Good afternoon everyone. I was denied an American Visa middle of last year. I have been to Spain and Italy since then. I spent three weeks in all during the visit. My social and financial ties are OK. Married with kids and employed with a good job. I wanted to know if visiting these countries and returning on time would pass for a GOOD travel history during my next interview. |

Hello house, Please I need help from you all. There’s a section on the form that asks if you’ve lost a passport before or if it’s been stolen? I was robbed in 2016 and my passport was one of the items stolen from me. Please do I select yes and narrate this incident or select no and move on with my application. I wouldn’t want to draw negative attention to my application that’s why I’m asking. P.S my old passport number is on my new passport page. Thank you |

annikanyi: Rhetorical question I presume. By deductive reasoning, @the bolded should point you in the right direction invariably.... How did you get the new passport thereafter? Police extract? Whatever it was is key now as you must click on YES to that question in that section.. As simple as it seems, clicking NO is enough reason for your application to be written off no doubt by the VO.... That's misrepresentation; innocent or deliberate, and punishable! 3 Likes |

Hello guys, Kudos to all. Can someone please give a link/ guide on how to get an appointment scheduled for visa interview. I’m trying to help a friend but Once I click on the schedule appointment it’s asking me to login again/create an account . Do I have to submit the DS-160 first ? Payment has been made but it’s not taking me to the page to provide the details. Please guide me. Thanks in anticipation. |

Hello everyone, I'm new to the forum and need help with my case. I got a scholarship around March ending to attend an academic conference in the US for mid July. I immediately applied for a Visa, unfortunately my interview date is in August, which is after the conference. I have applied for an Expedited Interview but was denied. Please is there any other thing I can do in order not to loose the scholarship opportunity. |

Re: USA Visit Visa Part 4 by OmoBendel24: 10:35pm On May 06, 2019 |
Jesutomisinlolu: 1. Getting a suitable appointment date will be A miracle 2. Everything is possible, earlier dates may pop-up, keep checking regularly, severally in a day, every now and then. Remember to use another account (that isn't having an interview scheduled) to do this monitoring, lots of fortune and speed is required as you likely have other people doing same this period.... |

Good Morning people, Please I need your help. I will like to apply for B1/B2 visa to travel in October and return 31st Jan 2020. However my passport is expiring 19th Jan 2020. And I read that your passport must be valid through out your stay in the US. Can I use the passport like that to apply for the visa or do I first renew it? Also, will you advice that I pick Abuja or Lagos as my interview location? I'm scared of the time the passport renewal will take given that I need to schedule my visa appointment asap. Please kindly assist me, Thanks. |
Re: USA Visit Visa Part 4 by OmoBendel24: 11:34am On May 07, 2019 |
pinkgems: To save time, apply now with the current about to expire passport, then start its renewal process immediately. You can attend your interview with both passports if you have the new one by then,if not, go with the available old one, Visa can be granted and issued on it, but by all means ensure you get a new passport to combine with the old one before travelling. Start the process now! Also, picking Abuja or Lagos makes no difference, same standard. 2 Likes |

My mum and I is been invited for a wedding in October. I have an international passport but she doesn't have one. so she went to the immigration office today at Festac for a new passport. she was told it COULD take a month for it to be out cos they don't have materials for now. I am afraid we may not be able to see an interview date before the wedding. I thought international passports doesn't waste time to come out. I don't know what to do. what can one do in such situation. |
