Evaluation first. Use the time to perfect your IELTS prep.

Marula:
Please which would you do first if you can't do both concurrently, Certificate Evaluation or IELTS with eyes on managing your finance ?

I was thinking of doing Evaluation first before test because of the time Cert Evaluation takes but after reading a testimony here, am considering doing the test first and if I get good grades that will make my CRS make good sense, then I'll go ahead with Certification evaluation.

What do you think?

The decision to migrate was made in early 2017.

Evaluated my master degree with IQAS and hubby's ND/HND with WES.

We wrote IELTS 9 times (mine 8 and hubby 1)

I passed IELTS at the 5th attempt with LRSW - 9777

Unfortunately, this placed us at 439 and went for two more with 0.5 deficiencies in writing.

I then took the last test on 1st December 2018 and had LRSW - 8.5, 7.5, 7.5, 7.5.
This breakthrough in writing came when Dr Benson offered to teach and review my write-ups. Our CRS score then moved to 445

I never got tired of writing the exam as it was the only mountain before me that needs to be leveled for us to have ITA.

My utmost thanks goes to the God Almighty !!!

I also thank my friends Oby, @Zinggi and @Wasseynet for always being there to listen to my silly talks and unnecessary worry at odd hours of the day (you all will rest now).

Thank you so much Doc Benson for bringing the breakthrough in my writing.

To as many as are looking unto God for PPR, the Lord will grant it.

Try to boost it with TEF or your spouse(if you are marrie) writing IELTS.

I bet you most 440-449 are unsure of themselves with CRS constantly at 451.

Thanks a bunch.

I have a friend who recently got her PCC from the the FBI. She downloaded the required FD -258 or fingerprint form or card onto an A4 sized paper. Don’t forget to use ink pad, use YouTube videos on how to fingerprint rightly. I am doing the same.
If it’s ok with you we could dhl it together to safe cost. I intend to send mine this week.
From the information on https://www.edo.cjis.gov/#/ the processing time starts when they receive your fingerprint card via mail and that’s 3-5 biz days plus time for their first class mailing to get to you.
Hope this info helps.

BootyliciousHon:
For those who have gotten PCC form the US, how did you go about the fingerprint part? The FD-254( fingerprint form)...how did you g it? What kind if paper did you download it on? A4? Also how long did the process take?
I already read about how to get the PCC on the cic website but I dont seem to understand how to go about fingerprinting.

Anyone who can guide please?

451 again.

Deja vu. This is looking like the way 441 was doing last year with those below 440 shut out.

Hmm.

Congrats to all those who got ITA.

To the rest of us below 450, let keep the hope while looking for ways to boost our CRS score.

The funny thing about all these is that the Masters and PhDs that are helping people to rake in these scores become useless when you start looking for work in Canada. At least it get you to the door, allow you to enter Canada.

Another reason could be due to sibling points. For everyone who lands in Canada, you can gift 15 points to each of your siblings. That has a powerful multiplier effect.

Thanks much. Good thing I've not submitted to WES for evaluation. I'll pull off the NECO from my profile.

Hi, if you are still interested in Neco, Pm me.
I have a contact in Minna and shes submting an application tomorrow morning for someone.

On a flip side, Neco is actually cheaper to process than Waec.

Yes you can claim 3 different jobs NYSC inclusive as long as they are under the right NOCs. try to get reference letters for them. If it is impossible then you can attach other evidence to show you worked in the place you claim
