A Pastor identified on Twitter as @DaveGass3 has announced that he has quit being a Christian after not witnessing anything supernatural for 20 years. According to the Pastor, he took the decision to quit being a Christian after watching people die of cancer, did funerals for 47 people from the age of 4 to 96 and prayed in faith with hundreds of people for healing to no avail. According to him, God didn't answer his prayers.

There is something he definitely wasn't doing right, besides did he have the call to lead a church genuinely from God? The word of God is surely working for other people. He better search himself. Bible had warned that we are blessed with different spiritual gifts, he didn't find out where he should belong, he just went to head a church.

you know so much about the church business. Everything is scam. They'll boast of healing the sick and bla bla bla, but if you get close to them, you'll see the deceit. At the end, they'll shift the blame on you that you're not doing something right or your faith isn't enough or it's not God's time yet. 5000 people will attend service. Cripples, amputees, the blind. What do u mean by "move of God"? U mean that tingling sensation u feel on your neck when the pastor is lying to u and telling u the spirit is present in the congregation and wants to touch someone? And then one overzealous worshipper, usually female, starts shrieking or crying and flailing and saying she has been held captive by the Holy Ghost? And then the others around, not wanting to be outdone, start writhing and screaming too? U mean that move of "God"?

Or perhaps u mean that one time someone felt he had a voice telling him to do something one way and when he did it, it worked. Then he screams that it was God that told him to do it while conveniently forgetting the countless other times he had heard the same voice tell him to do something and he did it but it didn't work out. U mean that kind of move of "God"?

They are aware of the bad reputation and irrationality of religion hence they distance themselves from the word "religion." Do you know what the man meant by saying that those who benefitted from religion are those followers that don't take it seriously?

I guess you did not read my msg well otherwise you would have seen where I stated that many believers have experienced the move of God right in their homes, not church alone, ok? Why do you ponder on speaking in tongues? Even the devil can speak in demonic tongues, that's why a Christian needs the spirit of God and discernment, all of which are gifs that God gives freely. Did the pastor in the right-up complain about speaking in tongues? No! He said he experienced nothing, no healing when he prayed for people, etc etc. I am talking about move of God in healing, breakthroughs, deliverances, gifts of visions, leadings from the holy spirit, where he speaks to you to direct you, etc. If that pastor had sense, he would not have waited for 40yrs, before quitting, he would have quit since from pastoral work, because he was not prepared, and was running a wrong course. That's why I stated earlier that he should have inquired and hear from God, and know where he should fit in. You got ur opinions, ok?
