gobuchinny: The S.A corrolas and Avensis had numerous defects. Especially transmission and ABS. Sadly in Africa you don't hear of recalls. |

Hello @Guzzuzz Please I need help. I just replaced the engine to my 2005 accord v6 but the car won't start because the key sign kept flashing on the dashboard. An electrician was called and after much checks it was discovered that the ECU was fried. The bridging wires thought to be the culprits were properly insulated and a replacement ECU was brought in but immediately the battery was fixed the second ECU got fried in the same location as the first one. Please see attached picture and give your professional advice. Warm regard

Re: ASK GAZZUZZ by ojeysky(m): 12:06pm On Apr 18, 2019 |
ozoneymcm: Most likely the alternator, i have been there before, try check the voltage of the battery at night then disconnect the alternator cables and check the battery voltage in the morning if there is no major difference then its most likely the alternator having bad diodes. |

Re: ASK GAZZUZZ by GAZZUZZ(m): 12:32pm On Apr 18, 2019 |
eDriiz: misfires can be caused by * Low Fuel pressure * Faulty injectors * Faulty spark plugs * Faulty ignition coils * low Cylinder compression * incorrect firing order. * dysfunctional Variable timing. * Defective engine ECU (aka brain box) When you have ruled out every other thing, then change brainbox * |

Re: ASK GAZZUZZ by GAZZUZZ(m): 6:49pm On Apr 18, 2019 |
ozoneymcm: There is no direct answer to this problem. There is a sequence of Diagnosis required to solve this problem. If you are good at using electrical and electronic tools we will continue. |

Hello gazzuzz.. Good Morning Been hearing some cracking sounds inside my tank, immediately after I park. It stops after few minutes though. Ran a diagnostic on the check light ive been receiving and got a P0441, P0455 and P0741. The first two was about Evap system issue and the other was Torque converter clutch circuit. It's a Corolla 05. Please what's the best way to approach this? |
Re: ASK GAZZUZZ by GAZZUZZ(m): 6:45am On Apr 19, 2019 |
djkmz: the evap emission system might require a replacement. For the P0741 check transmission oil colour. |
