Even without pictures, I can tell it's a Honda.

@mist100, you have been called out. Tell us, what brand of car is it? And what has been the history of maintenance so far?

It is a Honda accord 2005. The issue was not the ball joint coming off but the supporting pin that keeps the bolt in place. The mechanic didn't hinge it after my last ball joint change.

Ball joints were changed in December with a new pair. so its only 5months ago.

Sorry about your awful experience.. But I would like to confirm was it the OEM new you bought or the China new..

China new are not reliable. You should have just bought a toks ball joint and if you can afford spending up to 70k buy the original Honda OEM ball joint that would last you over a year.

Please restrain from buying china new ball joint. Honda Accord is a great car and you can't deny enjoy owning one. Don't make Toyota people come here now and start mouthing

my brother 70k on ball joint that will serve .about a year isn't a wise spend. The installed pair are still in shape. The incidence was due to the careless mechanic who eventually accepted responsibility.

Honda is a good ride but this hardly occurs in Toyota brands.

It's serves more than a year.. Though it's not a wise purchase but please next change try and stick with toks ball joint.. All those China ones no dey good at all.. I had a friend who bought one China new.. After installation as he was driving out of the workshop ball joint pulled..

Only a few part dealers stock good new ball joints.. I used a new ball joint once.. Used it for over 6 months self before I changed it to toks.. Depends on where one is getting the new joints from.. But since yours is still OK.. Mech should be more careful next timw
