How is that the same Bayern? First of all, that was 6 years ago (eons of years ago in football). Secondly, that was the Jupp Hyneckes Bayern Munich, the team beaten by Looserpool doesn't even have the same coach.

Na wao for some people shocked

don't mind him, desperately clutching straw. He forgot that Barca knocked out the same Bayern seasons later on their way to win the 2015 UCL.

Foolish opinion. It is actually Barcelona that is overhyped without messi. Take away messi what you have is alaves.

Liverpool have lost just one league match this season, they have more points in their league than Barcelona have at la liga. They haven't lost at home in 2 years....

Yesterday, the match was 50:50...Liverpool had more possession, more shots more than Barcelona...Messi was the difference. If messi was injured or salah and mane buried their chances, would you be typing this nonsense today?

Seun should do something so that nairalanders can be able to delete foolish threads by themselves.

So you are conceding that Mane and Salah equates to one Messi, because both of them did not take their chances but Messi did. I saw the game, the curved free kick on its own is worthy of the Ballon dor.

You made a little sense in your number 1 point (Still beg to differ), but it all went south from there... I am a neutral so I have no problems being objective, unlike you Barca fans...

Liverpool is not overrated, except we both watched different games last night... They only lacked the "Firmino Factor". Had he been there in his full form, they would have been up by at least 2 goals before that overrated biter's tap in.

Klopp is a very good coach, but falls short in big game tactics (Mourinho, Ancelloti, and Hiddink are way ahead). Valverde set up a tiki taka Barca to lean back, absorb pressure, and ruthlessly counter-attack which took Klopp by surprise.

On the comparison of Leagues... You need to give it a rest, cos you are not making sense at all. Atletico Madrid were embarrassed out by Juventus, does that make Serie A better?...

Finally, the games Barca played without Messi this season, how did they fare? Were they dynamic or exceptional?... Half a season without the wizard, and see them poorer than Real Madrid without Ronaldo.

far as I can tell,CR7 has 2 things Messi can never get till he retires:
1) 3 times consecutive winnings of UCL and
2) lifting a national team euro 2016

until he does these 2 things,I can never regard him as a GOAT where Ronaldo is.

argue with ur keyboards.

Even if Ronaldo and any other footballer plays football after life, There are two things Messi can do that no footballer can never do and they are:

1. No player can ever play football with EASE the way Messi does

2. No footballer can ever win the Ballon d'or 4 times consecutively like Messi Did.

Am a Barca supporter past, present and future.

You are wrong, Messi is not everything. He is an extraordinary player, probably the best in his generation but he still need 10 more players to get the job done.

He is not everything, he is not something either, he is something else grin

@least we have two "thugs" in Vidal and Suarez. They are something else too

deep down you know Barca would win this UCL. You can feel it in your bones, and you hate the feeling. So you are desperately hoping they lose. Man Utd, Madrid and Juve have been kicked out so you are reduced to supporting Liverpool.

In the final you'd go on to support Ajax and then have to endure posts and pics of Messi lifting the trophy. Sad season to be you.

Till then

just 2? Lol. Messi might just win the Copa America this year and this your post would then look stupid.

Ronaldo that cannot even outscore a 36 year old Fabio Quagliarella in Serie A. It took him 100+ games more than Messi to score 600 goals, despite the fact that Messi is both playmaker and goalscorer while Ronaldo is just a goal scorer.

Anyway, I can count many things that Messi has done that Ronaldo would never get. Here are just a few examples.

1) Scoring up to 91 goals in a calendar year.
2) Winning the treble twice (would be a treble of trebles at the end of this season).
3) Winning the golden ball in a world cup.
4) Playing in the final of a world cup.
5) Winning best player award more than once in 9 seasons of La Liga (Messi won 7/9, Ronaldo 1/9).

Face it, they aren't on the same level. It's has been media scam all along.

Shut ur mouth... they are not on the same level but Ronaldo has more CL titles and 5 balon d'or ... Till messi wins a cup with national team ..... Ronaldo remains undisputed

Having watched the first kegs of the Champions League semi finals, some lessons have been learned. Below are 5 things we learned from the Champions League:

1 Messi Is Everything: From telling Barcelona fans at the Camp Nou to stop whistling Coutinho to putting the referee under control and from scoring magical goals to creating play, Messi is everything as he is a magician, scorer, creator, and leader.

2 Liverpool Are Overhyped: Liverpool are a good team but they are not great. To be a great team, you must win trophies yet Liverpool have no trophies in decades. They constantly get close but they lose all. Their players are overhyped as well. If you have not faced Messi the way Pique and Co have faced Ronaldo, you should be humble.

3 Premiership Is Behind La Liga: There were four Premiership teams in the quarter finals but none will be in the final as Barcelona are poised to eliminate Liverpool and Ajax are to do the same to Tottenham. From Barcelona serving up a masterclass against Manchester United to winning Liverpool by 3 goals to nil, La Liga proves better than the Premiership.

4 Messi To Win Ballon d'Or: It is Messi turn to win the Ballon d'Or this season. And even if he doesn't win the Champions League, he has done enough this season to win it.

5 Barcelona Are Effective: Barcelona are without a loss this season in the Champions League and this proves their effectiveness.

You have learned nothing because you don't mind your own progress but others hence forever retrogressive. The Chinese league today is getting better by the minutes because they believe in themselves and not in Europeans like unpatriotic valueless Nigerians who will not benefit from other people franchise but will want to be part of it anyway due to their legendry low self esteem and lack of nark for hard work and incremental progress in life.

Giroud has won the world cup. Does that make him better than Ronaldo?

Ronaldo didn't play most of the final of the Euro his team won. He was useless while on the pitch and when he left, his absence was inconsequential same way his presence was inconsequential in the Madrid final against Liverpool. Those titles are a product of team effort.

Now that he left Madrid (where he was fed balls to tap in and where he won another UCL final despite dropping another disasterclass), can you see how subpar his performance is? He can't even outscore a 36 year old.

Argentina is just like Juve - full of big names that don't play so well as a team. The reason Messi hasn't won a national trophy with the senior team is the same reason Juve couldn't cross the quarterfinals this season and got knocked out of their own League Cup by Atalanta (Ronaldo was present both times).

He is not nearly as good a footballer a Messi, and you know it. That's why you guys usually bring the nonsense about him being more hardworking or a better leader.

How was he useless?? Or u don't know how to use the word...how useful was messi in the first half of the game?? So Ronaldo playing 25mins of the game means that he was useless...he was useless, but the French fans celebrated his exit after 25mins... Or will u also say that sala was useless b4 he was subbed due to injury in the final against Madrid...how do ur brains work??

U just typed crap...how can u b mentioning giroud?? It's like saying because benzema has won the CL 3times in a row then he is better than aguero....how does ur brain function... We are talking about rivals that are the champions of their respective teams and u calling giroud... Talking if juve... The CL is not the only major trophy to b won in a season... U can compare the CL to the WC for clubs and the league with the intercontinental trophies .... Messi can't win even ab intercontinental trophy with his native Argentina and u call him the greatest... At least Ronaldo has won the league win juve...meaning that he has won major trophies with every team that he has ever played for...messi has only won with one team... Whr was he in the past 3seasons in the CL??

Let him perform what he's doing with Barca in Argentina jersey...then I will say he's the best...till then I regard C.Ronaldo as the best...He won Euro cup for his country and He has won UCL 3 times Back to back...
Took Argentina to world cup final, won the golden ball upon not winning the cup, Yet you're asking of what did he do for Argentina? Was it not because of world cup final that modric won the fifa best and balon d'or?
