Godspeed with the reckless driving.

So all those "f" monikers you torment in Romance section never gree for you? behind every successful man is a woman, if you are successful and no woman except olosho at night then don't you think the problem is from you?

I think you should stop living life with reckless abandonment, there is a stage in life man must reach and he would decide when enough is enough. I will continue to pray for you the good book says the path of the righteous is treacherous and filled with great obstacles, he who the scales peel from his eyes would journey through to its end.

may the peace and blessings of the Lord be with your household brother, you can call me anytime for spiritual enlightenment I believe we can gain from each other

@emboldened

Easy brother, I would like to think every driver who has ever died from excessive speed thinks he's very fast and calculative.

We all encounter these guys who just replaced their corolla engine and want to race, the temptation to show them who the boss is is always there grin

Just dey do am small small, remember Paul Walker was being driven by a friend who is said to be a professional driver.

@Heavenlybang, congrats bro, Infiniti just dey sweet me to buy grin

And for the part most of you are concerned about. What are my thoughts on the Infiniti G35?

It's a brilliant car. Honestly.

Interior
The fit and finish is better than on my ES. Keep in mind that my ES was a fully loaded model. The sound system fuckin bangs, and the entire cockpit is just so well designed.

Handling
The car's steering is fuckin heavy! Stop whatever you're doing and go drive one. Heavy as hell. I'm a skinny dude and I feel like my biceps are going to grow if I drive this for three more months. Heavy and precise. There's a reason why the G knocked the BMW 3-series out of the way for a while. These cars are designed to make you enjoy driving.

Power
I have 306 horses under my hood, I'm not sure what you expect. The car moves. Fast. Wickedly fast. And AWD ensures I never lose traction at takeoff. Let me put this into perspective: Bar the E550, CLK550, and S550, there are no non-AMG Mercs faster than this car. None. And it will hang with those three cars until 80 MPH or so before they pull on it due to their 80 HP advantage. Let that sink in: It takes an extra 80 HP for a naturally aspirated V8 to be able to keep up.

That said, this thing is a gas guzzler! I have a heavy foot, so I'm probably at fault too. But, God, it drinks fuel.
Let me put this into perspective: I bought 40 L of fuel yesterday. I've driven about 50 miles, and I have just 50 miles of range left. The previous owner averaged about 14 MPG combined. I'll be happy to get 12.

That said, a full tank of gas took us back home from Lagos, which is about 290 miles (465 km), and I had about 15 litres left. I should be able to get 20-21 MPG if I keep the car at 2000 RPM, doing 80-100 KM/H. Basically the ideal speed for fuel economy.

Anyway, smiles per gallon are more important. Not a big deal. And anytime I step on the throttle--which is often--I'll be reminded of why I pay so much for fuel.

That is all.

Much thanks to everyone who helped.

yes.on Nigerian roads wink
I do it all the time and love how the crowd cheer on cheesy

All the drifting you watch on Top gear is usually possible ( at relatively low speeds) because the road has been adequately wetted to drastically reduce the coeffiecnt of friction Between the tires and the road to the point that the car may almost be aquaplaning.

To drift , you need a car that has the tendency to oversteer a lot ( this is why people love BMWs) and it has to be done at a threshold speed where the tires has been adequately warmed up to the point that it even becomes sticky ( increasing the possiblilty of sliding laterally), if it has to be done on paved roads.

It is a lot easier on unpaved, loosed roads sir. But on tarred roads? It requires adequate skill.

I am skilled and if you follow my write up,you go see where I write power slide undecided
You use speed enter bend and overseer, then counter steer while throttling accordingly.jeez, tired of explaining!

nurey ooooo. U deserve heaven today. The guy is still saying he does the stunt at a roundabout. All roundabout in d country r always busy unless midnight. By the way at what speed do u take the corners @ logobenz

It is quite possible at a round about due to centripetal forces acting on the vehicle at a specific speed ( Rwd cars o). But requires skill.

Congrat on your new beast. This machine is a joy to drive as I always have a smile on my face anytime the engine growls. I do hit 240km/h on lagos/ibadan expressway and for my mind I no dey speed. Sure this ride is a fuel guzzler if you have heavy foot but the smiles per gallon do compensate for it. Do update us on the modes as I will definitely be doing mine if they are worth it.

Seems we are all having a 3.5 V6 bug, biting us in the ass........

I also just settled for a Honda Legend aka Acura RL......

I would not be doing any mods, the car already growls like an angry lion, about to pounce on an antelope........

I have replaced all oils and filters...... Engine oil, automatic gear transmission fluid, power steering fluid, air filter etc etc

Would be replacing Front discs and front brake pads today.....

And rear disc and rear brake pads next week, that's all i am doing.....

Money is not smiling back at me........... cheesy

Great guy! Helped me with a lot. Also met a few Nairalanders whose monikers were either not revealed to me or escape me at the moment.

Anwyay, we got to Lagos on Saturday evening and planned on leaving first thing Sunday morning. That turned out to be a Pipedream grin
The crase painter didn't even touch the car until we arrived. We ended up getting the car on Sunday evening by half past six. Urgh. Stay till Monday morning and risk Lagos traffic on the first day of the school term? Fook it, we hit the road.

It's important to note that the car had no single powertrain fault. Not a CEL, nothing. Was serviced at an Infiniti dealership and its next service is still 1500 miles away.

Full tank of gas cost 10k. 70 litres. Hit the road by 8, was at Ore by past 11. Onwards to Biafra. Smooth sailing for the most part though there was an incident at Benin with police shooting. We got to Asaba and na there wahala land. Car refused to rev. Throttle Position Sensor. I think we hit a speed bump that dislodged the sensor or something. We managed to crawl to an Army checkpoint and fixed the issue.

Got to the Niger bridge by 3 am on the dot, and were home by 3:40. 7 hrs 30 mins.

I was trying to reach out to Oluwaseunla 5 or 6 days ago, he was busy he later informed me that he finished fixing a G35 around 7pm and that it was driven overnight and got to Nnewi around 3 am. I always felt Diportivo and Logobenz were the fastest of us all, now I know something or someone else is a speed demon. Oga Kingreign we go beat Abuja to Calabar thresholds together

You can comfortably power slide if you take a corner b/w 80-100kph at wide roundabouts like garrison in phc.
Did it once at amadi ama trans amadi.
Many times actually wink
I also do burn outs on sandy surfaces.
When I get my dream c63,I go do am for tarmac too

Garrison roundabout is big but you can’t do that stunt there without crashing into one of those culverts, I doubt the trans-Amadi also because of the demarcation. If you mention east/west toad then it’s understandable.

I believe u joor.....
I've done a 180 deg turn (at least 100kph can't remember) at aiyetoro gbede - kabba road before.... actually twice....

first was an accident; trying to dodge one idiot like that,.... decided that entering bush was better than hitting the idiot and having that on my conscience (tried my NFS skill) .... suprisingly vehicle just did a 180 on the lonely road.... tires screeching... front driver wheel came off the ground and back on the road.

second was intentional, saw what looked like Fulani armed robbers on that road on a cool Sunday evening.... blocked the road with a wooden slab filled with nails..... I could have stopped just in time but I said F**** this sh****t I aint being owned and tried it again in my trusty n powerful Honda Prelude .... God bless the man I bought that car from!

so I don't see it as impossible, fact is I'm done risking my life sha, it wasn't the first time I'll be in a vehicle doing it sha, my faculty mate then in school was always doing stunts with me in the vehicle....

the guy had a fatal accident with a Brand New ride shortly after he got a job..... he came out with minor bruises, his then fiancee managed to scale thru with minor injuries but the vehicle was totalled inside bush!

So, I got tired of my old ES330. Great car, comfortable cruiser, and just all-around solid enough that I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone buying a car in that price range. That said, it had a few issues:

- It rode like a boat
- It was not at all designed for my driving style. Ergo, aggressive, Mad Max driving. It's very much an executive car designed to get you from A to B in comfort
- It was EVERYWHERE! No sense of uniqueness with an ES.

Picking the Car to Buy
I needed to get something a bit more adventurous.
Budget: 3m

The idea was to pre-order and save costs, which would allow me get something a bit fancier. I quickly drew up a shortlist of cars.

- 2006 CLK 500
- Lexus IS350
- Porsche Cayenne S
- Audi A4/S4
- Mercedes Benz C350

However, my heart was already bent on one car: The 2007/2008 Infiniti G35. Al

It had to be the G35.

Nice one HeavenlyBang. Indeed, you need to live what you preach!

Thought so, the ES has a heavy power advantage. German cars are built for the Autobahn too, so they're always more receptive to higher speeds.

They do but they wouldn't really know if your car is registered or not until you get close and most times they are slow to react and you zoom past. Passed two of their points before they even knew I was close. Same goes for army check points.
