I'm a Youtuber, and first applied for monetization late January when I reached the threshold, it was denied due to policy violation in some of my videos. I was asked to reaapply after a month.

I then reapplied in the Month of March, after sanitzing and cleaning my Channel to meet community guidelines.
It's been over a month now, I haven't heard from YouTube, and still under review. I've mailed them, to no avail.

I'm worried, and would like to know how long it took you to get approved, and anyone in my shoe?

A lot of people make videos and steadily build a following overtime that Google then sends requests for their account’s monetization.
The company for now only sees you as one of the many thousands of hustlers trying to make a buck off their services, hence their reluctance to grant your wish.

That’s the mindset my paragraph addresses.
Try and make videos for the fun of it.
Desperation is the reason Nigerians go into vlogging and the sort.
Sometimes one should ask him/herself ‘if I don’t get paid, will I still continue this?’.
If your answer is no then I don’t see the point waiting on the company to monetize your service.
