Gospel singer Lanre Teriba who a guest today on TVC's Entertainment Splash, disclosed that Americans see Wizkid as an upcoming artiste. Speaking at the interview, Lanre Teriba who disclosed that he travels a lot, stated that Nigerian artistes are still seen as local musicians in the lens of foreigners alongside Wizkid who they see as an upcoming artiste. He said; I travel a lot and I can tell you that Nigerian artistes are still seen as local musicians in the lens of foreigners. Even Wizkid is seen as an upcoming artiste. I go on tour every year, I will be in America from May to July this year, but we, Gospel artistes have a problem with the media. They are not supporting us or mentioning us at all. At the moment, I'm trying to do something with Kirk Franklin. https://unclesuru.com/2019/04/19/americans-see-wizkid-as-an-upcoming-artiste-gospel-singer-lanre-teriba/ 3 Likes 1 Share

Yes they are still learners and local champion music is not all about jumping up and down on stage and shouting trash. Look at late Lucky Dube and Bob Marley this ones command global respect cos of there songs look at late M.Jackson this one na legend. How many Nigerian musician apart from King Sunny Ade, Wasiu Ayinde Barrister, and a host of others that are truelly passing a message with there songs, but this present crops of musicians are just noise makers as far as am concerned. Tu face Idibia, still remains one I respects a lot sha My one cent... 70 Likes 5 Shares |

If Wizid that is more refined in swag than Davido is referred to as an upcoming artiste then I wonder what they will call people like Peruzzi. 3 Likes |

Americans must not approve our musicians as superstar before we tag them as one. there are our superstar, there represent us they represent our music. so Americans keep ur opinion about our musicians to yourselves. Is disappointing that some people are even support this lanre tanribe of a guy, we have really come of age in music I still remember when those American songs dominant our air wave we where listening to them any way but is time for us to do our own thing. This is our own music our own style. the style that is dominating almost all African countries, well Americans must not approve us before we becomes what ever we want to be if lanre want to sing to please the American he can go a head but live our up coming artists for us. 58 Likes 1 Share |

He has a point tho... all those recognition, snapping with drake, sharing same stage with him na lie... d recent one where he shared the same stage with drake... when he was singing soco... people were not connecting... Even i felt he should leave the stage and stop singing already... i really don't like the song anyway... To belong in the american music scene or recognised globally ... You must pay a price and im not sure any of our artist is willing to... 1 Like 1 Share |
