One username, which I can't remember for if I do I'll mention him, on here deridingly asked "from who"(sic), when Empi.ree wrote that dreams are a means of receiving messages.

It was in the mid 2000s, when my big bro was going through hell on earth. As a jaye jaye that he was, he was broke and only lived on his past street credibility as a tough guy.

There was an alfa - a younger brother of his intimate friend, in fact, they all lived together at the time, who told my bro of a baba alawo who comes to Lagos once every few months to help people after my bro asked if he knew any strong baba who could make him agbo iba or something . He took him there; but while this alfa left them alone, my bro changed the subject and told the baba what he really wanted was "ogun owo" (money ritual), and baba said it was no big deal and that he'd done for many people, even popular ones. I should just conclude the story here with the dream part but, for those who think there's no such thing no dey deceive ya self oo...

The baba gave him four options to choose from: 1) He'd be made a bathing soap, which he'd use but must not come in contact with his eyes or he goes blind. 2) It would be made for him such whenever he thought of spending some money, all he had to do was just to dip his hand in his pocket with the intention of the amount he wants, and he'd bring out the the exact amount but must return from the money into his pocket, everything must be spent or...... I don't know. 3) He'd make a box (a small coffin, to be precise) and keep in his wardrobe. And says every morning he would find the box filled with money which must be emptied, and that the money coming next day must not meet that which was found in the box the previous day, so wherever he was he must go home to empty the money -filled coffin. 4) He'd get a piece of land, with the view to developing in it, dig a well in it and slaughter a ram in the well once every year. And the baba said, even after my bro's passing his children must continue that tradition like that yearly. The baba asked him to come back after two weeks and said he would go back to his village to get the ingredients for the ritual because they could not be got in Lagos

He didn't tell me the option he chose but said it was not the first option. He said, he'd gone to price his favourite car then and boasted to his fellow drunks at the bar how he was gonna be the first Otunba of Lagos from our state. LOL..

He said, before two weeks had lapsed, one day he got a call from our sister (younger than him) in Abuja, and on the phone, he could feel she very nervous. And she said, "boda mi, mo ma la ala buruku kan si yin" ( my brother, I had a bad dream about you). I dreamed that you went to do money ritual and died in the process or afterwards, I'm not which was it again, but he shaa died in the dream. He said, he was deflated and confused simultaneously as he had never told any soul about it, and was sure it was no just dream but a message through his sister.
He never went back to the baba and never told our sister about his botched money-ritual plan, unless he's planning on doing so on the morrow.

Thus, if you're not blessed with dreams do not doubt that there are so many out there who are. They may not even be Muslims. As a matter of fact, this same sister saw my father died about three months before his actual death. She said she cried for days after the dream and prayed about it but she knew our father was going to die anyway.

My dreams mean shiit, and prefer it that way, but I don't go around disputing people's dreams when they say they have got the gift of dream. Mine is, however powerful you are, even if you're shaytan, you can never overpower me in my dreams. I could do all sorts of unimaginable things therein. I'm like something else entirely whenever there is an attack, there's hardly ever one though.

We all have our individual differences, mentally, physically, socially, psychologically, and spiritually too. If we accept this fact we'll all be better for it.
mova.do19, I sight you
Interesting! If they want they can keep rejecting this part of nabuwa. They reject the hadith of 46th part of Nabuwa which is true dream and true vision. When i met a brother on fb a while back he said 'nabuwa ko nabuwa ni'. He rejects the hadith.

movado19, I sight you

This is heavy stuff! Wallahi, your brother is loved by Allah! Because if he wasn't he would have gone ahead to carry out those activities and God knows what would have become of him by now!
You are very right about everyone having their differences in different areas of life. Some people have more of somethings than others.
I weep for people who say dreams are nothing or isn't 46th part of Nubuwa, as Empiree stated. How many people have made light of their dreams and ended up either dead or have become a living-dead?
I swear by Allah, true dreams are indeed true.

I don't often dream but when I do, I don't ever take them as a joke.
I once dreamt where the messengers came to me hastily, as if they were running to catch up with me, and the leader said they were sent to deliver this message to me, which is that I must not accompany anyone who invites me to follow them to a funeral! They repeated it three times and then the leader said "we have delivered the message" and as they made to leave, I woke up. This was just before Fajr salat. I began to wonder why anyone would invite me to a funeral when I had none to attend, to begin with, or know anyone who was having one?
This kind of troubled me.
Later that morning, I remembered quite late that I had to go see a couple who were family friends (this was a prior appointment made days before but I forgot about it until that time when I remembered) and on getting there, their domestic help said "ah, oga and madam no dey, dem don common go funeral!!!! I asked her na wetin you talk? she repeated "dem go funeral". "dem wait for you taya and as dem no see you so, na im dem say make i give you the funeral address make you come join them for there" and she proceeded to extend the paper to me. I told her "no, keep the paper and make you tell oga and madam say me i dey go somewhere and no go fit make am to where dem dey and we go see again some other time."
Mind you, we had a prior appointment for me to come over to their home, but funeral was never in the picture. In fact, there wasn't any discussion of anyone's death before this day.

Ahhhhh! bolts of cold ran through my body, my people. I canceled all my appointments for the remainder of the day and went home to think about life and how Allah saved me from whatever was laying in wait for me! I couldn't praise him enough that day. They buzzed my phone in the afternoon that day but I never picked up neither did I answer the phone calls of anyone else for that day. It was a day meant for just me and Allah.
I cannot shout enough.

Brother Empiree, it was a clarion call indeed! I am still shaking as I recall it.
This happened 12-13 years ago.

Wow!! Subhanallah!! This is some incredible stuff coming from you, brother. This your experience is another big proof that dreams are a means of receiving messages and by extension, the 46th part of nabuwa as stated in the hadith referenced by Empiree. So why do some deny this? What is wrong with some people?

It is because they are sick in the head. You can present the Hadith to them with clear proof but they will still reject it. But when some people rejected ahadith of the return of Isa ibn Maryam (as) they called them kufar.

What's the difference between them?.

For some people, they would rather be in denial and ignorance than face the truth and reality. Everything that does not gel with their whims are rejected. Good luck to them!

Who are our brothers and sisters in ilorin here?. What's going on in that capital?.

I watched chilling video of sheikh Labeeb Agbaji's lecture complaining about lands being sold to Christian to build churches.

He mentioned many areas where Christians dominate or strive to dominate. He said it is the muslims selling them lands and that some Masajid are destroyed and churches are being built in place.

He said this is what Zumrat mumin of the past came to eradicate but current muslim generation are bringing back these idols. He lamented about rich greedy Muslims not doing anything to help fellow Muslims is the reason some muslims covert to CHRISTIANITY.

When I was in ilorin 20yrs ago I barely seen a church. Labeeb is not saying that they don't have the right to practice their religion he's saying that muslims are careless and this may lead to religious war decades from now. He said this is what those baba fought for and even went to jail for that like sheikh Okutagidi (ra).

What's wrong with ilorin?. I listened to Sheikh Adam a while back where he warned ilorin for being too fond of themselves due to their Islamic knowledge. He said they need to be careful not to lose their glory.

I was a wee shocked when a boy, who had only spent a few months in ilorin, said there are a handful of churches there. Not that I expected it to be church-free but I didn't think it would be so easy y to locate one. I spent a year in Dutse, Jigawa and I knew only 2 churches then. They were probably more then, but were the obvious ones.

I was discussing with my brother about two years ago, about what awon alfa aweri (alfa zumura) used to do and how we miss them. The ones I known all my life in Lagos are old now. Those alfas were the reasons Islam was able to spread its tentacles in South Western Nigeria, but their legacies are being besmirched by us. Do you know that back in the days Christians used to fear Muslims, so much that you'd hardly find a church near a masjid. All that was by virtue of what the aweri did to them and their churches. Recently, one imam even moaned about how the nasarah are now so ballsy as to build their churches close to masaajid in Lagos 'cos one was being built adjacent to his masjid. Its a common sight in Lagos these days
And with sectarianism so entrenched in our religion, it will be an utterly onerous, if not impossible, task to go back to our root. May Allah bless those babas.

Dreams are means trough which almighty Allah use to communicate to people, but of which dream is it, when you dream a dream that has meaning you would know. Allah so great even if it be for a 100 years you would still know the dream in details but you might miss some part but that memory is still in you Empiree must have known me before this post, well most of my dreams are messages to me but most times it's not good to say your messages to people the gift often get taken away from you in a way or two unless almighty Allah likes you then it would still stick by you.

They are so many other things but are best unsaid. It's good to come out sometimes to glorify Allah for what we have and don't have we all are blessed with a certain gift in one way or the other and to some it takes time to mature the gift out others piety some don't even have piety but are given gifts by the almighty but it's never easy.

To the incognitos all are blessed with a gift don't feel down because you don't observe for your self what Brother A is observing because you would like to, everyone is programed differently if you to witness what Brother A is witnessing you might not be able to take it physically and might mess with your physical as well as emotional state so we all are special one way or the other just be greatful to the Almighty for everything and anything

Like you see prophet Musa was programed to hear Allah directly no one else was if am not mistaken that's how he was if you choose to hear and you not configured to hear you might end up the way prophet Musa ended when he said he wants to see Allah because he can hear him he's not configured to see only hear.

Empiree, awon alfa nla ti lo faa. My father used to tell us about one alfa in Ebira land. He was called "Alfa oni tira". According to him, if you go to the alfa for prayer, his only prayers were Fatiha & Solatu Fatih. For example, if you went to him to complain about failing business he would say: you have told Allah your problem not him, may Allah bless your business Fatiha, Solatu fatih. And will bring baraka into that business. No matter the problem you took to him, even if it is village people, na Fatiha, Solatu fatih be the prayer and, in sha Allah, that problem would be over. The likes of this alfa are difficult to come by these days, and the few ones left are old and will leave us soon enough.

One imam said, "awon alfa wonyi aba aye je. Won ani ko si nkan ti onje batini, gbogbo nkan ni sohir." LOL ...

The next generation go suffer ehn. At least, most of us were born when sheikh Adam, Sambo and other alfa nla in Lagos were alive. But the coming generations go meet awon alfa who would give more weight to ahadith than the holy Quran. Even those ahadith would be approached superficially by them.. E don dey happen small small self.

Let me share a dream I had and how it came to pass virtually all my dreams comes to pass and i have gone to dream within a dream i.e in my dream I entered another person's dream in my dream the person was explaining his own dream and as he was explaining I found my self in that person dream so we all gifted one way or the other but your gift is always unique and most times it mature with time as well

I had applied for Nigerian Army SSC the last intake.

In this dream I had I saw myself with a guy and a man and the man was like your name is there saying to me and I asked then him i.e the boy he said no he should look for his name elsewhere as we were talking the guy was just restless looking for what he didn't loose, but I was still confused which name but I have already known it's the army because most times you know the meaning of your messages most times,

Then the next day I saw my self on full kaki and I was with my cousin kid bro, I was happy then I saw my aunt, she was not so happy to see me on the uniform, she no like army from time so I was like why is she frowning now me that's looking for job come see one now, then we were lined up heading to a bush then a caller called saying me I am SSC I should leave here that it's only Regulars that's going i.e those who went to NDA as a university cadet that I should leave but I saw those regulars frowning their face like they were taken to war or something and I ran away from the field then when I woke up I was like what's the meaning I still knew it has to do with the Army duo.

Lo and behold before you get into the military as an officer you would need a very strong connections and I have got none I no even sabi anybody but I never gave up.

The next week list came out for those called for interview I was scared to check because the Navy and Airforce dan give me heart ache and as I checked gbam my name came out immediately my mind went to my messages I was like wow they took 30 individuals for SSC and 1 from each LG from each state I was so lucky out of the thousands wow it was like my dreams were coming true, then we went for the interview where you screened you do exams and all then after medicals I was told I can't continue training if anyone went for SSC this year would know why most of us on medical were sent home and that my second message started making sense to me I would be sent home because the road forward would not favour me, with this I put one plus one to get two so you see.

They are so many other things but are best unsaid. It's good to come out sometimes to glorify Allah for what we have and don't have we all are blessed with a certain gift in one way or the other and to some it takes time to mature the gift out others piety some don't even have piety but are given gifts by the almighty but it's never easy.

This is so true that everyone is configured differently and could change or even get clearer as one gets older or more mature.

Thank God you dreamt and understood what the reality would entail had things not happened the way they did.

A woman once dreamt of her son being killed at the war front (NDA product) and all the sheiks interpreted her dream as exactly what it was if he went ahead into the war front. Serious marathon duas, back to back for three months or so were done over him and at the tail end before they were shipped off to war, they discovered something medically wrong with him and his best friend, so they ended up being disqualified. The thing pained these boys enh, no be small. The guys mum was the happiest person when she heard of this disqualification.
Weeks later, virtually everyone who was sent on that mission became RIP.
Please people, listed to your dreams and don't make jest of it or take it lightly.

That is their mode of operation. And we Muslims are peacefully snoring away. They first of all infiltrate by saying ah! christiani ati musulumi, all are one, we are the same now! Haaha! na so! They get you to relax and then slowly begin to inject their venom. A lot of muslims are just muslims by name or birth and not out of conviction. They berely satisfy the exoteric levels and then call it a day. Anything more than that leads to who asked you? Where was it written to do so?
I saw one on FB very recently who complained that saying LaIllaha Ilallah 70k is such a waste of time when people are busy with their lives! And that only a person who has nothing else to do would engage in such! Nauthu Billah.
Those are the people making up the new Muslim generation.

Exactly! We don't see these men of calibre anymore either because death has snatched them or the ones who are alive are totally scorned by the yuppy muslims, hence they also keep to themselves.
Reminds me of how Shams i Tabrizi bemoaned not finding anyone who would inherit his knowledge everywhere he went, untill he met Rumi and transfered his knowledge into him. A lot of people but how many are truly worthy?

Fear did not let the person say a word because they know I don't put up with silly arguments.

Yes quite true, people should listen to their dreams, it's a connection to your spiritual self, and if you have a dream you don't understand most dreams are not really understood you could go to someone who's Pius and a good person with knowledge tell and let them explain, most people don't know the meaning of their dreams and don't care to know, even the prophet used to ask his companions to relay their dreams so he could interpret them so you see even this is an acknowledgement that dream is part of inspiration from the almighty, some peoples gift might be dream interpretation if you good in it you could signify so if anyone has something the person could speak privately to you also.

And about having sensations as per zikir or solat, my self I get a little brush on my head when doing ablution light and tender rub like someone rubs my head the middle most of the time that place where you could see new born babies where theirs beat from and when I do Takbeer to start my Salat or when on Sajda a gentle rub on my head like someone is rubbing my head and for zikir sometimes a cool shock wave sent trough my spine and like a space within me all open.

But we all can't get same feelings we all different.

Wow! Your sensation during zikr and salat is interesting. And yes, very true that we all can't get the same feelings. I believe it's an opportunity to learn from others because if we were all the same, there would be nothing new to gain or learn.
May Allah continue to be with you and everyone, Amin.

YUNGCONCEPT11, nice one! You can recite it at any of these times:
During Tahajjud
Immediately after salat Fajr
Between salat Asr and Salat Maghrib

It's very nice if you can incorporate it into your daily wird. But if you can't do it daily for now, then once every week (preferably on Frida) should suffice.
Please as you read it, do study the wordings to really understand this beautiful dua and feel its impact as you recite.

You see the place where it says AFTER reciting the prayer, then close off by reciting 3x Suratul Inshirah (Q 94), 3x salutations upon Nabi Muhammad (SAW), after these two, you can now put your request.
So, there is:
1. Before
2. The main prayer
3. After
4. Then your request/wish/dua/niyyah/etc

EDIT: I would encourage you to incorporate at least 100X Istigfar with the Before.
