These names tire me oooo, but I believe that is the fun. All the same, some people's greed always makes them do something terrible to others. For now make I just dey observe and code.

THE STORY CONTINUES





LUDIBA GLANCES UPWARD, HIS MOUTH PURSED BUT SLIGHTLY OPEN AND LOOSE. HIS EYES ARE FIXED AS IF HE WAS LOOKING AT SOMETHING A YARD AWAY...
He insufflate when his father's authoritative voice screamed in his head.., he had told his father he was going to get the book from where he hid it, but now he was in a much dilemma, he wasn't sure if he should deliver the book to him or not..

He remember Aluziya's words, the book could save more lives, what if his grandfather was right.., What if the book was found to redeem the people of Zulugua and ushered in a new order.. A new world as his grandfather claimed to have foreseen..

He sigh as he stare at the book in his hand.. ,he scowled his eyes on every inch of the book..
The questions he had been asking himself came running back into his head.., where had the book come from.., why did he find it.., he believes there is a connection.., he believes he didn't find the book.., the book found him...

He stare at the cloud.., the bright blue sky shining it's sunlight Into the earth..., he fixated his eyes on the sky as if the solution to his dilemma was there...

He lour down his head and stare at the book again, he flip open the pages wondering what was written on it.., he hasn't gotten the chance to ask his grandfather if he knows what was written on the book....

Frustrated, he close the bible... "What will i do..? He ask himself totally confused...

Silence was the order of the moment in Ugoloko's house.. ,all sat waiting patiently for Ludiba's return..
Ugoloko stood up from where he was sitting and began pacing about.., he was unrest.., his mind was busy summoning up consequences that might follow his son's actions..

There was a slight pause, then a thunderous command came up..

Ariya and Aluziya nearly collaspe to their feet when they heard footsteps approaching after the command..
Just then, the door burst open...

Aluziya's heart skipped when she saw men dressed in guards attire with swords in their hands...

"What is the meaning of this...? Ugoloko hollered greatly infuriated

Aluziya quickly cling to her mother's side when another guard.., probably their commander walked into the hut..., he rolled his eyes at all of them as if he was searching for something...
"Where is the boy...?

Ariya's heart raced at tremendous speed, just then she realise her fears has come to pass..

"There is no boy here...? Ugoloko protested..

The guard rolled his eyes at him, then at the rest of the guards... "Get all of them... "

The other guards standing quickly seize the three of them..

"What have we done.. "Ariya cried out as they were dragged into a cage...

Azodukala could hear the pounding of his heart, he knew he shouldn't be scared, shouldn't be afraid at this crucial moment but there was something about her eyes, something evil.., dark.., it sents terror to anyone it faces.. No wonder, she's called the dark priestess...

"The one with the book must be found... "The dark priestess said.. "His blood will be used to appease ogini... "

Her words sent fright to Father, mother and daughter...

"What about them..? Lord Chaka asked

"They will be kill as well...,beheaded alongside the one with the book.. "

"Are you just going to kill us without hearing the story..? Azodukala asked

"Your story is irrelevant... "The dark priestess retorted... LUDIBA TOOK A DEEP DRAG, THEN HE LOOK UP AT THE SKY AGAIN, THE SUNLIGHT WAS SLOWLY FADING AWAY MAKING THE WORLD DIM AGAIN.., he swallowed., he has finally decided to take the book to his father.. Whatever decision his parents make about the book, he was willing to stand by it..

He quickly spun round when he heard footsteps approaching from behind him....

He suck his teeth when he notice it was Ajacua....

"Ludiba, you're here..."Ajacua said with pants breathe.. "I've been searching all over for you.. "

"What could be the reason for you to be searching for me Ajacua..? Ludiba asked with bug lips.. "You and your father are the reason my parent knew i still have the book.. "

"That doesn't matter now Ludiba.., your parents.... "He took a slight pause wondering the way to break the news to him

"My parents what..? Ludiba ask curiously taking a step towards him.. "What happened to my parent..?

"They..., they were taken to the palace.. "

Aluziya quickly woke up when a hand gripped her ..,she blink when she came face to face with the harsh reality of what was going on...

"Leave my daughter alone.. "Ariya shouted at the top of her voice as she was dragged away..

Non of the guards cared to listen to her pleas, nor the threat of her father's...

With tears in Aluziya eyes, she complied as they dragged them into the arena...

She was shock to see the large crowd at the arena.., she scan her eyes around..., her breathe nearly choke out of her lungs when she saw the execution stone at the middle of the arena.., beside the stone stood a man wearing a black mask on his face...with an axe.., she quickly realise he was the executioner.. ,she looked up and saw the king, his three wives and children....

With a pulsating heart, she moved her eyes away, there her eyes fell on the fearful image of ogini.., stood beside it was the dark priestess in her dark gown....

"People of Zulugua.. "Lord Chaka began.. "This men has defied our god, our saviour, ogini..., they brought in false gods to our land, which is an abomination in the eyes of ogini.., therefore they shall suffer the consequences.. "

"Kill the traitors... "Someone shouted from the crowd

"Do you all have anything to say before your death sweeps you away...?Lord Chaka asked

"I only have a request my lord.."Ugoloko said

"And what is your request..?

Ugoloko took a deep drag, he stare at his wife and Aluziya who were crying nonstop...., he never imagine he was going to end up like this, but he can't let his wife and children suffer the same fate.... "

The dark priestess glare at him..

Not minding her look, Azodukala crocked his throat... "And this is my question.., if worshippers of Hakundad are not killed for worshipping him, then why are we sentence to death because a strange power healed me of my affliction.., or is it that, ogini is afraid of this power.., or ogini is afraid of the God that wields the power..?

"Enough of your blasphemes... "The dark priestess retorted.. "ogini is not afraid of any power, because she is the greatest god.. "

"If that is the case.., aren't we entitled to welcome this strange God just the way the worshippers of Hakundad are entitled to serving him?

"Hakundad is a subject of ogini.., ogini in her infinite mercy made him a god, but they're not equal.. "

"So are you saying that the God who healed me is equal with ogini.., or is he greater than ogini..?

"Old man.. "Lord Chaka hollered infuriated.. "You've said enough.., guards take him to the block.."

The guards quickly seize him and and begin to push him to the block..

"People of Zulugua.. "Azodukala shouted at the top of his voice..."How long will you continue to live in fear, how long will you continue to suffer.., salvation has come.., it's knocking on your doors... "

They quickly lay his head on the block..

"Father... "Ugoloko shouted wanting to go to him but Ariya held him back..

"Grandfather.. "Aluziya cried out with tears flowing endlessly from her eyes..

"Do not worry my son.. "Azodukala said.. "I have made peace with this new God that i have found.., and i know a day is coming when this God will come and save this land from the bloodthirsty one.. "

"Grandfather... "A voice shouted from the crowd..
Just then, Ludiba began to pushed his way through the crowd..

The executioner slowly raised the axe as he aims for his target's neck...

Finally, ludiba forced his way through...

Azodukala smile when he saw him.. "My....

Before he could finish his statement, the executioner cut off his head...

Their heart crushed as Azodukala head collasped to the floor, his eyes widely open...

"Nooo... "Ludiba shouted as he rushed to his lifeless weasled body...

"Ludiba.. "Ariya shouted as Ugoloko rushed to Azodukala de-attached body...

"Seize the boy.. "The dark priestess ordered

As the guards approached, Ugoloko tried to fight them off trying to give Ludiba time to escape, but time wasn't in their favour.., Ugoloko was punched on the jaw and he collapse to the floor making the dust splattered..

The guards immediately seize Ludiba...

"Where is the book...? The dark priestess queried...

Infuriated, Ludiba spat on her face... "I will never tell you.. "

The dark priestess curl her lips in anger as she wipe off the siliva from her face.., with great ferocity, she slapped him...

"Bring four horses... "She ordered..

Slowly, Ugoloko regained himself, he clenched his fist and stood up to his feet.., when he notice the executioner was looking elsewhere, he did the unthinkable.., he snatched the axe from him and began to held for the dark priestess...., he had one goal.., end the priestess...,he close all sense of reasoning.., damned the consequences...

Few inches to where the dark priestess was standing, a sword pierce through his stomach...

"Father.... "Aluziya shouted

Blood quickly rushed out from his mouth, he tried to look back, to see who has stab him from behind..., just then the dark priestess slit his throat...

Immensely bleeding, he collapse to the floor.., he tried to fight, he heard his daughter's voice calling him, just then he realised he has made a grave mistake, but it was too late.., his irrational decision has led him to his grave...

Slowly, he began to shut down.., every sense of feeling began to withered away.., just then he gave up the ghost...

Aluziya couldn't control her eyes.., her eyes darted from her grandfather to her father's body..

"Alu.. "Ariya muttered..

Aluziya couldn't breathe, her breathe rose and fall in shallow sobs..

"Alu... "Ariya muttered again tapping her... "You need to run away.., the guards are distracted by your father's death.., you need to run. "

"Buuuu...

"Listen to me Alu.., it's obvious they'll kill your brother and they'll kill me as well.., our entire family can't die here.., if your grandfather is right.., then it's my wish for you to see that day that the God of that book will come and destroy ogini.. "

With tears, she drift away from her mother's hands.., she took a last glance at her brother, then her father's body..., she glance at her mother again who manage to smile and nod her head...

For the First time.., Ariya knelt down and prayed to the God of the book her children believed in to protect her daughter...

The dark priestess watched as Ludiba's two hands were tied to two different horses, while his two legs to another two horses.., it was the worst kind of dead ever...

With pounding heart, Ludiba accepted his fate..

With a whistle, the four horses darted off into different paths separating Ludiba's hands and legs from his body....

His blood splattered as his legs and hands pulled off from his body....

Some of the people in the crowd look away, some started walking away, while the ones enjoying the show kept watching as the seed of fear began to grow in them...

"This is what happens to anyone who dared defy ogini.. "The dark priestess said..

Ariya just stood numb.., she just let the tears to flow freely.., she was devastated .., in a day, she lost her husband and her son.., there was nothing to live for again...

"Bring her here... "The dark priestess ordered

Ariya didn't resist, didn't struggle when the guards grab her hand, she was like a statue.., a walking dead.., her brains had completely shut down...,but unfortunately, the dark priestess doesn't care...

"Hold her.. "She said as she took out a small cup that was placed on the evil image of ogini.., slowly, she slit Ariya's throat open and let her blood flow into the cup..

When she was done, she nodded and the guards let go of Ariya's body allowing it to collaspe on the floor....

With an evil smile, the dark priestess took a swig of the blood, then she gave it to a guard..
"Give it to the king.. "

With a feeling of disdain, Lord Chaka stare at the blood, then at the priestess, wondering what nonsense she was doing...

Unwillingly, he drank it, he quickly drop the cup at the taste of it...

"All hail ogini... "The dark priestess shouted..

Breathing heavily, adrenaline sinking in, starved for breathe.., Aluziya stopped and hold a tree for support.., she look around the bush trying to catch her breathe.., just then she saw the guards again, just when she was about to run again, she hit her leg on a log of wood and stumbled on the floor..

Fear, trepidation engulfed her as the guards ran to where she was.., she thought all was over.., she wasn't able to escape but to her utmost surprise, despite been there with her, they looked like they were searching for her...

"I thought she was here.. "One of the guards said... "Where did she go..?

Just then, her doubt was confirm.., they weren't seeing her despite been there with her.., what sort of a thing is this.., is she invisible...?

"Let's go forward and check.. "One of the guards suggested..

Without hesitation, they all left that spot..

Still in her shocked state, she stood up and staggered more into the bush...."No grandfather, no father, no mother, no brother..., she's all alone.. All alone... ,Was it her fate to suffer such a terrible lost in one day...?

Francis crunched down to the floor the moment he entered his room..., ogini's daughters words keep echoing in his head.., the thought of never seeing his loved ones creep into his head, it chased in fear.., self pity...

His room door slowly creak open...
Not turning to face the door, he dig deep in his thoughts...

Taka sniff, he wipe off his wet eyes, he took a step further and close the door, he crunched down and lean his back on the door....

"Is ogini that powerful that he will make you mad and kill all your loved ones if you don't offer the sacrifice...? Taka ask

Taka purse his lips when Francis gave no reply...."Are you scared...?

Amidst the anger, Francis gave way to silent tears....

"Are you crying....? Taka ask

Francis puff and wipe his eyes....

"Do you think ogini will do that..., i mean... "Taka clenched his teeth...... "You know i never really believed this ogini of a thing.., but i do now.., but what happened to your brother's fiance really got me scared...,if ogini can do that, he can....

"Make me mad and kill my loved ones... "Francis interjects...

Taka snort....

"The truth is...."Francis took a slight pause... "I don't know what ogini can do... "

"You saw what her daughters did to your brother's fiancee...

"That was a way of telling me they're real... "Francis cut in, exasperation coated in his voice....

Taka gritted...

Rose gritted, slowly, she held his hands... "Everything will be fine..."

Rose swallowed, she slowly pulled her hand away..

Max didn't want to let go but he knew it will be stupid holding onto her hand...

She took a deep drag and raced the engine to a stop, she thought about all that have happened, she killed someone, for the first time in her life, she murdered someone...

She didn't have a choice, she knew for a fact, Bobby could have killed her for the money.., it was him or her..
She thought about Gerald.., she wonder who has found him, what had happened to him...

She opened the car door, she was inclined to check if the money was still intact.., she came down, took a deep drag, then she opened the car boot...

She went towards the boot.., she open it wide, she removed the suitcases that were laid on top of the one the money was.. ,she quickly pulled them out and brought out the one the money was..

Without hesitation, she zip it open.., she threw out the clothes that were on top.., happiness wrecked her spines when she saw notes of currency, she picked some up...

"Bianca you're rich... "She blared out...

She began to take more out.., shock swept through her when she realise the rest wasn't money but bunch of papers....

"Oh my God...! She exclaimed in shock......, she took out more but it was all papers..

She gave out a loud outburst....

"Dillan.... "She shouted in frustration...

Infuriated, she started kicking the tires and slamming every inch of the car....

Just then a car from behind her speedily drove into her front and stop in front of her car..

She quickly kicked on the brakes and rammed the engine to a stop..., she breathe heavily, her heart slamming hard against her chest..

Infuriated, she opened the car door and began to trot towards the other car....

"Are you insane....? She raved walking towards the car...
She became more annoyed when the owner of the other car didn't bother coming out...

With vexation sinking deep into her, she began to hit the windscreen of the car...
"Come out you idiot... "She yelled..

The car door quickly opened..

Shock raced through Rose when she saw a man on mask..
Before she could turn around to run, the man grab her by her hand, then he knocked her out..
He carried her into the car and drove off leaving Rose car on the view....

Francis pushed the pillow from the bed, ogini's daughters words ringing in his head..., the thought of loosing the rest of his family and going mad hunt him...
He finally decided to stand by his decision....

Without hesitation, he pick up the sacred dagger, it was better he sacrificed himself than let someone die because of him..

He swallowed, tears flowing down freely, he look at his mother's pictures, then Pious, he force a smile on his face...

He turn away his gaze from the picture and took off from the room...

He look at the cloud when he got outside, it was almost dark.., he wanted to say goodbye but it seems the rest of the family has gone out...

He look at the mansion again, then he began heading outside the gate....

The security men didn't bother to question him, they just watched as he went outside......

He took a few steps from the mansion, not looking back, he continued walking...

It wasn't long before someone hit him from behind.., he fell down and drown into a state of unconsciousness

There was a slight pause of tension..., beating heart....
"I think they've gone to offer the sacrifice..... "

Fear gripped Pious.... "Sacrifice, where did they go to, where are they offering the sacrifice.... ?

"Francis always said the sacrifice was supposed to take place at the riverbank...,i think they went there..... "

"On my way.... "Pious said walking out...

"What's happening....? Kess ask..

"The sacrifice.., we've to stop them.... "

"The father.., the father is here.... "Kess said looking at Father Moses who was walking towards them...

Confused,Kess ran after him leaving father Moses on his tracks....

"Where have you brought me....? he blared out..

Taka fix his eyes on the dagger....., he raise his head to face him.... "At the cliff.., the ogini river is down there..... "

"What are you doing Taka....?

"Offering myself as the sacrifice.... "

"You can't do that.., it's not in your place to die for me..."

"Ogini will kill your loved ones.... "Taka countered..... "And you'll go mad..., am probably one of your loved one since ogini chose me as a sacrifice, so i will still die whether i do this or not... "

"I was about to offer myself as the sacrifice, why did you knock me out and bring me here... "

"You know it won't work that way...., you cannot die Francis..., someone else has to die.... "

"Don't do this Taka, please.... "

Taka took a deep drag, then he look at the cloud that was shaping into darkness...

He smile, remembering all good moments he had.... "Your brother will still be alive..., if your brother die, you'll never forgive yourself, Giselle won't forgive you.., but i.., no-one will miss me.., i have no-one except you.... "

"Please Taka, don't do this.., please... "

Taka stood up, the dagger in his hands, he went towards the cliff.....

"Taka.... "Francis shouted struggling with the rope....

"Thank you for everything Francis.... "Taka said

"Don't do this Taka, please.... "Francis whimpered with tears....

Taka look down at the water, fear engulfed him but he stood his ground....,he look back at Francis who was screaming his name, then he look back at the river.....
"Ogini.... "He muttered

He grunts and called out again.... "ogini... "

"Taka don't..... "Francis shouted

"ogini...... "Taka called out the last time.......

Taka cut his palm with the dagger ,he wince and let the blood fall on the river.....

"Francis...... "Pious shouted from behind them.....
Without hesitation, he started running towards him, Giselle and Kess tagging along....

"Taka.., stop him... "Francis boom out....

Taka look back at them, he remenbered his mother, his father, their ruthless and brutal murder.....

"Taka.., please stop.., don't do this... "Pious said...

Taka scoffs... "You have a wonderful family..... "He turn back to face the river..... "Mother..., father.... "

He took a deep drag, without hesitation, he stabbed himself.....

"Taka..... "Francis shouted.....

Taka wince in great pains, but he managed to smile as Pious run towards him....
Before Pious could reach him, Taka crunched down, lost his balance and fell off the cliff landing with a thug on the river...

The water splashed as Taka's body landed......

"Pious...... "Giselle said with shaking mouth as Francis legs began invisible

"Francis.... "Pious shouted rushing to him...
he grabbed Francis hand as his waist to his toe began invisible....

"Brother.... "Francis said in tears not taking his hands off him....

Like a chased out dust.., Francis complete body disappeared out of sight...

Pious watched with throbbing heart as Francis disappeared into thin air...
