The story of God's Grace

I took my first IELTS early last year. I scored 8.5, 6.5, 7,7.5 LRWS- BC
I wrote a second time and scored 7.5, 9.0,7,7.5 LRWS - IDP. Then they were using speakers and it wasn't clear. I even complained after the test but nothing was done. Then the 3rd 8.5, 7.5,6.5,7.5 - IDP. I applied for an EOR but it came out negative. Then the 4th 8.5,8.5,6.5,8.0 LRWS - IDP. I applied for an EOR again but it came out negative. Then the 5th, I missed this one because my passport was with an embassy, I wanted to reschedule but BC chop witch with the excuse that the time was short angry. Then the 6th 9,7.5,5.5,7.5 LRWS-BC. I was so embarrassed. How can a freelance writer have a score like this in writing. I never told anyone about my score except my friend who encouraged me. I later realized my mistake; We were asked to write a letter to a colleague, I wrote a semi-formal formal letter instead of an informal letter. I learnt my lesson. Then the 7th, 8.5,8.5,6.5,8.0 - LRWS- IDP. I was pained because I really prepared for the writing. A voice within me kept on telling me to remark but I was just giving excuses. One day, something happened that made me cry to the extent of asking myself what was holding me back in this country . I downloaded the eor form and was completing it with tears in my eyes. I made a mistake and circled reading instead of writing. I tried reprinting the form but my printer stopped working. I decided to circle both reading and writing after which I made the necessary payment and submitted.
On 24th of April, I got an email to come and pick up my trf. I contacted IDP and requested that they courier it to my address. I later got an email requesting that I pay for the courier service, and also sign and complete the fund refund form. I was confused, I contacted them again and ask how long it will take for me to get the result and they said between 5-10 working days. How do they expect me to wait that long? The following day being the 25th of April, I traveled to the state were I took the exam (I actually left before daybreak). When I got the IDP office, I was told that there was a mixup somewhere and my result was sent to Port Harcourt . Why can't my village people just let me be.
Meanwhile, I had already registered for another test in Kano with IDP. I traveled back to my base to prepare for my journey to Kano the following day. While on my way to Kano on the 26th, I got a call from IDP to come for my result. I told the lady that I can't it make and I can't wait for their "5-10 working days" to get my result. She said I should send an email to that effect to IDP and copy her so that she can follow it up. She promised to courier the result that day ensuring me that I was going to get it the following day. I made the payment - N5450 .
Nevertheless, I took the exam in Kano and went back to my base on the 27th hoping to see my new IELTS score, Unfortunately, the result was not delivered hmmmm.
Fast forward to Monday, around few minutes to 2:00, I got a call that a package was just delivered from DHL, omo, with the speed of light, I rushed and collected the package and went into my car. I prayed and opened it, the unbelievable scores were just staring at me LRWS- 8.5, 9,7,8. I couldn't control the tears from my eyes, I lifted my hands and praised God. He has given me a testimony, an unbelievable one. Please join me in praising him for he has done so very much for me ❤️❤️. Swimming in the pool with 475. Hoping to get it soon. Please is there a post-ITA group?

Congratulations!!! So happy for you

*TO MY TESTIMONY*
I've been following this thread since 2016 when Hubby's friend came by and told us about EE...I wasn't aware of the magic score,so I just sat for my 1st IELTS (B.C) and scored LRWS: 8.5,6.5,7.5,6.5.I was so happy until I posted my result here and started seeing comments like 'may the latter be better... Ah! Kilo sele??...I just jejely referred myself to page 1...And the scales in my eye started falling off o...I need a minimum of 8777 in IELTS and 3yrs work experience)..Na so I just packed my books for one corner till 2019 when I'm qualified.

Fast forward to January 19,2019,
2nd IELTS (B.C) - LRWS: 8,7,6.5,8 (EOR unchanged). I was so devastated. I felt I wrote well...While wallowing in my misery, I pm'ed @wasseynewest to add me to his ielts WhatsApp tutorial group and @johnnybravo also volunteered to tutor me.
Kai,these guys are real pros. They gave their all.Wassey broke down essay types and approach into pieces and marked our essays. When he's done tutoring u,u'll become a born again in writing.

Am a newbie but can tell you this for free: The thread is for everyone as far as I know. People here are selfless and would've answered your question if they knew the answer. It's better to get the right answer than any answer that you'll work with and later regret. My 1 cent. As for me I can never answer a question I don't know and mislead the poster. I'd rather keep my mouth shut in this case fingers off the keyboard. Peace!

What certificate are you trying to assess? Also, the provinces are not the ones that assess certificates. There are five agencies approved to do this. Please check page 1 for ECA information. Or post a detailed question here.

nkechima:
Thanks a bunch @joo2018. The issue with my certificate is, getting assessed. I have done mail to almost all the provinces across Canada and no response from them.

Please don't mind all the typo errors in the above message. I'm an average English speaker and I understand that i still have to write English Test in other to be fully integrated into whole process.

Hi guys. I need proper guidance.this is my profile.
1. I'm 34, married with 2 kids, masters degree in the UK. 4 years working experience with Guinness as a facility co-ordinator. I'm an entrepreneur now and my business has been very good since 2017.
2. My husband and I don't live together. Let's just say we have been separated for 2 years. Still married legally but we don't talk.
3. He is uneducated.
4. I have always taken care of everything financially, from school fees to bills without him(even when we were on good terms) . There's proof of this.
Now my main concern is this:
1. I don't plan on applying with him for the express entry program because this would mean increase my proof of funds. So do I just get his consent for the kids?
2. Do I enter the pool using my previous work experience or use entrepreneurship?

1. If you have not started divorce proceedings, you can apply with husband unaccompanied. It basically means, you are still married but your husband is not going with you.

2. Enter the pool with your 4 years work experience. However still include your business in your personal history post ITA.

Please how do i go about a 10% gift deed?

mosky47:

YOU ASKED FOR IT:

FULL GIST

We are exceedingly grateful to God. I have tasted and known that He makes all things beautiful in His time.

I first heard about Express Entry in the 2nd week of April 2018, and decided to give it a try. After simulating scores with all possible IELTS score, I registered for IELTS. Although I’m not 47 as my moniker might suggest, I recently discovered I’m not getting any younger.
IELTS May 12th: LRWS 9,7,7,7.5
Spouse IELTS: LRWS 7,8,7,8
ECA processing for spouse and myself started just before my IELTS. Within 2 months, everything was out.
CRS- 444
ITA- 25th July (cut-off was 441)

At this point, I must state that there’s an unwritten rule that people who find it easy pre-ITA have a difficult ride afterwards. But we said 'it’s not our portion.' It was amazing that within 3 months and a few days of hearing about EE, we had gotten ITA. IELTS one-touch for both of us. ECA also was fast. My spouse got hers out within one month, mine was slightly delayed but still came out within 6 weeks.

Medicals, PCC, Reference were smooth too. In fact for our PR application photo, we all wore the same fabric, thinking that the VOs will be happy and will give us PPR quickly because we were a happy family…..lol. For where?
POF was via (notarized) gift deed.

AOR: 9/11 (September 11th).

BIL/MEP came October 5th and we captured in Abuja on the 10th. So smooth too. Everything was done within 30 mins or so (I shared it in an earlier thread). We live outside Abuja and had to fly to Abuja and return same day. We had ample time in between as the biometrics finished far earlier than we anticipated, so we just moved to the movie theatre on another floor of the same building and saw one dry movie- the real Yoruba demons.

Then the wait began. Now, I must let you know that you have never seen someone who worries and is as anxious as my spouse, I can bet wink. We saw @Kwadoo testify within 3 weeks (the fastest we had seen at that time); also @mepconsultant and how he was accused of fabricating his story. We tapped into his testimony that our miracle will be such that people would doubt its validity.

Me oh, I just knew that it would come within 6 months, and since I was not ready to travel until after mid-2019, I wasn’t worried at all. It was argued here that the job mail was for those who were sent to London and everybody was praying against London VO. Every 10 mins (an exaggeration), my wife would ask if I had gotten that mail. I said ‘na wah oh’. Until October 23rd, true true that mail came and our status changed to IP1. (That was exactly 6 months to our PPR). I was scared to tell her. Well, after telling her we did a little research and made some calls and found that the mail was not only for London. We heard Accra people got it too, and someone whose VO was Ottawa also said he got it, so we debunked the relevance of the mail. Then the prayer point changed to let it not be Accra. I said I thought it was London we were praying against. She said the problem with London is that they stayed up to the full 6 months, but Accra may not get for like 1 year. What? That means we were praying wrongly all along.

To cut the long story short, after one of those long calls to CIC, we found out that we were in Accra visa office. Depression set in. The mood in the house changed for days to weeks, and alternated with some episodes of normal mood. I ordered for GCMS notes exactly a month to our completed 6 months. My thought was that nothing had been done on our application. I knew it had not been touched, and there was nothing the GCMS note would tell us. I wanted to do it close to the 6 months mark, so when preparing the note, the VO will see that everything is okay and possibly send us a PPR.

Well, the note arrived on March 9th, and while we just finished going through the notes, we saw from the AVO group that people were getting ADRs. About 2 hours later, our ADR arrived. We were overjoyed. Submitted them on the 12th of March. More ups and downs until we saw many people in AVO getting PPRs. We were so happy. Later the mood changed, when we saw November AORs getting PPR from AVO while many August and September were untouched. ‘They have forgotten us. We may have to wait till January-April 2020’…..lol. shocked

I emailed Ralph about a week after the 6 months mark, and he responded that Eligibility Pass was recommended. It seemed like a breakthrough.

When we moved to IP2 on the 18th of April, that was when we celebrated the PPR, because Accra is pretty predictable at this stage. IP2 today and PPR tomorrow. The IP2 took away the PPR excitement when it finally came. So unfortunately for us, Friday and Monday were public holidays and so we had to wait till Tuesday. Lo and behold, before 9am Nigerian time, I saw an email of donotreply and knew it was PPR.
Behold, PPR: April 23rd (yesterday)

I am exceedingly grateful to God for this. I dedicate this PPR to the God I serve. My second dedication goes to my wife, who is now a proud owner of PPR…lol. At a time she was worried that I was not worried, but all her efforts especially her contacts and information were vital and invaluable. She can push anybody to succeed. And to everyone who has contributed here, and those who make this group lively.

For those who are still waiting for theirs or are at different stages, don’t worry, it will be fine. Trust me.

Finally, I no dey worry, I no dey worry but every morning for the past 6 months, I woke up with a voice telling me that ‘today’ was my day….. grin. Nothing dey happen for Accra, nothing dey happen for Accra, but I checked my profile a minimum of 5 times per day all these months, thinking my case would be different and I didn’t want to hear that PPR was sent to my spam 10 days ago without me knowing. I checked as often as possible; call it being meticulous, call it being anxious, but yesterday PPR came…… Signs out.
