Politics is a game of wits and intelligence. That's why most of your flatheaded people fail in it.
And numbers. Don't forget the numbers.

As a Nigerian from Yoruba descent, if the presidency does not go to the East come 2023, I will personally start my own referendum for the Igbos.

Haba! If they are good enough to be part of Nigeria, they must be good enough to be president. Having expressed my personal views on this matter, I really don't care about a person's tribe and it's ridiculous sentiments like this that keeps dividing us.

The presidency is no tribe's birth right. We need qualified, well rounded people to lead us in the coming years. Enough of these venomous vicious politics.

Maybe you should tell your osu friends that politics isn't about entitlement or sentiment cos politics of hate will take them nowhere it's about give and take. If northerners then refuse to support a yoruba presidency come 2023 then we will know where they stand but till then we wait.

It is pathetic to say but forget about the Igbos and the south south. The votes from Lagos and Oyo is more than enough to neutralize all the votes from southern and eastern Nigeria. But what were the igbos doing when the Kastina was claiming 3million votes? what were the igbos doing when the Kaduna was claiming 3million votes? what were the igbos doing when the Lagos was claiming 5millon votes? what were the igbos doing when the Oyo was claiming 4million votes? Abi what were the igbos doing when the Kano was claiming 5million votes? This quota system has endangered the IBO specie for life.
you mean Lagos wey vote 600k for presidential election?is like you did night duty toady in one burial ground for your skull mining business ,

ADO-EKITI—THE Afenifere Renewal Group, ARG, in Ekiti State, yesterday, expressed confidence that the Yoruba nation would produce the country’s next president in 2023.

Speaking with newsmen in Ado-Ekiti, State Coordinator of ARG, Mr. Bunmi Awotiku noted that the body would play significant role in rallying the Yoruba nation for the realisation of the 2023 agenda.

He said: “The South West has been supportive of the policies and programmes of the present administration of President Muhammadu Buhari and we shall continue to do so. We want him to succeed and he shall succeed by God’s grace.

“We would come to the round table and I can assure you that Yoruba would forge a common front this time around. We have learned our lessons as a people and we won’t allow internal fight or acrimony to deprive us this great opportunity like the presidency.”

Statements such as this one you posted are often very misleading. When you say "the yourbas have enjoyed..." you are hastily equating yoruba politicians (and their cohorts) to the generality of Yoruba people (40million or so in number). Unless ofcourse you mean to create mischief, there can be no denying the fact that the average Yoruba man has not benefited more in comparison to the average Nigerian from other parts of the country.
If there is pls point me in such direction and I mean tangible things that have benefitted the Yoruba people as a whole as compared to other geo-political zones in the country.

The truth is politicians across Nigeria have continued to benefit by illegally enriching themselves whilst enslaving all Nigerians. Case closed.

nazicartel:
but on a serious note, the both parties should present southern candidates, south east to be specific... the Yorubas have really enjoyed in this present Democratic era, the Hausa's too... APC also has strong Eastern members too...
