Kai, mathematics is so sexy Anyway, that's good advice. I think the main thing with these investments is to know there is no one best answer. You have to build your portfolio based on your needs and risk you're willing to take. On average, is it safe to assume EuroBonds are 8% p/a on average? RealityShot: 1 Like |

Thanks everyone for the contribution. The calculation was of great help between Eurobonds and Treasury bills, i will wait for the next cycle of EuroBonds but i am not sure when i can buy or which banks i can buy from. After reading this post https://www.nairaland.com/5160431/nigeria-economy-may-slip-back and the warnings from CBN, personally i think the Nigerian govt n CBN is not practicing the law of economic demand and supply and the Nigerian economy is not generating enough forex to sustain the need for trade and business. The stability of the forex in Nigeria is a ticking time bomb and for me i cannot imagine losing half of the intended capital (£45,000) within a second due to default by the CBN in forex intervention or a possible devaluation. I will concentrate on rolling over my current TB investments that way i dont need new funds in TB. Anyone with useful info on EuroBonds sale could pls update us. Thanks |

ahiboilandgas:Oboy! You were really unlucky o. You did it when Naira was crashing really bad?. If you had imported goods with it that period, you would have made a killing. On that same period, I turned ₦15,000,000 to ₦47,000,000 4 Likes |

ahiboilandgas:Well, wouldn't want to mention the item for personal reasons. But my ₦15,000,000 gave me roughly $75,000. I got the item at bulk price of $100 each and bulk ship at $10 per item. I sold them here in naija around 68k - 70k each when dollar was almost ₦500. 1 Like 2 Shares |

ahiboilandgas: Sorry man. Thats tough. I think foreign institutional investors get special treatment...perhaps a special forex window that allows them to convert their investments back to dollar at a rate they agreed on even prior to bringing their investments to Nigeria....something like a forex futures contract For the average investor, you're at the mercy of the CBN and the nigerian exchange rate My opinion sha 2 Likes |

Nnamz:take it easy sir. This is like asking Coca-Cola for the 8th ingredient for coke! Or asking Heineken for the exact baking/frying formula for their barley. In this Nigeria, once a business goes public, copy copy cats kill it in one year tops! Let him keep his secret. When he reaches Dangote level, he can't hide it anymore. Let's wait. Many MILLIONAIRES were made in the last recession and all where traders. Remember some bought palm oil at N6000 and sold them at N18000+ (with please) Lol 10 Likes |
