfolio dedicated to playing kalo kalo on the NSE. But when you now want to use the whole of your 100% to make a kill, then na there the wahala go come. kolaish: 3 Likes |

I didn't buy dangote floor tigger brand when selling around N1 because of the weak fundamental but bought at N4 when the fundamental become attractive and I make my money. I can buy Cham above N1 when the fundamental look very attractive in future time but it a no no for me now despite the sentiment surrounding the stock which I kown will increase the price from day one my CAPITAL day important to me 6 Likes |

Deadlytruth: İt is more like saying: İf book no gree enter head, e go enter exam Hall. One methods leaves you satisfied that you know what you are doing and won't be scared as market falls. While the other means that you will be fidgety as anyone checks on you. This is FA Vs SA. 4 Likes |

rebekah2011:On point. 80% of my portfolio is dedicated to stocks with fundamentals (to avoid high BP), while 20% is to chase those kalokalo stocks. Ironically, I have discovered lately that the kalokalo stocks have been the one reducing my losses in the so-called stocks with fundamentals. Summary of it is that, WE SHOULD NOT PUT ALL OUR EGGS IN ONE BASKET (Everything has his own time, Diversification could at times lead to success). 1 Like |

Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Nobody: 2:32pm On Apr 16, 2019 |
rebekah2011: There is no find you can afford to lose. The very moment you set foot on NSE, it is to gain. No one came here with money to lose. İf someone came here with such money, the person could as well give to beggars. İt is only when they are in loss position, they console themselves with "coming to the market with money you can lose". I came here to make money. Same way you did too. But I must cautiously play the game. I stick to FA because it works for me.some guys here are good in TA and I praise them. But the truth there could be delay in achieving what we want and it may not come as expected but that doesn't mean that the method doesn't work. Best is for all to do what works best for them. FA, TA, SA, GA. Stick to it so long as it consistently gives you returns. Abi? 2 Likes |

kolaish: They have some foreign funds that have flowed in recently. Plus they are one of the more innovative Tier 2 banks in terms of product and loan offering. There may be one or two other unknowns (which is why I have 0 unit of Sterling) But I can see another Fidelity story coming out from it if the next 8 to 12 quarters remain the same. |
