They are quite looking good!! From history the team we expect little/ nothing from always perform beyond expectations! |

Ask yourself this question: how come that the usually ruthless Liverpool suddenly became goal shy? What happened Bros, that didn't happen by accident. And it wasn't by luck either. It was a technical masterpiece by the masters of the game. O pari forgiveness: 2 Likes |

Icon79: Oga! Liverpool outshined, outplayed, outperformed and dominated Barcelona. What is the difference between the first goal and the one Mane missed? Same senerio and Mane was even in a better position but that is football for you. Barcelona's hands were tied in all those moments Liverpool created chances but Liverpool scuttled them all. Nothing masterpiece about Barcelona's game today. 2 Likes |

tbaba1234: Even that AYC team as it is cannot have a disgraceful outing. That team may just lack creativity upfront but it is a very compact team that is hard to beat. They never lost any game from open play. Conceding only 1 goal all the through the tournament. And some of you will be shocked to find out that some of those Home boys that played the AYC will be better than some of those Foreign pros we have been mentioning. I am not skewed towards foreign pros, foreign born or home based. I am for the best player for every position irrespective of where u were born or where u play. |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by tbaba1234: 5:04am On May 02, 2019 |
Icon4s: The team that played the AYC was horrendous. There is no doubt that you can find quality on the local scene at under 20 level but most of the quality Nigerian players find their way abroad sooner or later and too many players engage in age-cheating. Apart from Ozornwafor, none of the other guys from the local scene that played the AYC excite me. That said, it is possible that there will be some breakout players at the WC At the end of the day, i think Aigbogun might end up with a decent side capable of doing well especially with the talents joining the team. |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by Icon4s(m): 5:17am On May 02, 2019 |
tbaba1234: Horrendous? Tell me which team dominated them in all 5 games they played. They even outplayed Mali (eventual winners) that we lost to in the semi-final. Like I said before what the team needs is creativity in the Midfield and in the more advanced positions. That team is not as bad as some of guys are tagging them to be. Remember also the terrible pitches in Niger. Mark my words, some of those Foreign based Players will not be able to break into that team. And some of the foreign based/foreign borns that may make it through may not break into the team's starting 11. If you tell me the Nigerian league lacks quality players who are 24/25 and above of course I will agree. But not U20 players. |

Rohr interview by @Osasuo Will @Uzohof still be the @NGSuperEagles goalkeeper in Egypt? “I have sent Enrico Pionetti, my goalkeeper trainer, to @anorthosisfc, to work on him. At the moment, it’s not, for now, a question of him being number one but of his being one of our three goalkeepers for the AFCON.” Is @mikel_john_obi returning to the @NGSuperEagles, for his last AFCON? “This is the question that I and my team will resolve. I will soon go to see him at @Boro. There are many things to consider but I respect him & what he has done for Nigeria. He remains an important player.” “He has been away from the team for a year but we qualified for the AFCON without him. His absence, as our captain, has been evident. But he has had to deal with a range of issues, after the World Cup in Russia.” Will @Eng_Villarreal’s Samuel Chukwueze, who has been in great form in @LaLiga, be a starter for @NGSuperEagles at the @CAF_Online AFCON? “You seem to know all my present challenges,” Rohr laughs. “He is a great talent and I would like him in my team, although I don’t know if he will be an immediate starter. The challenge, of course, is that he is also wanted for Nigeria’s @fifau20 team going to Poland... “... I have had a chat with the coach of Villarreal and they don’t want him to exhaust himself at the U-20 WC and the AFCON, so they want him to choose one tournament. We shall see how best we can manage this situation. But no doubt, he’s a talent for my team.” 1 Like |

Earthquake3: Where did you get that from? Valverde is brilliant. Where I knew Valverde was special was when Manchester City signed Laporte. Laporte used to play for Valverde at Bilbao. Guardiola signed Laporte and without a full training session at City, he started for the team and did well. For a player to walk into Manchester City and just start, it shows the training he got was close to that of what we had at Manchester City. That was when it occurred to me that Valverde was a brilliant tactical mind that is so underrated. 1 Like |

forgiveness: Rubbish for me. Barcelona allowed Liverpool more time on the ball and conceded territory only because they were winning. Before Barca went in front was Liverpoo' dominating'? You think if Liverpool were in front Barca would have played the same way? Never mind Messi, Barca also won the game tactically. This will be proven further in Anfield. Having said that, you cant fault Livepoo's endeavour. ...the usual headless chicken gen-gen pressing LOL 2 Likes |

TheGoodJoe: Laporte was signed from Valverde's Bilbao means Valverde is brilliant What logic!!! Can you tell me the style of football Barca plays, their pressing style and defensive shape If you watched Liverpool yesterday, they dominated Barca at Camp Nou,(an aberration!) It was Messi's magic that turned the tie in Barca's favour The same template has been repeated in Barca 's league matches |

Earthquake3:Some Barca fans just don't like him because he doesn't play the Barca way. Dude is a great tactician. I feel like Unai Emery - he tends to set up his team based on the opponents instead of playing his way. This isn't always a bad thing but Barca is a big club. It's why he's seen as underwhelming at times. 3 Likes 1 Share |

Later one EPL fan boy aka Komoekn will open his mouth wide and say EPL is the best. If you tell him La Liga is better he will say "its debatable" , he will say 4 EPL teams have been in the last 8 of the last 5 CL seasons forgetting that almost none out of that number never wins the CL. Likewise getting knocked out by the real Big boys at that stage ... Imagine Barcelona walloped Man U home and away. The same Barca flogged Liverpool like a kid last night. If it were the other way, right now he would have been on this thread taunting everyone here. When we tell them to remove their nose from English football ass and watch other leagues, No! They won't. They rather live in delusions Watch how Ajax will complete their football tutorials to Spurs in Amsterdam next week. EPL is truly the farmers league 1 Like |
