What lots of people do not realise is that after the character Arya lost her virginity, thousands of young girls who have idolized Arya since the beginning of the show will also be eager to lose theirs in similar manner. It's basic human psychology. Humans tend to imitate the actions of people they admire and since the brains of humans can't really differentiate between a character and the actor playing the role this makes it even more likely. Hence why I'm skeptical of the intentions of the writers for including that scene and directing it the way they did.
I find it funny how people say: Just watch the show for entertainment and stop pointing out stupid shit. These people don't have an iota of an idea about how movies and shows shape human behavior, especially that of young people. This isn't even debatable. It's a known fact in the fields of psychology and social science. And there have been few examples in recent times. In the movie The Program, there was a scene where a character was lying down on a yellow line in the middle of the road while cars drove past him at the sides. It served as a test of bravery. Then other characters joined him. After the movie was released there were cases of people dying and getting injured because they were trying to imitate what they saw the characters do in the movie. There is also the example of how the movie Deer Hunter inspired lots of people to play the deadly game of Russian Roulette because characters in the movie played the game.
Saying a movie is to be watched just for the entertainment value is just like saying a book should be read just for entertainment. I mean, that's what you'd expect a child to say, but an adult? Really? So a person should read Animal Farm just for entertainment and ignore the fact that the book was highlighting the flaws of the communist ideology? Similarly, so I should just watch GOT solely for entertainment purposes and ignore its glaring themes?
meforkene: From the thread I see people asking "what if Jon was a lady and Dany was a man".
Quick one: Let's look at the Greyjoys... Euron fought and is still fighting for the leadership of the Iron born. He actually wanted to eliminate Theon and Yara so they don't clamour for any claim to the throne.
To make it simple: Royalty is passed downwards and not sideways.
Don't forget to Enjoy the show.
not Targaryens, I think. male come first before female
The extreme leftist feminist propaganda has two aims: 1. Making women powerful, while simultaneously making men weaker and overly subordinate to them 2. Portraying men as nothing but corrupt, rapist, misogynist and tyrannical. GOT has been successfully in pushing this 2 agendas and I argued in my earlier post that it's becoming more obvious in the recent seasons.
Like you made mention of, all powerful male characters like Jeffrey, Ramsey, Little finger, Robert, The Khals etc have been portrayed as rapist, tyrannical, mysoginist or irredeemably corrupt. This is the aim of the propaganda; To portray men as violent, extremely dominant brutes with no moral compass. Hardly is any powerful male character portrayed as someone with good virtues. Ned and Rob fit this mould but both were killed off early. You also made mention of the fact that women couldn't be knights and that women were regarded as property. This fits perfectly in line with the aims of extreme leftist feminist propaganda: To represent the world as a Patriarchal environment that's anti-women.
In the extreme leftist feminist view, the world is an anti-female terrain controlled by powerful mysogynist men who regard women as their property. This is the view that was portrayed in the early seasons. Now what we are getting is what the extreme feminists regard as a solution to this world, that's why you have women given so much power at the expense of men. That's why women are portrayed as bad ass, strong and smart while men are portrayed as subordinate to women. The writers of GOT even take this agenda a step further by emasculating any male that is to have good virtues either by cutting off their balls, like Varys, Grey worm and Theon, making them disabled like Jaime and Bran, making them HALF-MEN like Tyrion or making them fat and physically weak like Sam. Like I said before, Jon is the only powerful character who possess good virtues but he is always demeaned for his height, not being man enough, his heritage or the fact that he knows nothing, and most importantly notice that he always says that he isn't interested in power.
If anyone thinks I'm just ranting crap then you really need to open your eyes and see. Movies & TV shows aren't just for entertainment purposes. They are also used as tools to shape the mass consciousness of the public & to push large scale agendas. This doesn't mean I don't enjoy GOT, of course I do, and I think it's one of the best shows ever made in terms of it's production quality, but all this doesn't prevent me from being able to identify conspicuous themes when I happen to spot them.
Please i don't understand, your assertion seems convincing but The series was adapted from a novel, do you mean to say GRRM was helping to further the agenda of leftist feminist?
The characters in the book were rightly represented as written in the books.
And these females you think are ruling now will be dealt with as the show goes on.
Not that clear-cut Jon would have still had the right claim because she is a direct child but, depending on the prevailing situation and personality of Danny, he may try to out of greed & contempt wrestle the title from her with the support & backings of the 'kingmakers' & opinion-leaders! And that was exactly what happened at Iron Island Theon was the rightful heir Yara became next when Theon ceded the claim to her But their uncle, the usurper, with his popularity and the backings of the disgruntled subjects toppled the rulership claim of both Yara & Theon I have a feeling he won't have done that if Theon had not ceded his claim to Yara The determinants of heirship in the descending order of importance: Pedigree (direct progeny) Gender Age Others
Gender comes first in Targaryens' law of succession, not pedigree.
Sasquatch: What if the Night King is actually headed to Kings Landing whilst his army is attacking Winterfell - grabbing himself an easy million + extra wights?
Hear me out...
The Night King isn’t the traditional villain he actually has won every battle he was in. His extremely calculative when it comes to his every move, no move seems to be unplanned.
Dany:
Dany had a vision of Kings Landing in complete ruin with snow...the place was deserted, not a single soul in sight. Before season 7 I use to think that Dany herself would destroy Kings Landing because she said that she is going to destroy the wheel..
Night King gets a dragon. Changes everything.
Bran:
Bran has a vision of a dragon flying over Kings Landing - again, I use to think that this was Dany until he got a dragon.
Bran said the Nights King can see where he is, what if unknowingly to Bran he can also access Brans memories thus revealing their plans?
One dragon vs two isn’t a risk I think the Night King would stupidly take. It makes no sense for him to put himself up against those odds.
Thoughts?
Also the night king was not with the white walkers showed at the end.
Jon is about 9 months older than Dany. Dany was conceived during the last stages of Robert's Rebellion. Her mother and Viserys were sent to Dragonstone after Rhaegar's death. The Sack of King's Landing then happened( so Aerys would still have been alive to conceive Dany) , which was succeded by the Siege of Storm's End being lifted by Ned Stark, who then left for the Tower of Joy, where he found Lyanna with Jon. Jon was conceived as at the Battle of the Bells, when Rhaegar departed the Tower of Joy leading to the Battle on the Trident. So Jon had a head start. This makes sense because only after the Siege of Storm's End was lifted could Stannis have sailed to Dragonstone and possibly captured the Targeryens, which then led to Rhaella and Viserys fleeing, which then occured the Storm of Daenerys's birth, hence Daenerys Stormborn.
Gmajor: Funniest line in this episode: men are easily manipulated.
I nearly laughed my ass off when Sansa made this statement. Sansa of all people is saying men are easily manipulated? If so, how many has she been able to manipulate? She was betrothed once, sold once and got married twice and yet, she had no effect on the lives of those men (by way of manipulation) so why would she even say that? If it was Cerci or Margery or Danny who made that statement, it would have been understandable.
She manipulated Baelish, when the old fool thought he could bed her.

Give me a break!
There is nothing the producers will do on the show they you won't attach to people doing the same or say brain washing.
Don't you know young people around you try to coping or act the way you behave? (i have young people around me who wants to be like me)
Don't you know you yourself copy consciously and unconsciously what famous people do?

The characters in the book were rightly represented as written in the books.
And these females you think are ruling now will be dealt with as the show goes on.
The characters in the book AREN'T RIGHTLY represented in the show. There has been A LOT of character modification. There is EVEN GREATER deviation from the book's plot. In the book Sansa isn't raped by Ramsay or anyone, neither was she married to him. Sansa is also Little finger's bastard daughter. In the book Khal drogo didn't rape Danny on their wedding night. He actually asked to have sex with her. In the book Brienne didn't rescue Sansa. Also Tyrion isn't the noble good man that he is portrayed to be in the show. There is no Melissandre and Grey worm love story as she is only 10 years old in the book. I could go on and on.
As the show progressed the plot grew more and more different from the book's plot, but with few similarities. But from season 5, the writers of the show finally said FUÇK YOU to the book and began to write what they liked. So all the current feminist tripe that we are getting in recent seasons IS SOLELY from the writers of the show and have nothing to do with the book. Besides, the book isn't even complete yet.
Well, at the time Ned supposedly found Lyanna just giving birth to Jon in Dorne, Rhaegar was already dead, Aerys was dead too and Viserys and Dany were already being smuggled to Essos. I always just assumed Dany was older by a few months at least.
During the Robert's rebellion,Rhaelle dat is Aery's wife jus got pregnant with dany n Aery's sent them off with visery to stay at dragonstone but Jon was born during the rebellion itself which was why Ned took him bak to winterfell after d war as his bastard.Jon is Older.

The show is rated 18+. So who are the young people being influenced?

This is just people being stupid. Reminds me of when we watched Spiderman as kids and honestly thought being bitten by a spider would give us powers. Or the times we tried to pull off those ridiculous stunts in Kung-fu fantasy movies.

There's a lesson to be found in all forms of art and literature but that doesn't mean I have to strain my brain all the time. If I want to read Animal Farm like a folktale, I damn well have the right to. Same applies if I just want to be entertained by the epic fantasy of GOT
She manipulated Baelish, when the old fool thought he could bed her.
Bealish played himself. He didn't want to sleep with her, he wanted to marry her to claim the north and then the 7 kingdom and Bealish's death was orchestrated by Bran. If Bealish wanted to fúck Sansa he could have camped her somewhere after the death of Joffrey considering the fact that Sansa was accused and wanted for treason he could have turned her to his sex slave and no one would know about it

You sure?
Yeah she stopped trusting Baelish after LF MANIPULATED her to marry the Psycho Hobbit. She and Arya saw through his plans because of Bran (although this is implied rather than shown). Baelish is one of the cleverest on the books or show. It's a shame they gave him such a weak, meaningless death.

You mentioned the movie The Program. I want to ask a question. Did the makers of the movie act out that scene you described simply because they wanted to make people who watch it go out on the road and test their bravery? Or was it just a scene in the general movie? Was it a ploy to use psychology and get into people's mind and kill them? We're they trying to pass a message subconsciously to the audience? That means they are terrorists right?... Right!
Bro not all movies/series have hidden messages. Kpomkpi

Jon is the heir because he's a man. Men come in line of succession first before women.
He's not the rightful heir because he's a man. He's the heir because his father was the rightful heir and now that he is dead who do you think would be his heir, his sister or his son? It's that simple. I don't know why you guys are trying to make it look complicated.
Please i don't understand, your assertion seems convincing but The series was adapted from a novel, do you mean to say GRRM was helping to further the agenda of leftist feminist?

Jon isn't the heir primarily because he is a man. He is the heir because he is the last remaining child of the former heir in a situation where no other Targaryen is alive but the sister of the heir. Even if Jon was a woman he'd have a greater claim to the throne than Danny. The children of Rhaeger whether male or female come first in the line of succession before Danny.
Even if Danny was a male Jon would still have a greater claim to the throne.
