tataiwo09: UKZN doesn't charge you tuition for research postgraduate degrees i.e MSc and PhD. Furthermore you deserve more than just tuition waiver, try to apply for TWAS-NRF the online application is on. Also check out for CSIR and also inquire from your intended varsity whether they have any form of bursary.... All the best.. |

Demilade1: You have to sort yourself out from DHA, if you don't have DHA in your locality you can go to VFS to inquire of what to do. |

Housing should be roughly R25,000 to 35,000 per annum base on whether it is on or off campus or the situation of where you stay. Feeding ranges from R2500 to R4000 per month but that's largely dependent on your feeding ways... All the best.. |

Zaronxpanol: Return ticket is optional for study as far as I know. But you can book it ahead as it is envisaged to be cheaper than when you book one-way later.. |

Good day all, been long I visited the platform, just want to encourage you all to keep waiting patiently. It will end in praise. Timeline of a friend who just collected her passport.. Visa Category - Visit Visa Application submitted on the - 8th of March Submission Centre - @ Port Harcourt Application received @ Lagos on - the 11th of March Passport Pick up mail on the - 17th of April. Processing duration - 5weeks 2 days Applicant - First timer on a virgin passport. Processing Agency - Applicant did it by herself Call from Embassy - None was made to applicant Passport pickup information - by mail, no text message Guys, just be patient and believe. It will end in praise. As long as you have the right documents, they will issue you visa... It's not a must that you will receive a call from the embassy, but always make sure you supply reachable phone contacts during your application in case they have need to reach you. God bless. @andrew444 and @mimicle101 , I await your testimonies 3 Likes |

samtol4: You have to secure a research advisor as well, then submit an online application, the application is currently open. PhD candidates are usually advised to apply for TWAS-NRF as they have better chances than DST-NRF. MSc candidate should apply for DST-NRF... Surf the internet for more info.. |

good afternoon, I was denied sa visa application on monday and right there and then, i wrote an appeal letter at the vfs, I was not even given an acknowledgement slip or any thing. The lady handling it was not even helpful when i asked for a time line for reverting. Reason for denial was "UNVERIFIABLE LETTER OF INVITATION" My question is, has any one ever appealed and won it? please i ll appreciate an urgent response. Thank you |

Someone should kindly help in this. I applied for my study (PhD) visa in Jan. 2019 but when it came out this April, I was given only 10 months. This is because my passport will be expiring in Mar. 2020. I called an immigration Officer and I was told I won't be able to do any passport renewal since it is not up to 6 months before the passport expiry date. My question is: Can I actually renew my passport before I leave for SA Also, like how much is it to renew my passport in SA, and where in SA? Also, like how much is it to renew my visa in SA, and where in SA? Please, anyone that know what I can do... |

radah3: I can only answer you about renewing your passport in sa. Is very easy and fair. Simply go online you can google Nigerian passport renew south africa you should find the correct site. From there complete the online application and print it. Then you go to the Nigerian consulate where you will be assisted you must go with a bank card for swiping cos cash is not accepted. As at the time I did last year it was R1530 1 Like |

Its for you to go collect your passport. you will only know the decision after you pick it. When did you apply? Namani: |
Re: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by Aragon1: 10:57pm On Apr 18, 2019 |
andrew444: Yes that's what we refer to as a virgin passport( a passport with no visa on it). But also bear in mind that if your previous/expired passport had a visa on it, the new one you have right now wouldn't really be seen as a virgin passport. Your previous passport number will reflect on your new Passport and reference could be made on your previous travel history with that expired passport. But for every application you make, i will advise you to attach a copy of your previous visas. |
