Hello guys check this out. Uyo wants to become a city like lagos and abuja by all means. You need to see the kind of roads in that city , I could even say they are better than the ones in lagos. There are building their CBD and the pic below is the second skyscrapper under construction. The governor said that once this building is completed so many foreign companies and local ones would flood these new city .The buildings is a smart building and it absence has chased alot of investors away. No wonder the governor built 12 lane roads for them and is currently building an industrial city (it would equally house skyscrappers ) and so many hospitals. He even built a dubai like cineplex for them and want to build a light rail like lagos. It just recently bought 2 aircraft without the FG assistance and it is building it international airport. The governor believes that lagos is what it is today because of it port and he is building a deep sea port that is 2x bigger than what lagos have currently. .

..lets me start with calabar carnivals.
This events attractted millions of visitors from south America (mostly Brazilians) ,african,north America and Europe. They stayed for a period of 31 days (1 months) battling and waiting for the final winner. I think brazil came first with south africa coming second place (I am not so sure)

This event is like africa's Oscars award, let me suffice it to say that it is the biggest movie award platform on the continent and it has taken place consecutively for seven years in lagos. Nigeria has always won the best movie of the year but last kenyans surprised us and stole that tittle from us with their debut movie tittle 17 hours. Wangiri boss won so many awards. This was largely due to the fact that the movies released in 2017 which was use as nominations in 2018 was not so good (I am talking nigeria) compared to our previous master piece.

Culture
Our culture is so rich and diverse that the whole world wants to get a glimpse of it. .if you remember in black panther there was these artifacts at the british museum from the benin tribe that was used. Do you know I recently found out that they study about that particular tribe in HARVARD UNIVERSITY. It was regarded as the most civillized tribe in the whole of sub saharan africa as a result of it architectural advancement during the pre colonial era dubbed as THE GREAT WALL OF BENIN.. it was been taught by white harvard professors.
The president of France visited nigeria last year and met with president buhari in abuja to discuss trade deals. And after the meeting he requested that he wants to go to lagos and visit the afrika shrine dedicated to LATE FELA ANIKULA KUTI. He was entetrained by is son FEMI KUTI and after this he announced that he would be hosting a carnival for nigeria culture in the streets of Paris in 2020 . He also said the last time he was at lagos was in 2001 when he came for his IT .

All this is to highlight how we were able to attract visitors and emerge at the top. Nigeria has alot of tourism potentials likes that can hardly be seen anywhere in the he world e.g hanging lakes,caves , warm lakes and so many .it is just sad that our govt just realised the importance of these thing lately.
As for wildlife I was shocked when I discovered that we have lions,tigers,elephants, giraffes. I was like is these not a south africa and Kenyan thing cause an average Nigerian don't know we possess such.
Like my brother said we would be privatising some of our national parks these year let's see if that sector can kick off
