I see how much u love Zanzibar. Very good. And u wish for a collapse of a union gov!

Dude, we know Zanzibar more than anyone.I am not here to reveal our weaknesses as people of united republic. What I can do is clarifying some madness from unlearned fellows.

Once again, prove that you have more than 100 islands. You cant keep lying through your teeth like this. Its not even good for your health. Such lies only existed in Hitler's Germany and now Magufuli's Tanzania. Prove that you have even 60 islands!

I appreciate the translation but the number of lies you have told in the last few mins is mind boggling. Prove again that you are just behind SA in winery? The top 5 wine producing nations in Africa in order are SA, Algeria, Tunisia, Morocco, Cape Verde.

You know Kenya produces lots of wine too right? Try something more substantial like tea, where billions of dollars are made to boost the economy, what does wine contribute to your economy? Tell us what you actually use from the your over 90% green land land as compared to barely 10% arable land size in Kenya

Thirteen people were killed and 16 injured when part of a church collapsed on worshippers following a violent storm near the eastern South African city of Durban, officials said Friday.
The accident happened late Thursday when a brick wall under a makeshift roof collapsed during a service at a Pentecostal church, a converted hangar, in the town of Ndlangubo, north of Durban, in KwaZulu-Natal province.

“Such a tragedy. 13 fatalities 16 people treated by paramedics,” tweeted Robert McKenzie, spokesman for Kwa-Zulu Natal province’s emergency services.

Authorities said the incident happened during a Passover service around 1115 pm (2115 GMT) as hundreds of worshippers gathered for the long weekend of Easter services.

“The congregants were sleeping in the building after the church service ended just after 10pm,” said provincial police spokesperson Colonel Thembeka Mbele.

“There was heavy wind and rain and the walls collapsed. The 13 confirmed dead are 12 women and one boy. An inquest docket has been opened and police are still at the scene,” added Mbele.

Dozens of local people, dazed by the tragedy, spent hours pacing the ruined interior of the building.

“There was no (mobile phone) network so I just ran to the police station and called the police, they responded very quickly and they helped us,” Pastor P.Y. Sibiya told AFP.

Zwelihle Dhlamini, who lost a colleague in the tragedy, told AFP of his shock.

“Right now, I cannot believe what has happened. I still have not recovered from the shock and so are our colleagues. They are still calling me, they are still sending messages as if something is going to change.”

Mildred Oliphant, provincial minister of labour and a member of the church, said it was difficult to come to terms with the disaster, “but we know God has his own reasons.

“I was going to attend the church today. Probably by the end of next week, we will know exactly whether the structure was properly built or what were the challenges about the structure before we say anything.”

Police have meanwhile launched an investigation while other congregations joined authorities in passing on condolences.

“We have been praying for them, our sincere condolences to the families. As Christians, we pray for one another in bad and good times. Indeed those people of Empangeni are in our prayers,” said South African Council of Churches (SACC) provincial deputy chairperson Father Mlungisi Ntsele.

Hello guys check this out. Uyo wants to become a city like lagos and abuja by all means. You need to see the kind of roads in that city , I could even say they are better than the ones in lagos. There are building their CBD and the pic below is the second skyscrapper under construction. The governor said that once this building is completed so many foreign companies and local ones would flood these new city .The buildings is a smart building and it absence has chased alot of investors away. No wonder the governor built 12 lane roads for them and is currently building an industrial city (it would equally house skyscrappers ) and so many hospitals. He even built a dubai like cineplex for them and want to build a light rail like lagos. It just recently bought 2 aircraft without the FG assistance and it is building it international airport. The governor believes that lagos is what it is today because of it port and he is building a deep sea port that is 2x bigger than what lagos have currently. .

Work begins on $1 billion Cross River ‘Virgin’ city
By Tina Todo, Calabar |

Cross River State governor, Senator Ben Ayade

Governor Ben Ayade of Cross River State has initiated work on the $1billion ‘Virgin’ city in Calabar. The project, which would be cited in Etap Ayip Kasuk, in Calabar municipality, is in partnership with a Chinese firm, Mark Sino Construction Company Limited.
Performing the groundbreaking, Ayade said: “This project arose from the potentials of the deep seaport because, as the construction on the seaport starts by January 15, with 35, 000 workers at its peak, we need to provide accommodation and recreational facilities for them.”

The governor, who expressed confidence on the pedigree of the company to deliver said: “I have been to Jilin province, which is a fantastic place with very wide roads and well-built areas that make it far more civilized than America.

“I think we have a great opportunity to use my exposure and contacts to seek an alternative to the continuous dependence on federal allocation.”He canvassed going out of the scope to attract investors and people who would understand the philosophy because the ultimate aim of politics is to serve your fatherland.

The governor expressed the hope that the project would give the host community a sense of belonging through job creation. On recruitment of labour, he said emphasis would also be given to the host community. He said the place would be given a priority in the recruitment of workers, because “we don’t want to build an estate, which the community itself cannot afford to live in.”

Ayade added that some indigenes, whose income would improve as a result of the construction, might be able to buy property in the city.“Let it not be that we took the land because it belongs to government, invest on it and leave the host community too low, when compared to the accompanying development,” he said.He commended the investors for choosing the state for their investments.

He said: “You have made choice of the right state, the right city and the right approval, as this is going to be the fastest growing city with industries, factories, manufacturing plants and recreational centres. Of course, there is no where that would grow as fast as this community.”

The Chairman of the company, Wei Hengshan, who spoke through an interpreter, promised that the company would work according to specification to positively transform the lives of the citizenry. Also, the Clan Head of Kasuk 2 Qua, Ntoe Ededem Iyito, commended Ayade for his developmental projects across the state, and promise the community’s support for the project.

According to the commissioner for Lands and Urban Development, John Inyang, and his counterpart in New Cities, George Ekpungu, the ‘virgin’ city would be a tourist centre and an estate with European and African concept.

This is very good. We need to build more economic corridors outside Lagos.

But on a general note, we need to put more attention on power supply and healthcare. It's becoming more embarrassing. I sincerely believe that if we could fix power at least 75% beyond what we have today, economic growth and the attendant FDI inflow would follow.
