hello, I am pursuing Ph.D. in India from a well-reputed university, but in India getting a job is not too easy. I always thought that where is my future Job and one day I got FreeJobAlert. which provide me the latest recruitment notification for Ph.D. holders.

Are you sure you are a scholar?
I saw your post on the other thread about Igbos in yorybaland and I honestly doubt you are a learned fellow.

Then you post this below with no reference to authenticate the information. The kind of academics being churned out by Nigeria. Na wa oh.

No scholar without character disorder. You only have to control it. Perhaps, it's not churned out of ignorance, you politely ask for reference. Na wa oh

Intelligence is different from character. We should not tie intelligence to character. You can be smart and still be obnoxious, you can be intelligent and still be a racist, or tribalism or troll e.t.c. Also let's try to differentiate the message from the messenger. Alot of the publishers he/she highlighted are not indexed and some are contained in beall's list of predatory journals. Although predatory journals is another argument entirely.

Good day prof. wip7 and scholars, please I am in need of advice on how to get hosted by a lecturer abroad, in order to perform biochemical analyses on my samples. I am already enrolled as a PhD student in Nigeria as a parasitologist, and I am currently collecting samples (parasite and fish tissue), however to analyse these samples for PAHs and other pollutants I need over 2 million naira.

What steps can I follow in approaching a potential host lecturer?

Thanks

My Latest SCI PUBLICATION (January 2019): A novel magnetic mesoporous resin for recovery of phenolics from oily wastewater and its reuse for industrial applications

Publisher: Journal of Porous Materials, SCI article by Springer

Summary: Petroleum and various oily wastewater contain dangerous (if exposed to higher dose) but industrial useful phenolics. In my lab, we focussed on the fabrication of highly porous resins with high exchange capacity for recovery of the phenolics from simulated and industrial oily wastewaters. The recovered phenolics were purified and processed to be used in cosmetics industries.

Research: Carried out at Cyprus science University and Eastern Mediterranean University. Purified recovered products have been graded and sold to Ataks Cosmetics in Turkey for soap and body lotion formulations.
Goodafternoon sir, I am olanrewaju,i sent you an email somedays ago, please sir your advice is needed.thanks.

Good day sir, Wip7. I wish you successful endeavor ahead, I still appreciate your previous contributions, my proposed area of research is still Bioethanol production from lignocellulosic materials , my focus is on toxic compounds, how to remove them or convert them to less toxic compounds. Most of these compounds are carbonyl compounds, they are electrophilics, they can easily form covalent bond with biological nucleouphiles such as s. cerevisiae, therefore become inhibitors, amino acid was used to inactivate the electrophilicity(responsible for the inhibition) of the carbonyl. My question can we use deep eutectic solvent instead of amino acid. . Thanks for your time to read my shallow post.

Thanks for cool comments. I decided not reply his comments because I know the type of person that typifies his respond. It is not compulsory for him to trust that list. Thanks again for your good reply.

I read through some comments underrating PhDs produced from Nigerian Universities. To my own understanding, Nigerian doctoral students carry out their research under the worst academic conditions with no assistance from the Government or corporate bodies.
Can you imagine that no Nigerian Universities ( I stand to be corrected) can boast of Inductively Coupled Plasma-Mass Spectrometry (ICP-MS) or Laser Microscope, yet you expect Nigeria academia who pay through their nose to get their work done to compete favourably?
I don't believe Nigerian PhDs are inferior, I only think we need a better research conditions to bring out to the best in us. Give us conditions similar to what is obtainable in US, China, Canada, SA among others and see what Nigerian PhDs can offer. Till then never blame any Nigerian researcher.
There are still many research opportunities in Nigeria and like to suggest to the Professor that open this trend that we can create research groups based on research interests and get through his and other researchers advice link for funds and possible collaborations.
Thanks.

Yes, ionic liquids can be used for the extraction of the toxic activates within the oil streams. You can try various ionic liquids and you can compare the extraction efficiency of synthetic and green ionic liquids to choose the highest performing ionic liquids for your specific case.

Lots of literature on this!
Best wishes

Kindly google Environmental microbiology journals published by Elsevier, springer, Taylor & Francis and Willey.

Go through recent research published there to get idea, ensure you choose the topic that you have the equipment to carry it out at your lab and also your supervisor should be able to give numbers of researchable topics.

After skimming through, it appears as though the thread is dominated by Doctoral students in the sciences. Are there any Doctoral students of History here?

Ok, great. It is good to meet you. PhD right? What are are you specialised in & how’s the research coming?

By the way, I an curious as to how a History graduate would want to apply for a job in Zoology Department, it is quite confusing. Do you have a background in Zoology?

That Zoology question wasn't for me but asked for someone. Not everything that you see refers to a specific person. I am a historian (BA International Relations (MSc) and now specialising in military history (PhD)

I thought so too. A BA & MSc international relations but PhD in cultural history is quite an interesting academic progression. I didn’t think one could switch disciplines without a prior background, I guess we learn new things daily.

Good to meet you.

Unijos then had only History department, with electives from Political science (International Relations). Few years back they introduced International studies to the dept. Making it dept of history and international studies. So with MSC in either Strategic Studies, Peace Studies or International Relations you will be admitted to PhD History in any university since they are related.

OK.

Not all schools accept anything less than MA in History, I can tell you much about University of Ibadan.

While your post is not quite clear. I was just surprised you had Bachelors and Masters in International Relations [or is it History and International Relations?] and then went on to get into History at Doctoral level.

Anywho I'm into socio-cultural history, particularly of the Yoruba. What ethnic group/nationality forms your scope?

B.A History, MSc International Relations, PhD (History and International Studies). The department is now History and International Studies not just History. Hope you understand now.
