far as I can tell,CR7 has 2 things Messi can never get till he retires: 1) 3 times consecutive winnings of UCL and 2) lifting a national team euro 2016
until he does these 2 things,I can never regard him as a GOAT where Ronaldo is.

It's clear the OP is a Barca fan. It's only Ronaldo that scores tap-ins, Messi doesn't. The one he scored yesterday is a world class rebound, not a tap in, abi?
Apart from that free kick there was nothing exceptional about Yesterday's game. If Salah and Mane buried their chances, you won't be here typing trash.
Ajax to win UCL. Save this comment.
that's what I told someone, you people would keep supporting Barca's opponents until Messi lifts this UCL trophy.

Face it, Liverpool was tactically defeated. Allowing Liverpool hold the ball was part of the plan. Their power lies in counter attacks. Let them have possession and they wouldn't know what to do with it.

You forgot that Dembele missed a sitter too. Even Vidal had a great chance to score.

Foolish opinion. It is actually Barcelona that is overhyped without messi. Take away messi what you have is alaves.

Liverpool have lost just one league match this season, they have more points in their league than Barcelona have at la liga. They haven't lost at home in 2 years....

Yesterday, the match was 50:50...Liverpool had more possession, more shots more than Barcelona...Messi was the difference. If messi was injured or salah and mane buried their chances, would you be typing this nonsense today?

Since the free kick was exceptional, Messi was exceptional since the goal buried the tie.

And when last did Ronaldo score a free kick?

In a much he cannot replicate the performance he has in Barca with another Team...He is not everything as per football.
Let him perform what he's doing with Barca in Argentina jersey...then I will say he's the best...till then I regard C.Ronaldo as the best...He won Euro cup for his country and He has won UCL 3 times Back to back...

Having watched the first kegs of the Champions League semi finals, some lessons have been learned. Below are 5 things we learned from the Champions League:

1 Messi Is Everything: From telling Barcelona fans at the Camp Nou to stop whistling Coutinho to putting the referee under control and from scoring magical goals to creating play, Messi is everything as he is a magician, scorer, creator, and leader.

Messi is not everything. if messi is everything, why not do everything for argentina.Barca has good players. Without Barca, messi cannot do much.

2 Liverpool Are Overhyped: Liverpool are a good team but they are not great. To be a great team, you must win trophies yet Liverpool have no trophies in decades. They constantly get close but they lose all. Their players are overhyped as well. If you have not faced Messi the way Pique and Co have faced Ronaldo, you should be humble.
They are not overhyped. Epl is nemesis of liverpool. Epl is rough league. Most players pick injury. Star players are not protected like la liga. If Messi plays in EPL,he may not have fracture but will get serious injury within 6 months.

3 Premiership Is Behind La Liga: There were four Premiership teams in the quarter finals but none will be in the final as Barcelona are poised to eliminate Liverpool and Ajax are to do the same to Tottenham. From Barcelona serving up a masterclass against Manchester United to winning Liverpool by 3 goals to nil, La Liga proves better than the Premiership.

No. Different leagues, different styles. Most epl players pick injury because league is too rough like Italian league. For top teams in epl in the next 2 years, star players must be protected. Mind you luiz suarex left liverpool because he felt was not protected.
4 Messi To Win Ballon d'Or: It is Messi turn to win the Ballon d'Or this season. And even if he doesn't win the Champions League, he has done enough this season to win it.
If Messi fails to win UEFA Champion league,he should forget Ballon d'or or he must win COPA America.

5 Barcelona Are Effective: Barcelona are without a loss this season in the Champions League and this proves their effectiveness.

Yes.I agree 100%.

This in some way supports what the OP said. As a matter of fact, that was his very first point.

Liverpool have lost just one league match this season, they have more points in their league than Barcelona have at la liga. They haven't lost at home in 2 years....
Yes, they are efficient in English teams but they met their ‘Spanish Waterloo’. The captain of a national football team and one for a high school football team are both captains, but one is superior.

Yesterday, the match was 50:50...Liverpool had more possession, more shots more than Barcelona...Messi was the difference. If messi was injured or salah and mane buried their chances, would you be typing this nonsense today?
Ball possession and strategy are different things entirely. Barcelona played a counter attacking game while Liverpool played possession. Strategy is useless when there is no conversion. Secondly, did you also consider the chances that Messi, Coutinho and Dembele’s (last minute) could have buried? Liverpool did not have the monopoly of ‘near scores’.

Seun should do something so that nairalanders can be able to delete foolish threads by themselves
I agree.

just 2? Lol. Messi might just win the Copa America this year and this your post would then look stupid.

Ronaldo that cannot even outscore a 36 year old Fabio Quagliarella in Serie A. It took him 100+ games more than Messi to score 600 goals, despite the fact that Messi is both playmaker and goalscorer while Ronaldo is just a goal scorer.

Anyway, I can count many things that Messi has done that Ronaldo would never get. Here are just a few examples.

1) Scoring up to 91 goals in a calendar year.
2) Winning the treble twice (would be a treble of trebles at the end of this season).
3) Winning the golden ball in a world cup.
4) Playing in the final of a world cup.
5) Winning best player award more than once in 9 seasons of La Liga (Messi won 7/9, Ronaldo 1/9).

Face it, they aren't on the same level. It's has been media scam all along.

How is that the same Bayern? First of all, that was 6 years ago (eons of years ago in football). Secondly, that was the Jupp Hyneckes Bayern Munich, the team beaten by Looserpool doesn't even have the same coach.

deep down you know Barca would win this UCL. You can feel it in your bones, and you hate the feeling. So you are desperately hoping they lose. Man Utd, Madrid and Juve have been kicked out so you are reduced to supporting Liverpool.

In the final you'd go on to support Ajax and then have to endure posts and pics of Messi lifting the trophy. Sad season to be you.
