You are sn idiot. Who is talking of the area council of the FCT. Stol shiffting goal post. We are discussing Abuja as part of what make up the FCT..

Explain the bolded. grin

vaxx2:
This is even more stupid than i thought of . The five phases of abuja with their district collectively are what is called FCT. In totality, Abuja may have more than 66 districts. Stop limiting this districts. The area council of abuja stretches to other part of the FCT. We are dealing with abuja here mind you. Dont read Wikipedia just like a slowpoke

you argue blindly without any iota of reasoning, you posted a receipt on tourism in Nigeria (2017( which was amounted to 2 hundered million and 549 THOUSAND while i posed receipt in 2017 for Ghana at an amount nearly a billion dollar. And you think they are on the same page. Maybe By miracle that gap will have favour Nigeria in 2018. Show me any report from Nigeria stating Nigeria receipts on tourism in 2018? I don't even mind if it is blog report.

There is what we call poor journalism, the kenya news report definitely make an error or follow different parameter which was not captured in the report.

N30,000 minimum wage implementation begins today —Presidency
Published
Implementation of the N30, 000 minimum wage just signed into law by President Muhammadu Buhari takes effect from Thursday, April 18, a presidential aide, Mr. Ita Enang, has announced.

Enang, who is Senior Special Assistant to the President on National Assembly Matters, told State House correspondents on Thursday in Abuja that the Minimum Wage Repel and Enactment Act, 2019 has replaced the existing one.

According to him, the bill now makes it mandatory for employers of labour in both public and private organisations to pay N30,000 as minimum wage.

“You can see me smiling on behalf of Nigerian workers. President Muhammadu Buhari has assented to the Minimum Wage Repel and Enactment Act, 2019.

“This makes it compulsory for all employers of labour in Nigeria to pay to their workers the sum of N30,000.

“This excludes persons who are employing less than 25 workers, persons who work in a ship which sails out of jurisdiction and other persons who are in other kinds of regulated employment which are accepted by the Act.

“It also gives workers the right if you are compelled by any circumstance to accept salary that is less than N30,000 to sue your employer to recover the balance.

It also authorises the minister of labour and any person nominated by the minister or any person designated by the minister of labour in any ministry, department or agency to, on your behalf, take action in your name against such employer to recover the balance of your wages.

According to the presidential aide, the bill ensures and mandates the National Salaries, Income and Wages Commission and the minister or labour to be the chief and principal enforcers of the provisions of this law.

“This law applies to all agencies, persons and bodies throughout the Federal Republic of Nigeria.”

Enang enjoined Nigerian workers to continue to support the president and his administration’s policies in return for the gesture.

“Mr President will celebrate with workers and the Federal Government will celebrate. This is Mr. President showing workers the love he has for them and we will match with the Nigerian workers.”

Asked if it the new minimum wage covers the National Youth Service Corps, Enang said, “It covers all persons covered by the Act.”

Expect more blackouts – Energy Institute
DUMSOR BLACKOUT
Blackout in Accra

An expert from the Institute of Energy Security (IES) has urged Ghanaians to embrace themselves up for more power outages.

The Executive Director of the IES, Paa Kwesi Anamoah Sakyi, has said the Power Distribution Services Ghana (PDS), the new company which has taken over from the Electricity Company of Ghana, may have failed already.

Mr Sakyi has accused the PDS of not being truthful to Ghanaians in the wake of renewed energy crisis.

“It is obvious that we are back where we were before and for that matter I want to urge the new power distribution outfit to come out and make it clear to us else we should brace ourselves up for more power outages,” he said on Accra-based radio station, Neat FM as monitored by Adomonline.com.

Power outages have surged in recent times with with many parts of the country experiencing unsual blackouts for the second week running.

The PDS has attributed the blackouts to problems experienced at the Bulk Supply Points but the regularity with which the outages are happening have caused many to doubt their explanations.

A statement by the outfit said GRIDCO, the system controller, was investigating the problem which has resulted in a shutdown of bulk supply points at Mallam, Graphic among others around 7:20 pm today [Wednesday].

The affected areas include Madina, Koforidua, Achimota, Kasoa, North Kaneshie, Cape Coast and other areas.

The system imbalances have caused major power outages in a lot of communities with the system voltage at some sectors monitored reducing to 26KV.

But Mr Anamoah Sakyi has called on government and the power distributor, to declare “dumsor – or scheduled load shedding – and publish a corresponding timetable to regulate the process.

pls don't support or bring on that mediocre scheme here. The n-power is an insult to unemployed Nigeria graduate, it pays an allowance of 30 thousand naira to a bsc graduate while the tradermoni is the most useless exercise any committed Goverment can come up with, it pays 10 thousand naira which must be refunded. Walahi that amount no reach me shop kelechi with Guiness beer for semshak in jos.

In Ghana, there is similar body like n- power called nation builders corp they are about 100,000 graduate in total and still expanding to cater for unemployed graduate. Their stipends is 700 cedis.Calculate that amount using today rate.

If you say Lagos state is more beautiful than FCT, I can understand but saying Abuja is less beautiful than Lagos metropolitan city then I know you don't have a clue.

Abuja is more beautiful than Lagos metropolitan city.

Greeny, lined trees, parks, planned districts, natural environment, ....o boy..... Even oyinbos wey see Abuja bow for dem fada.

Of course, Lagos metropolitan city is beautiful too no doubt about it...places like VI, Ikoyi, Ajah... etcetera

Another evidence you guys don't even know your country.

Abuja is divided by phases, while the phases has districts in them. Abuja has only five phases of which only less than three of them are developed..what consist of the FCT is the totality of the phases and its districts.

Lagos is both a city and a state, it consist of both cities which are kocated in the inland and the island. The island part of lagos is the most developed area of Nigeria and continuous urbanized part of Nigeria, not even Azokoro and maitama can match up the development.

It is only oyinbo from Afghanistan that will rate abuja as anything extraordinary when mbape the slum is sitting right next to maitama.

You need to come to Abuja. You don't have lined trees, lakes, hills, pedestrian walk, underground drainage, closed gutters, mountains, waterfalls, rocks, parks, etcetera in Nairobi. It's is practically incomparable. Abuja is more beautiful than Nairobi.
