Slowly, Rose opened her eyes.., she blink oblivious of where she was.., just then the memory that has eluded her fired up in her head.., someone had kidnapped her..

She quickly opened her eyes wide at the reality of where she was..., she try to free herself, just then she realise she was tied to a chair....

She raise her gaze up, there she saw his back.., she wonder who he was..

Her heart skipped when he spun round to face her...

"Hello Rose... "He said with a grin... "You finally woke up.., i was getting impatient.

"OH GOD..!, YOU MUST BE KIDDING ME...."ROSE SNEERED, SHOCK LACED IN HER VOICE.., "What is the meaning of this John.. ?

John scoffs... "It's surprising that's coming from you.. "

Pulling in breathe, Rose once again tried to free her hands making the chair squeaked.. "Why the hell did you bring me here.. ?She queried infuriated

"You know why you're here Rose.. "

"Hell, i don't.. "

"Okay..., i will tell you.. "He sigh and stare at her as if his next words were written on her face.. "Do you remember how you killed my sister.. ?

Rose puff.. "Is that why am here.., everyone knows Annabel fell down from that balcony on her own.. "

John grunted, he spun round, his hands sliding through his skin cut.., he swallowed and turn back to face her... "You ruined everything for me Rose.., you destroyed my dreams.. "

"I have no idea what you're talking about.. ,so please, tell me why the hell you brought me here.. "

Rose bit her lip, her eyes widely staring at him.. "What is this John, some kind of revenge....?

He spun round when another police van stopped a few pace away from him.., he watched until the policeman came out of the car, he was in police uniform and it was a face he hadn't seen before..

"So many deaths in such a small town.. "The policeman said as he walk towards Kess...

Kess grunts in reply, he was at the verge of asking if he was a new police officer but he took the words right out from his mouth..

"Inspector Douglas.. "He said extending his hand for a handshake..

Kess eyes rolled over to his badge that was hanging in his neck...

"Inspector Kess.. "Kess replied taking in his hand....

"I just got transferred here yesterday.. "

Kess sigh as he quickly remember the DPO had told him a few days ago that a new officer will be coming to replace his former partner.. Philip..

"You're welcome.., the DPO told me about you.. "

"Yeah.. "He cut in.. "He also mentioned you to me.., i wanted to meet you but you weren't in when i dropped by yesterday .. "

"Sorry about that.., i was running a little errand for myself.. "

"I understand... "Douglas said his eyes piercing wide at the ambulance... "Was it a gunshot..?

"Yes.. "Kess replied focusing his attention back on the ambulance... "He was shot at the back of the head.., some patrolling officers saw the body and they called in peremadics.. "

"Do you know the person..?

Kess took a slight glance at him, he wasn't sure if he should tell him but yo... "Yes.., he was a thug to one of the chiefs in this town.. "

"Could it be a rival who killed him..?

"I don't think so... "

"Whoever shot him and dump him on the road was probably sending a message.., don't you think so..?

Kess swallowed slowly sliding his hands behind him... "That could be a possibility.. "

"I also heard a burnt body was found a few days ago. "

Kess shift his gaze to him..

"I did my research... "Douglas said reading meaning into Kess stare.. "And i listen to news.. "

Kess chuckled... "Which officer doesn't..?

"Your former partner.., i heard he was corrupt.. "Douglas said as they trot towards the police vehicle...

Kess inhale softly at the reminder of Philip.. "He wasn't just corrupt., he was a murderer.. "

"So i heard too.., and it makes me wonder why so many policemen are creating such a bad name for the police department.."

Douglas nodded.., they shook hands again and both entered their different vehicles..

Pious sniff and quickly wipe his red eye with a finger.., He felt the kind of sadness that seeps into your bones rather than explodes in a cascade of tears...,the memory of everything that had happened to him weigh heavily in his head.., slowly drowning his body into a web of gloomy desolation...

"You can talk to me my son, what..

"It's my brother father.. "Pious burst in..."He's gone.., just disappeared into thin air... "

"Disappeared...., how..?

"You must help me father.., please.., i can't lose my brother, I've already lost enough... "

"Please son.., calm down and tell me what happened... "

Dillan smile.. "I was anxious to see you.."He shift his gaze to Saheed.. "And my cousin.. "He look ahead hoping to see her, Saheed Sister Nadia...
