The more management of coys continue to approach the banks for funds, I am afraid they will continue to work and slave for the banks unless the shareholders are ready to support the business with loans and equity. I also believe that management should get innovative by floating CPs or preference shares that shareholders can subscribe to instead of approaching the banks all the time for cash support. Majority of shareholders will prefer to give their cash to coys with returns in the region of 18% instead of the 25 to 35% from the banks in form of loans and overdrafts pluto09: 3 Likes |

rebekah2011: i think shareholders are wise nowadays, the dmemory of wapco/lafarage was a bitter one for investors. The company always issue right shares, CP and today, there is nothing to show for it rather than mother optimism no share price appreciations,no improvement in fundamental ,technical and sentimental analyses the company takes a backward journey everyday the way dz company task shellholders, one would think they were going to dethrone dangote cement. we hope the company will begin to reward investors in no distance future, especially from the merger n acquisition of ashaka cement comp 1 Like |

Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by DaV8King(m): 7:13pm On Apr 26, 2019 |
longlife20: True. But there are buts. Admin and distribution expenses outgrew revenue and need controlling. This could partly be due to an aging but experienced workforce, indicated by growing pension and retirement obligations. The >100 % other income growth may not be repeated Good that borrowing levels dropped by more than N 1 billion YoY I look forward to their FY result. P.E ratio of 4.12 is trying to tell a loud FA story |

http://www.nse.com.ng/Financial_NewsDocs/25929_OKOMU_OIL_PALM_PLC._FINANCIAL_STATEMENTS_APRIL_2019.pdf Okomu disappoint me!! EPS crashed from 364 to 106. And to think I was warned on this very board by my seniors about companies that relied on biological assets It is well. As we go out to wash the Friday with a small part of Fidelity dividend/DFM profit, remember to enjoy responsibly. A lovely weekend to us all and remember to pay your tithes o. |

Onuokwu: State Bank of India(SBI) has a long standing stake in the bank bro, even me shock when I see am. Apparently it started when Indo Nigerian Merchant Bank (INMB) was one of the banks that merged to form the present Sterling Bank. They hold approx 2.55 billion units or about 9% of the bank. Their board rep is Mr. Sujit Varma. Check out SBI here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/State_Bank_of_India 1 Like |

DaV8King: That's not new investment. Its been there since after consolidation of Mid 2000s and has hardly changed in volume. Check successive annual reports. People are suggesting that there is new and sustained stock purchases by some Indian investors and i strongly doubt this. |
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by DaV8King(m): 10:14pm On Apr 26, 2019 |
Onuokwu: Well I guess it's to do a history check as you suggest and see if the position has changed at all. |
