Thanks.. All men have unique and supernatural talent, i guess cooking is part of mine. I grew up in a home where men carry out most of the activities in the house including cooking.While growing up I was so glue to my Mama.

It shows. My youngest son is already a better and accomplished stew maker than his 2 elder brothers who prefer eating to cooking. Told them, they will suffer for it some day. He started by cutting onions and veggies for me while his sister claims she can't stand onions.

From your comment, i tried to capture what you're going through. As a mother it hurt to see some children not doing what you want them to, since you already have one doing all that in the kitchen is even better than not having anyone to assist you doing the cooking. One thing you have to do, is to motivate him and make him see that knowing how to cook can put food on his table in the future in terms of money.

Respect to that your child assisting you in the kitchen, I started like that.

Say this to your son to keep in mind, probably if he decided to carry on with the cooking stuff, nothing like having education and also having a skill on something else.

I had two major project last year.

1.Engagement party and wedding reception,I was called to join hands with the event planner to organise the event and my work was to set the table.

2. Another project I had last year was to design a table and also prepare breakfast for 20 people in a church officers meeting , Though i took like 5 of their members to assist.

Both project wasn't free, I was paid. Then I was just laughing telling them that am not perfect or a professional is just something I learnt on my own, they said to me someone directed them to me.lol

Then as a mother, try not to discriminate or love that particular child more than the others,though sometimes it do show in mothers behaviour, just carry everybody along because they won't stay in your apartment for long, they gonna have theirs, then The once that didn't listen will understand what you were trying to do for them.

A child that listen to the voice of his/her parents won't and will never regret it in life. Typed this from experience
